I have a cell phone with an alarm on it that sends me notes :haha: That way if I forget the alarm reminds me on time....

think im guna like this thread so is there a best time to go to docs as in timing of my cycle i always get plus opks usually around day 11 and cycles are between 26 to 28 days.
i found that when i got a bit obsessed bout ttc oh felt too under pressure and his man thing would not come out to play lol i used to get so jealous of the ladies that talked about there oh s stonkers lol

Kelly the docs are supposed to be more proactive when your over 35 & have not conceived for 6 months. When I was having all the problems trying for my first the doctor referred me to the reproductive endocrinologists at the centre for life in Newcastle. Its specialised so they know exactly which tests to do, more so than a GP.

I noticed your in Northumberland is there any chance you could ask for a referral there through your doctors.:winkwink:

Today was a beautiful day in arizona. We got some much needed rain and it was so much more bearable here. Being from Canada I don't handle the heat well. I actually was outside all night...bbqing at a friends and swimming. It was great!
I had more bloodwork and ultrasound this morning and things are looking really good. The other day they could barely even see my ovaries, never mind any follicles in them but today there were at least 15-20! They are still pretty small...8-10mm but they are there! My left ovary was hiding and boy was it painful when they were moving that thing all around "in my business" trying to get a peak. They raised my Meds again and I go back on Monday. We are looking at doing egg retrieval later in the week :)
Fingers crossed they all goes well.

PS-wowsers my ovaries are hurting...they feel so heavy. Ouch!

Glad those ovaries are getting the idea now....come on follicles grow, grow:flower:

Fingers crossed for a big harvest later in the week...:haha:

I eventually managed to get an appointment to see my doctor for tomorrow after harrassing the life out of them on friday. So worried but praying this little bean is a sticky one.

15-20 follicles is fantastic, esp this early in the game! Let's hope that those eggs mature! I froze my eggs last year when I was single (which is the same procedure as IVF except for the fertilizing and putting the embryos back in). I ended up getting 18 eggs, but they didn't see that many follicles until a couple days before retrieval.

A normal amount of pain is good; it means the ovaries are enlarging as all those eggs mature!

Thoughts and prayers are with you Claire

I initially went to the docs as we had been trying for over a year without any luck & my cycle was far from regular..I was lucky to have an understanding doc at the time who referred me without hesitation, I think there was about a 3 month wait for an appt. This was in my twenties so due to the fact they are supposed to act quicker in the 35+ bracket i`d say you`de have a good shot at getting referred.
It was by no means a quick solution for me I was diagnosed with PCOS & insulin resistance , still took me 8 years to eventually have my son due to alot of issues but at least they were very proactive once your in the system and have access to all the latest information and tests.

You don`t know unless you ask:winkwink:

true im such a sap sometimes and shy away from things like this im guna man up grrrrrrrrrrr lol and ring the docs tomoz

Lol....you go girl. You just have to keep in your head what you want to achieve & don't let them fob you off......be determined:haha: Good luck

at the very least it will give you a boost to feel like your moving forwards

Hi ladies! What a day today, I am working on my Final Assignments for the end of my criminology course...Ugh! :haha: I will be glad to be done.
Good to catch up on all your posts!

Claire- no worries! I am so happy you got your bfp! Can't wait for your first doctor's appointment! Do you have it scheduled yet or did I miss that in one of the posts?

Kelly- it does help to develop a tough skin and just sort of bully your way around with doctors...Most of them over schedule themselves to make money and then don't want to keep up with the demand  I always get bossy and pushy with mine

FirstTry, Angel, Gncope - :hi: Great to read your posts!

Jess- hope you are having a good weekend! Try to rest some...

Ali- 3 dpo? 4dpo? Hmmm.....I want to symptom sot! :hah: I'm gonna run and check out your chart-hang on...Oooo, nice temp spike! Last month at 4 dpo you were at 97.7 or thereabouts- now at 4 dpo you are sitting at a very pretty almost 98.8! Makes me wonder!! lol...Got my fx'd and my toes x'd for you!

Shannon (GeorgiaBelle)- where are you?

Phil- where are you? Haven't heard form you...

Been to see my GP who totally gets from my history why i`m so terrified about this pregnancy. She has done a referral letter to obstetrics at the hospital, while I was there, as i`m high risk so that I can get an appt for early assessment. So fingers crossed I will get a scan in the next couple of weeks to check out whats going on with this little bean.

She didn`t want to do any bloods or anything just wants me booked at the hospital ASAP.
