Hi gals. Well, been crying most of the day...I'm trying not to over-react, but I can't help it. Hubbys sperm motility is low (or borderline normal/low I should say), at 40. So, the

don't swim well... how are they supposed to reach the egg?! Sigh. We're still waiting on the morphology results.
My boss (a family dr) says not to worry too much, because the lab conducted the semen analysis two hours after he dropped off the sample... 'the

just got tired', he says. He says things are 'probably okay'. I wish I could just not worry, but OF COURSE I'm worried!
Going to see my family doctor on Friday, see what she says. Maybe IUI is in order? We shall see.
Do any of you have any experience with low sperm motility? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
xo
Hi Posey - please try not to worry - I think 40 is pretty good! Are you talking sperm count or motility? My husband's just came back with 31% motility (Rapid progressive ones) and the Morphology is 68% (it says that morphology greater than 30 is normal)... My ND wasn't worried when she saw his results. He has been taking a lot of supplements to improve like, L-Carnitine, CoQ10, Zinc, Vitamin C etc for the last 5-6 months. Remember that men's sperm is like women's eggs - they need 3 months to improve quality (ie. if you take supplements may take that long to improve)...as it is a 3 month cycle to renew.
Does he have 40% Rapid Progressive ones?... I think the morphology will tell you more! Good luck hun!
Maria, Ella, LilS, Gemmy, thank you for your responses. WOW, all you ladies on this thread are the best

I don't share these concerns with many close people in my life, so it's so therapeutic to have you gals here xo
Maria, yes, I will wait on the morphology... our lab 'criteria' for low motility here is below 40, they say to refer men to Fertility Specialists when their motility is below 40 here where I live

I called the fertility clinic right away when I found out, she said to put the referral through because it takes a while for someone of my age to be seen by the doc anyways (we have one fertility specialist in the city). SO, that is my plan, just have it in place in case we need it.
That's interesting, your hubby has 31%, but 30% rapid progressive? Okay, that sounds positive... my hubby's results didn't differentiate between rapid progressive or other. I'll wait to see what the morph. reveals. GL to you ma'lady xo
Hubby will be ordering FertilPro supplements, and yes I have heard it takes 3 months to benefit. Darn waiting waiting waiting
GL to all you ladies, wherever you are. Beautiful, I'm sorry the

came... always so unwelcome, she is.
Here's to hoping we get some BFPs soon xo
