hey everyone..just wanted to share something for those out there who may be suffering with this like me...did i actually get a diagnosis...no..but it all seems to fit..and i found it by accident
Lutenizing unruptured follicle syndrome...what is you ask..please google it and research but as far as i can tell..
your body produces all the proper hormones..you get a positive opk everymonth, you get a rise on bbt showing you ovulated, you can have regular cycles yet not get pregnant and seem to develop cysts...simple follicular cyst...i'm not talking about pcos...these are the cysts will eventually pop or dissolve over time....why are the cysts forming..because you are not

ovulating...the egg is never released thus causing the cyst..a subtle form of annovulation. your body and some tests will act like you still ovulate but you dont..
here is the kicker...some over the counter NSAIDS can cause it...ibuprofen, motirin, asprin...look up the rest..just wanted to share with you all to be careful of use of these drugs while ttc..
i have been constantly forming cysts on my right ovary..and i am a chronic user of ibuprofen for joint pain, severe headaches and backache..i never knew it could inhibit the actual release of egg..
in one article it says it is reversible if you have lufs related to use of NSAIDS..
please do further research if ttc..:)
good luck to everyone and :dust: :dust: and more :dust:

Thanks! That is good to know! I was taking a lot of ibuprofen for a few months because of my back. I try and stop taking it a few days before I should ov, and wait to take it again till af comes. Hope that is enough time to stop before ov! Gl to you!

I used to take ibuprofen lot for head aches and back ache bu stopped taking it over a month ago as it can also affect your cervical mucus. I have since noticed a difference. It's amazing what these things do to you without realising x

I was just going to make a similar post 2 days ago, lol!

I'm an Advil popper with at least 1-2 days of headaches every week. I didn't know it had that possible effect! On to Tylenol I go.

So is Tylenol safe to take then? If not, do you know what pain killer would be?

tylenol is..you have to follow the directions of course and not take more than 3000mg or 3gms in a 24 hour period..it's hard on the liver if you do..but it doesn't hurt or inhibit ovulation from what i can tell.
i couldn't understand why i kept coming up with this follicular cysts..and when i seen this article i thought it would be interesting to share. I have 3 follicular cysts on my right ovary..small in size..i could have all the :sex: in the world but if the follicle doesn't rupture, no egg to be fertilized..i couldn't understand it..my dh's :spermy: count is over 103million, well over the good category..
i have vowed to only take the ibuprofen if absolutely necessary...trying to stick to the tylenol only.
i had to take bcp's last month to help inhibit ovulation to prevent any new cysts from forming and help shrink cysts already there(although not necessarily proven to help shrink, but they try it anyway) i finally got to start clomid this month..today will be the last day and then i take a trigger shot when my follies are large enough..all the articles i researched said that the trigger shot is one of the treatments for lufs...
i hope this helps everyone...i'm not a dr, but i am a registered nurse and a woman trying to conceive and want to find out what's going on with my body..

Thanks for the info loveanurse! I'm not a huge aspirin-taker but I will definitely be more careful now. Looks like you are finally getting some answers & the clomid should help with your ov too. GL!
