Morning Ladies
Coy That is too funny that you were cooking burgers the night I said no McDonalds for you! Burgers are fine in moderation, it is the extra fat that is added by fast food places. When I make burgers I usually use a lean meat, and I grill them so much of the fat drips away. That helps! Just eat! As for the low blood sugar feelings, I get that occasionally too. Although I'm surprised that you got it after having eaten fruit and granola and shredded wheat. None of those things would cause a sugar spike and then a drop. Maybe it really was the exertion of the walk and heat with being pregnant that caused it. Have they done a glucose tolerance test on you? You might want to check that out, as gestational diabetes is not uncommon.
Ali- yep, I cook them lean too and very rarely....Also, re: the gestational diabetes. Funnily enough my doctor told me he does not test for that u nless he notices something looking wrong
Personally, I think they ought to test for it, in both my other pregnancies they did, but I was woth a different doctor (a WOMAN
) LOL! So
I use dh's diabetes at home test kit to check occasionally. Today I am trying two steamed eggs and a nectarine for a late breakfast and see how that works
I did like eating earlier yesterday then about dinner time we just have fruit or a veggie salad.
Nuts to feeling icky, but it does happen doesn't it! We women go through these monthly nightmares
no matter what!
lol.... I have an awesome feeling for you this month, I am so glad they flushed your other ovary out!
