Welcome to Trying To Conceive #1

Well I'm officially out this cycle. Back to CD1.

So sorry to hear, lacanadienne. I can completely understand how frustrating it is when AF gets you and you're back at start.

Wishing you tons of baby dust:dust: and hugs:hugs:

Our baby is gone.

I've been having some spotting and on-and-off cramping so we went to the ER this morning, and the doctor confirmed that I had a very early miscarriage.

I am absolutely shattered.

I am going to take a break from this board until we start ttc again.

My warmest best wishes to all of you. I bet I'll see lots of happy news from you gals when I come back. God bless you all. :hugs:

Oh goodness me I'm so so sorry to have read your news my love and thoughts are with you both don't loose hope you'll have a bean that sticks soon!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Take all the time you need! I know how hard it is to get your hopes up and then be crushed by an m/c. Take some time for yourself and do some things that make you feel good...I hope that you're doing okay. :hugs:

Hello and welcome! :flower:

I'm sorry to hear of the confusion you are going through! That must be very frustrating. What type of test are you using?

I was using internet dip strips and was having a real tough go of making heads or tails of the results, so I switched to a Clearblue Easy Digital, which says the actual words, and that made such a big difference to me.

Wishing you the best of luck!!

All of them!! lol... I bought the digital ones from Clear Blue and was getting BFN, then switch to EPT hoping that maybe I can see some sort of faint line but nothing, and the this morning I used FRER. I know I need to calm down, but the not knowing either way is making me crazy! I just need a definite answer. This is cruel!!

Have you tried a fertility monitor? It's the best way for me as OPKs don't seem to work. Especially as fm works on 2 hormones not just one
Just a thought xxx

Hi Phoenix,

Yes I bought one last month but had to wait for the 1st day of my cycle to use it. :coffee: still waiting...

I just got home from the doctors where they did a blood test. Now all I have to do is wait...:coffee:

Oh boo - HATE waiting!!
What cd are you? Xx

Hi lacanadienne just wanted to thank you for your suggestion of the book taking charge of your fertility I got it a couple of days ago and finding it very interesting, so much information !I have also started to take my temperature, I'm a bit concerned that the spotting which can be up to 5 days before my period is my issue as it could be cutting my luteal phase short but I guess I will not know until I have done a full chart and I can see if my temps drop to quickly after ovulation even though I am worried there may be something wrong I feel liberated that I'm taking a bit more control as I'm learning so much more about how my body works.
wishing you all lots of :dust:

Hi samiam8885 welcome :) I'm pretty new myself. Taking charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler I have only started reading a couple of days ago but I'm really finding it helpful so far , It is a big book looks quite intense but it covers alot of ground and break's down how to chart temps and CM each cycle. I really recommend it if you want to have a deeper understanding of how your cycles work it is pretty in depth but find it a good read and very informative . I have only been ttc for 3 months but I really felt I needed to take more control as the waiting game was driving me crazy.

Learning about your body is key! It can really make a difference in how quickly you get preggo. I'm so glad you're taking control now. I hope it leads to a BFP for you soon!

I have been taking a bit of a break from the board this weekend, but I'm back. Karen, if you read this, I'm really SO sorry to hear about your bad news. If it helps any, statistically speaking, women who have had a miscarriage are more likely to carry a pregnancy to term later. I know it must be heart-breaking, though.

Dolly, I'm glad you're liking my book recommendations, and that you're understanding more about how your body works. Understanding and information are basically what keep me sane through this whole process.

Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum. Recently my DH and I decided to forgoe contraception and try for a baby:happydance:. I stopped taking BCP's at the end of Dec, and we stopped using condoms in March. April was the first month of unprotected sex, but no luck. My fertility for May was supposed to be the 9-14th. We BD'd thrice in this interval.
My period has been irregular since I went off of BCP's. 28, 31, 35, 33 were my cycles for this year so far. I think I'm going to be a 30 day plus cycle based on previous months. (I was always 28 days before BCP's) AF expected Memorial Day. I hope this is the magical month!
Also I feel crazy looking up information about pregnancy. DH and I are keeping this pretty hush for now. I was born into (and married into) families which are all about academic and career achievement and I don't want anyone to rain on my parade or tell me to focus on the above :nope:

Thanks so much for opening this forum. I have been trying to conceive for about 10 years but no luck. My bf and I are frustrated but we still keep our hopes up every month.

Hi TwoTiels - Welcome!! I am new too and have found this site to be just want I needed to feel like I'm not alone in the struggle. The ladies here seem to be so so friendly and supportive. This site has also helped not freak out over not getting a bfp right away.

fxd for you!!

I recently came off of BC and as a result have had irregular periods. A coworker who also was in the same boat when she was trying to conceive recommended the Blue Clear Fertility Monitor. Its a bit pricey but she said that she bfp within a couple of months of using it, after trying for a few months with no success. She also used it with her second. I went out and got one but haven't had a chance to use it as I am still waiting for my next cycle to begin.

Wishing you a bfp! :dust:

Well I'm either 2 or 3 DPO...FF is having a difficult time making up its mind...I believe I am 2 DPO...really hope this is finally my cycle as obviously you all know there is nothing easy about this at all! Even when you think you understand your body FINALLY...guess what, you don't! AHhhhhh Happy Baby Making to all!!

:dust:

Hi. I've been trying to conceive for 15years now. I never really understand y, but all I hav had was bfn's. I have never been pregnant. I've been to so many gyno's and after 15 years of trying I am just finding out that I have pcos. So I hav been taken metformin 3 times a day n it has been a doozie even wit food. Wow! But I'm steadfast on fixing this infertility problem. I found a new gyno a specialist that examined me and thinks I may have endometriosis because of my pelvic pain. So he has ordered me a laparoscopy on June 2, which is two weeks away!yay!! He said in the procedure he should b able to unblock my tubes, remove any cysts, and any endometriosis he finds. I hope everything goes well n I will b able to get pregnant soon

I'll keep all u wonderful ladies posted on my lap. I hear that most women get pregnant within months after the surgery.
