Welcome Kelly! It seems to me that if you conceived late last year, then you're probably in good shape to do it again. Have you seen a fertility specialist?

Good morning ladies :) Anyone up for some symptom analysis?

I'm 7 or 8 DPO and my temps have been screwy all month. I generally wake up at around 4am when DH comes to bed and then again at 7am for work. My temps have been lower at 4am than at 7am, sometimes by as much as a full degree. I've been mostly charting the lower temp. Things got really confusing around ovulation, so I don't know whether I'm 7 or 8 DPO. In prior months, it was more clear.

Last night, we had dinner at at 8pm; I was hungry immediately after. I ate a giant ice cream at 10pm, which is unusual for me. Then had a bout of nausea at 11pm. We are visiting the in-laws; my MIL was keeping me up to chat while I was feeling nauseous. I didn't tell her because I don't want her to get excited.

At 4am, I woke up and had a temp of 97.9. At 7:30am, it was 98.7. That is very high for me. I checked vag temp too and it was 99.1!

Morning! I really don't have a clue what that means, I hope it is good though :) :hugs: :dust:

It is Saturday and I'm on call.. I want to be able to go out and enjoy the day but I can't go too far from my laptop. No fair! I am going to take my laptop with me to a friends for dinner tonight, but other than that I will probably stick around the cottage. I have some chores to do with my Mom and we need to finish the gardening.

I had a dizzy spell last night, it took me by surprise, and I keep having these mild bouts of nausea. Nothing too bad, but just enough to make you go hmm.. I'm only 3DPO so it is really early for me to feel anything I think. We'll just have to wait and see what the p4 test says on Wednesday, and then go from there. I'm trying to decide if I want to do another ultrasound at that time. I have been having some cramping on the right ovary (the one that didn't have a follicle), and the nurse mentioned that it is something I can do if I want to see the corpus luteum and confirm ovulation. Won't the p4 do that anyway? The ultrasound is $95.. just not sure if it is worth it?

Hi Kelly! I was in much the same boat! I am 37 and had a mc in November of 2011. I asked my doctor about the age thing and he told me as long as I am healthy then I really didn't need to worry too much about the health of my eggs...We got pregnant again in January 2012 (just a couple months later) and I am now in my 6th month.

It is very stressful ttc. No need to add to that by worrying about your age! 39 is by no stretch old and I am sure you have plenty of great eggs in there :) As you got pregnant just recently that is proof you can get pregnant. So try not to worry too much! I think it's just all a matter of timing.

What methods for tracking are you using? Are you basal body temping (I found this to be helpful to pinpoint my ovulation dates) and using opk's? I did both and it helped immensley!

Welcome! :friends:

Hm, not sure if P4 would confirm Ov or not  (Um, P4 is progesterone...right? lol) I'd say if you are terribly stressed about it then def have the ultrasound (if you can afford to do so reasonably) but if not- then wait. Time will confirm all things :hugs: and only a week or so left for that confirmation. Tww is a bi@#h! As for the nausea, rising hormones can cause that

Nuts!for having to be on call:growlmad: So much for vacation, right? At least you are getting to see some of your family. Do you miss FL yet or are you still loving the Canadian life? :)

Ah, the thunderstorm was awesome last night! :rain: It is 10:am here and still very beautifully cool  Some clouds and cool air...(breath innnnn) Ahhhh. :laugh2: I actually slept very late, well, 7:15 anyway  Anyway I usually do when it rains, it's so relaxing. And I woke up to aching shoulders, chest muscles, and back muscles  I did some :bodyb: yesterday evening and that long very hot walk is all...Dh says its the prolactin terrorizing my muscles groups and to expect to get sore sooner and prob for longer durations..:sadangel:

Babes must be sleeping right now :shhh: Wait! Nope, I feel a wiggle :haha: That's what I get for thinking, right? She seems to stay low, Ia lways feel her movements super low areound the pelvic area, so think she must be in a fairly upright postion and I am feeling her feet and legs?

Hm, well, I discovered granola bars can be evil :nope: I skipped my usual oat cereal or steamed egg this morning and had a granola bar instead. Within an half hour my glucose spiked to about 108-110 then in another half hour plummeted to like 59! So they suck, and I hate them. :haha: I will stick to my simple carbs and proteins. I have since eaten eggs and am starting to feel better.

Sorry baby girl (Augusta Alexandria), I will try not to rock your boat again! :haha:

Some Dr's measure progesterone as a prediction of ovulation. I guess if you don't ovulate your body won't produce progesterone as it is produced by the corpus luteum which is the remnant of the follicle after it releases the egg. They say that it should be above 5 to show that you ovulated and optimally above 15 to sustain a pregnancy (at least at 7DPO). Conversely you can do an ultrasound to see if you can find the corpus luteum. Both will tell you if you ovulated. Or you can do use the OPK's and temping :) I am fairly sure that I ovulated, I merely want to get a reading on my progesterone to see if I need to use supplements or not. My p4 was already 3 on the day I ovulated, so we know that it should be at least that!! :haha:

OMG it is HOT out today! I just finished adding soil and fertlilzer to the perennial garden, and then mulch on top. It looks really good :) I'm sweating bullets though!!

My Mom is so cute she keeps asking me if I've peed on a stick yet. I'm like it is too soon, but she was all confused since I was peeing on a stick a week ago. I had to explain to her that there were 2 kinds of sticks the ovulation and the pregnancy tests. :haha: Sometimes I think she is as anxious or more so that I am for this to be a success!

Ali, that is so funny about your mom! LOL! She is excited for you I think! :hugs: That's awesome that you get along with your parents (at least mom!) mine are a bit odd...mom didn't like having a second daughter/third child (me ) and let me know it regularly. Plus trying to get my dh to divorce me and marry my sister (he IS handsome :smug) lol, didn't help family matters  So she tries to communicate and I block every effort I can! :haha: Peaceful that way, but I have to admit I am jealous of the aweosme mom/daughter relationships I hear about! I try to be that to my girls :)

I ams o excited for you, the tww is a drag but exciting also - try not to over heat too much! And the garden sounds awesome, I have a teeny little garden patch I planted, I just threw it all together for the girls first experience of watching growth. Onions, flowers, you name it....Stupid Boston Terrier "Rocky" keeps getting in there though! :growlmad:

Evening ladies, I hope you're all well. Not much to report here, 6DPO and had a temp dip this morning. Too early for implantation? So not holding out much hope this month. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Coy, Ali, great to see you both as chatty as always. I love catching
up :coffee:.

Ali, so cool you can share this journey with your mum. Like Coy I'm jealous of those types or relationships. My mum and I are a bit closer now but it's still quite a formal mum-daughter relationship, no problem sharing and deep secrets or support :nope:

Where is everybody else?

xoxox

:hi:Hi Kelly!!
My name is Jess. I am 40 and have been TTC for a while now. I think I am too focused on the gym and not focused enough on TTC!!...:nope: No, not really...just frustrated that I can not seem to remember to take my temps!!

I wish you lots of baby dust and sticky stuff!! ...and prayers too...:hugs:

I JUST sent you a message and mentioned my temping issues! :haha: With me it doesn't matter what time I wake up, I just don't think about it. But darn it! I'm going to remember tomorrow!! ...I hope! :haha:

Hi Kelly, I see you're in the UK. If you have a good GP there's no harm in going and seeing if they will do any basic tests during your cycle to check if you are ovulating and your hormone levels are normal throughout your cycle, although I suspect they may refer you to gynae which could take a number of weeks. They should also perform a scan which will check if everything looks normal etc.

Do you get positive OPKs and are your cycles a normal type length?

I set my alarm to get my BBT, it is a woeful habit to get into to remember to take it but once you get there it really does help. If you can't get the temps every day chart other information such as your CM, cervix position etc as that will also help.

I'm Glenda, 38 on Tuesday and currently TTC no2. I have had a few MCs (5) with my DS inbetween but am persevering for no.2. This is my first cycle ttc after the latest loss. I'm waiting on getting tests done since easter but this won't happen until at least September with the good old NHS waiting list here in NI.
