Weight Loss While TTC Support Group

woohoo!! good luck this week!!:thumbup:

i've read that about intervals too. in the turbo class i do at the gym, the instructor says a similar thing. after we get warmed up, we do an "old" routine then we practice (aka LEARN for me:haha:) a different routine once, to get our heart rates back down, and then do that routine hard. and then repeat with different routines and kicks and stuff. turns out to be two minutes easy two minutes hard. i started 2 thursdays ago, so i've almost been doing it for 2 full weeks.:bodyb: it's actually starting to be fun...!?:shock::haha:

as for ttc, i'm on CD2 and having the worst cramps ever. it was a struggle to get out of bed this morning.:dohh: am about to call for a telephone consult with the OB doc who did my miscarriage follow-up appt to talk about ttc and my upcoming colposcopy and timing and everything, but i am hoping we can at least try in february.[-o<

Sounds like a good workout! I'm starting to enjoy running again too, it's nice when It starts getting enjoyable!

Hope AF has mostly shown herself out now! I really hate that time of the month. Hope you don't have to skip trying in february!

I am cautiously pregnant so my weight loss will have to go on hold until the end of the year. I will still be eating healthy though.

AFM: Had my doctor appt today. No signs of anything with the physical exam today. Having an ultrasound and blood work done to check for fibroids/polyps or thyroid problems. She things my late cycle bleeding is related to nursing but wants to just make sure.

1 dpo today, hoping for my bfp!!! Ready to be preggers again!

Did the aerobics core video today and man am I feeling it! I cut my Calories a bit more this week. Hope to see some more results this week. Kinda disappointed about last week....
 
Ladies - I weighed in today. MyFitnessPal reminded me that I havent weighed in in 2 weeks. I didnt weigh in last week because I knew it would be bad (scale avoidance!). I usually weigh in on Mondays, but couldnt this past Monday because my son was in the hospital and I was there with him.
Well - scale said 159 today! Woop. So I still lost 2 pounds even with struggling to get my workouts in.
Now I'm going to try and get back into my regular routine of 4x/wk workouts and calorie counting. I think my goal of 155 by my birthday (March 15) is definitely doable, if not more!

Congrats on the 2 lbs!!!! That's too funny, I weighed in at 159 too, down from 161 :flower: so happy to see that 5! Now I can't wait to see the 140s!
 
I agree, DHB! I cant wait to see the 140's! So excited to be in the 150's though! I weighed 151 when I got pregnant with my son 2.5 years ago and havent seen it since (the closest I got was 156, then gained it all back!).

i am steaming about something totally unrelated to ttc or weight loss, but figure getting on the scale today would only potentially add to the list of things i am pissed off about:roll: so no weigh in for me, even though i want to know! ha! i'm going to the gym on saturday with my husband to lift/run on the elliptical, so we'll see then!
 
I agree, DHB! I cant wait to see the 140's! So excited to be in the 150's though! I weighed 151 when I got pregnant with my son 2.5 years ago and havent seen it since (the closest I got was 156, then gained it all back!).

Very similar here, weight around 155 when I got pregnant with dd (which was still a good 10-15lbs over weight) got down to 162 early summer, gained back to 172, I'm now at the lowest since getting pregnant with dd.

Down to 157 now! That's 15 lbs total! :happydance: been doing well with my calories and exercise 6 days a week :thumbup: seeing the 150s have given me a boost, it's been over a month now, proud of myself for not giving up even the week where I wasn't seeing much change on the scale, didn't let it get me down :flower:

Also I'm 6dpo, hope to get my bfp on the weekend! Only 10 day LP from BF so I will now by Saturday night.... I'm hoping for bfp but will be fine if it doesn't happen. I think BF is making it more challenging since it's messing with my LP... but I'm not quite ready to wean just yet. 1 more try after this, then a break so no more Xmas bdays in the family. I will wean then if I have to.

Had US and blood work to check on bleeding on cd9/10, she thinks that is from BF too, no polyps or fibroids found on US and no thyroid issues from bloodwork.

How are you ladies?????
 
i didn't end up going to the gym on saturday, but went sunday (elliptical, lifting:arms) and then walked 60 minutes/4 miles, yesterday and went to the Turbo Kick class at the gym today.

i weighed myself on sunday and i'm back down to my starting weight. at least not higher, right?:roll:

BUT, my husband *finally* got on the diet train. so i restarted using the Lose It! app and got him to download it. we're counting calories, logging exercise and trying to get in shape/lose some pounds. (losing will get put on hold when i get pregnant, but until then...:bodyb:)


and CONGRATS on getting into the 150s!!!!:happydance:

AFM - fell off the wagon again...have to get back on. Hoping to get a schedule wrote out with what workouts I am doing each day of the week. I think that might help me stay on track better. I need more variety - I've been doing only Zumba and Latin Hip Hop and I dont think its enough to budge the weight.
 
Everyone is doing so well with their weight loss! I didn't weigh in last Monday because it was Superbowl Sunday and I of course indulged some. Then I was sick all last week with my daughter so couldn't make it to the gym and wasn't able to eat 100% healthy. But I do have news...I got my :bfp:!!! Looks like weight loss will have to wait, but I'm over the moon excited and I'm still going into this pregnancy a good 25lbs lighter than the last one, so I'm comfortable with that. Woo-hoo! I'm still looking forward to cheering you ladies on in your journey to healthiness and :bfp:s!
 
Hello can I join? I'm currently waiting on AF CD 60 but anyway I have decided to lose weight to see if my periods can return to every 30 days as they were before. I have 6 children with no problems conceiving until the last 2 years when my weight has crept from 215 to 255. My goal weight is 185 realistically even though technically I should weigh 155. But anyway I want to join~

I'm still going to work out and eat much healthier this pregnancy. I can't gain 70lbs again, losing it sucked. I've been back at the gym the last 2 days and am setting up a couple personal training sessions with a prenatal specialist trainer for next week. I want to make sure I don't do anything I shouldn't and work on the areas that will be the most beneficial to mine & baby's health.

What are you all doing to stay healthy while TTC?

I have been (trying to) run. I'm really bad at is and can barely go a block before switching to walking. I also do some exercise routines that I found on youtube.
 
Welcome Tankel! So sorry about your loss :cry:

I try to eat really clean and maybe have 1 cheat day a week. I drink a gallon of water a day and that really help flush things out. In terms of exercise, I go to the gym and do 30-45mins of cardio followed by 20-30 mins of strength training. If you are just starting out running, definitely ease into it. When I first started losing weight after my daughter, I started with just 1 mile and would walk 5 mins, run 5 mins. Over time, I increased the running time and mileage till I was all the way up to 7 miles a day some days! Once your body gets used to it, it will become easier and easier.
 
thanks. I have bee running for a few years but it is so hard for me. I did stop for a while when I was first TTC and then When I had my :bfp: and I think I just need to get back into it.

so make going a block your goal. when you get to the end of the block, walk the rest. and do that for a week (3 or 4 times?) and then try to make it to the next block the next week. it's so hard when you can't do as much as you want to be able to do, but baby steps!:thumbup:

i used to hardly be able to do half the stuff in this Turbo Kick class i take at the gym and was sore/in pain for 2 days afterward but yesterday i did almost all of it and actually felt good.:shock: it's taken 3 weeks to get to that point though...just gotta start and stick with it, even when it feels like you're not getting anywhere - you are!!:bodyb:

i'm trying to lose about 15 pounds too because i gained 20 in the last year, since living together/getting married:blush: i want to wear all my cute pants again!!!:hissy::haha:

Sorry you're having trouble staying the course :hugs: some days I want to give up and just eat everything I can. Thankfully I haven't! Variety is definitely the key! Keeps you from getting bored and you lose weight more, keeps your body guessing!

Welcome! Wow you are a busy woman! How do you have time to eat at all? Haha :haha: setting smaller realistic goals is the best way to tackle weight loss. GL with with being healthy and TTC! Hope your cycles normalize soon! :flower:

Welcome! Running is good, I do that a couple times a week and some youtube aerobics videos. I like cafemom videos. They say the trick is intervals anyways, so run a little walk a little, run, walk, etc. just do what you can. The main thing is getting out and being active, and slowly increase duration/ intensity. GL! :flower: also I added you to the front page but the only stat I have for you is that you want to lose 20lbs. If you want me to update it just let me know :)
