Ella - good for you I'm glad you are keeping both options open!
So sorry to hear about mc!I would have thought it would show up too, so I'm hesitant, but a little suspect when people go way past 15/16DPO & then have heavy bleeding, but you "could" just get a short bleed for mc I suppose?
Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about now - testing early. Maybe test at 12DPO? a "lot" seem to be in by then - I think 70-80%? Some people would rather not know about chem pregs, but if you've had mc before, I am a believer in knowing all you can to increase chances & if you are having missed mc's, I know I'd want to know to see why it is I am not implanting, up my baby aspirin, up my prog cream & up my folic acid (or better yet L-5-MTHFR, better form of folic acid I am learning). All 3 of those things are not harmful whether you have a condition or not so maybe start taking them after ov? (well, you would take folic acid every day, the others can/should be 2WW meds only). I think you may have mentioned before that you were taking baby aspirin, are you taking anything else to "make sticky"/assist in implantation?
I am also open to suggestions if you/anybody else has them bc I'm recurrent mc... (& I know in my heart I've had more than the 2 in my signature, toojust not confirmed by Dr...)
GL to you hun & keep us updated (I'll be stalking, too...)!!!

When I mc'd I had a normal period for 5 days, a little heavy because the cycle was over 30 days, it started to dry up...and bam. Super heavy bleeding. We're talking soaking through pads/tampons in under 10 minutes at times. The doc put me on meds to help stop the bleeding because it was so heavy (at least that's what he told me) but it did help, so I can't really complain. I still had a 2 1/2 week period despite the meds. Not fun.
So, I don't think I've had an mc with a two day AF, but I do have a secret fear that in a couple of days I'm going to have a massive bleed again. DH worries about it too, bless him. I mean...where has all the blood gone? If there was only that tiny bit of blood in there all month, does that mean there's something else wrong that I need to worry about? Could it have been IB or something? Is it just hormones? No idea. It's been a weird cycle all around, so I guess I'm just riding it out at the moment.
I'm trying not to stress out, but I'm torn between hopeful and worried. Not to mention that I've been randomly bursting into tears the past couple of days. Seriously, I'll be reading a book or watching tv and then I'm crying and I don't know why. It really freaks DH out. My hormones are just so out of whack at the moment. That's probably why my TWW symptoms keep coming back.
I used to be a test after AF is late because I didn't want to know about any chemical pgs, but now I'd rather know that be stuck in limbo. I would love to even get a hint of a line. I feel a bit robbed that I didn't get to see one back in Dec/Jan. But at the same time, I might have been even more heartbroken about it if I did. So maybe it is for the best...
As for sticky making, I've been taking folic acid for a while but now I'm eating pineapple and walnuts for implantation. Walnuts are a new addition. It's what some doctors recommend to women doing IUI and IVF to help aid implantation, so I figure it can't hurt for me to eat them. Plus I love nuts. They say to start at like 4-5DPO and eat a handful a day until the end of your cycle. We'll see if they work.
Thanks for the support Lil.
Can I just say that I love the TWW. You ladies really are awesome.
Ella,
I would call your doctor and see what they recommend. I think that they'll likely do a blood test. I've spoken with several people who didn't get a BFP until they were THREE WEEKS late. It could be that the HCG isn't building up in your urine. When I had my first miscarriage, the doctor said that spotting was completely normal in early pregnancy and that some people spot throughout the whole thing, so you could be having IB right now. Give your doctor a call and see what they say!
