Wow thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. I wish I had time to message you all personally :) yesterday was ER and i think it went pretty good, although I really don't have much info. I am waiting for the call. They didn't end up going through belly/abdomen, just vaginally and so I don't know if they were able to get to my left ovary or not. I kept bugging the nurses to tell me how many follicles and one finally said she thinks maybe 13 but didn't remember and they really couldn't say. 13 seems very few to me compared to the 20-30 I saw during every ultrasound. Maybe they felt that was enough and didn't do the left ovary. I have no idea. I am still pretty sore today...thank goodness for percocet. It is definitely a different kind of soreness than the horrible pain I was in before so I am hoping it subsides very soon. It is very tender. The RE told me that they may my ET on Saturday and do a FET next month depending on how the embryos look. I have very mixed feelings about this...one I am a little concerned with ohss, considering the pain I was in before. They are keeping a close eye on it. Part of me feels like let's get this done, I have come this far and the other part of me feels like a break would be nice. I completely trust that my RE will make the best decision for me. Just waiting for the call regarding retrieval and anxious to know if I start progesterone shots, cream, estrogen patches etc today. I also have my scrapbook retreat starting today so the sooner I know the better.
Have a good day ladies!

it really doesnt seem fair that us ladies have to go through such hardships to get our dreams xx

hope you are all ok afm im a bloody nitemare im trying to plan but now im worried bout chemical i hadnt even heard of that sometimes i think research is bad, i joined the new docs today and the new system is you have to ring at 8 in the morning to get appointments funny set up but thats the next step. so whos in the two week wait

Hello Everyone! :hi:

Jess - good work on your temps, it is hard to remember at first but then you get used to it and actually look forward to seeing what your temp is doing. Its almost as exciting as POAS! Don't worry about minor temp changes, it looks good and I think by tomorrow you'll see the O day and your coverline. FF makes you wait 3 days I believe.

Coy - sounds like you really are between a rock and a hard place. I guess you just keep testing at home and make sure you aren't seeing any spikes or valleys. Key to doing that is not to eat anything high on the glycemic index, and to eat something every few hours. While I don't have diabetes, I try to eat as if I did, so that I don't get it.. :haha: I'm sure if you still see fluxuations, you will insist on the GD test, you are like me and will not take NO for an anwer!!

gncope - I'm not familiar with all of the things you are doing, as I have never don IVF, but it sounds promising! Best of luck and please try to keep us updated on your progress

tiatammy - does your insurance not cover your HSG (I think that is what it is called), mine was covered as it is not considered a fertility treatment but fertility testing. I'm not sure where you live, but it may end up being covered. Also, it is a good thing to do, as you'll know if you have any blockages, and even if you don't they can 'clear the cobwebs' so to speak and make it easier for the :spermy: to swim and the fertilized egg to float down to the uterus. and GL!

AFM - I'm doing OK. I thought I would be bad last night and drink some wine and have a little pity party, but I just wasn't feeling too down. I think because I have a plan for August, and it is way better than July's!! Only issue is that I need my period to come ASAP! I guess I could always stay one more week in Canada, that is an option too. I think that I will do that if my period doesn't come by tomorrow. I mean what is more important? Me getting pregnant or my boss missing me in the office for one more week (I am working remotely so its not like I'm unavailable to work). Plus the weather is so nice up here! :haha: OK that settles it! If I don't get my period in time, I'm staying another week! YAY! :haha: My temp did drop a lot this morning, and I bet it will drop some more tomorrow and AF :witch: will arrive tomorrow. Seems to like to come on schedule, and that is right on schedule!

Kelly! Have you had your hCG levels tested? I they often do that with women here in the States/Canada. You go in for 2-3 tests in a week, every other day to see that your hCG is rising. Then you'll know that you don't have a chemical pregnancy. I don't know much about them, but my guess is that you don't have one, as I think you would have had your period by now if it was a chemical. Try to relax, and think good thoughts, and be happy!! I'm sure it is difficult because of your previous MC. Just take each day at a time, and stay positive!!

It is pretty nice up here, except when the animals attack! :haha: So far I've been attacked by raccoon, beavers and a bear! The bear was on our back porch, it grabbed our recycle bin and took off with it. It was pretty funny, but also a little scary thinking that there was a 6ft tall bear that close. I'm afraid to let the doggies out at night. They might become bear dinner!

You're original question about baby aspirin, the only thing I know about it is that it's good to have on hand if someone is having a stroke. Other than that, I don't know! I have heard rumblings of others using it as a fertility aid, but I know nothing about the reasoning behind it.

You peaked my curiosity so I looked it up, and here is what I found:

Why take baby aspirin?
Well, I believe it does suppress natural killer cells in the uterus, so it is used for those with immune problems. It has other effects on the immune system that I don't fully understand - I will try to find out more. But, it also improves blood flow to the ovaries, improving follicle development, and improves blood flow to the uterus, improving the quality of the uterine lining. This increases the odds that implantation will be successful. Also, during pregnancy, it will help to prevent mc or fetal demise in those prone to blood clots. Having blood clots form in the placenta and/or umbilical cord in the cause of many of these pg losses.

There's a great article in People magazine (the one with Di on the cover) about a women who had failed many IVF, presumably due to a weak uterine lining. Her sister agreed to be a surrogate but they also decided to give both women a few embryos. They both got pregnant. They said they don't know why this worked when all other attempts had failed but they think it was due to her starting to take baby aspirin 2 weeks before the transfer.

A good friend of mine just got pregnant after 10+ years of infertility (PCOS). It was a complete surprise. They were even using condoms!! But, they only thing different she did was she started taking daily aspirin for an unrelated reason several weeks before conception!

Me too! I mean why not? I have heard that taking baby aspirin on a daily basis isn't a bad thing anyway.

Hi ladies, been away licking my wounds for a few days , mega hormonal at the moment and just putting it down to one of those AFs :growlmad:. Crying at everything FFS:haha:.

Kelly.... low dose aspirin is recommended for a lot of women who have had MCs. I have been told to take it if I get a BFP again. I was going to last time but for some reason I did research and sat on the fence about it. I have heard loads of great reports about it and know many a lady who has suffered RMCs to go on and have their rainbow babies. Whether it was down to the LDA or not is the current debate. The very latest research is saying it does nothing (its on the recurrent miscarriage thread on here in the past few days) but I am definitely going to try it if I'm blessed with another BFP.

It's acts as a blood thinner as a common reason, aside from chromosomal problems, for MCs is the sticky blood syndrome, known as Antiphospholipid or Hughes syndrome. Docs suspect i have it as I lose all my angels at 8-10 weeks after strong heart beats and healthy sacs etc are observed. I'm currently being tested. It basically means the blood becomes thick/clots so does not allow for oxygen and essential nutrients to reach the baby enabling it to grow .

Although I do agree with Ali, STAY POSITIVE :flower: I know it can be very difficult after a loss, I've been there too many times now so know how you feel. Keep pestering those doctors to get the support you need. Have you tried meditating? Or if you're not into that, just listening to calming relaxing music and have some quiet time, it can really help and just keep looking forward.:hugs:

Ali.... :hugs::hugs: hugs chick, looks like Alin, you and me again next cycle eh? Glad you have a plan of action though! :winkwink: I'm not going to do anything different this cycle except fit a bit more nooky in and try to switch off from the whole TTC business (easier said than done lol ).

Coy.... love reading your daily updates and all the bizz about your family and neighbours xo

Jess... Yeah to remembering to take the temps, go girl! Fingers crossed for you.

Alin, Terri, GNCope, twotogo and everybody else :hi:

AFM... feeliing really low but I'll pick up again in a couple of days. I think it's just a combination of no BFP, hormonal AF, work, still getting over my MCs this year and some issues at home. DH is down to a 3 day week and I'm SO FED UP WITH THIS WEATHER in the UK!

We've started looking at emigrating to Canada....

After reading the other LDA comment I think I may take it from now. Although conflicting evidence I read says it can interfer with implantation, has anybody heard this?

Oh it's all so damn confusing lol!!!!!!

Sorry, back again, found this so it makes more sense now. Other information I heard about interfering with implantation must be rubbish...

Why do I take the low-dose Aspirin (ASA, Asaphen) and for how long?
Low-dose Aspirin is 81 mg of ASA (common brand name is Asaphen). The current evidence suggests that it improves endometrial blood flow so that a better endometrial lining develops. The low-dose Aspirin is taken once daily starting with down-regulation depending upon the protocol. It does not matter what time of day it is taken and can be taken with food. Continue taking the low-dose aspirin until the pregnancy test, which confirms whether implantation has taken place. For most people, regardless of the outcome of the test, you may stop taking the low-dose Aspirin at this time. In some situations, your physician may recommend continuing the low-dose Aspirin through pregnancy.

I hear you Angel, I'm trying to stay positive myself, and for some reason I wasn't too upset when I heard my BETA was negative. My Mom was more upset than I was.. LOL! I know she really wants a grandbaby.

I wanted to say.. do it! Come to Canada, it is awesome! I have been thinking about moving back.

I may be picking your brains shortly Ali if you dont mind!

Hugs to your mum, poor pet, I hope she's giving you TLC though lol xoxo

Here is my update: retrieved 13 eggs, 12 from right ovary and 1 from left. It was so hard to get to left and there were happy with the ones they had so they didn't push it. They did not go through abdomen like they thought they would have. Out of the 13 , 11 matured. 9 are 2 cell (which is where they should be a of today). 1 is further then 2 cell (my over-achiever), and one other was able to be fertilized and is now a 2 cell as well. I am excited.
They scheduled my transfer for this coming Saturday so in the meantime I start the progesterone shots, cream, estrogen patches, and tablets that make me so so nauseous. I won't know until Saturday when I am there if they are going to do transfer or not. They will check my levels and decide from there. They may freeze them all and do FET next month or if things look good, they will transfer some and freeze the rest. I am concerned of ohss as I have already been suffering for weeks and am very bloated and sore now. So far there really hasn't been a build up of fluid. They want me to be sure that I am drinking a ton of water and getting a lot of sodium. I just went over 8 hours with no pain Meds...very bad idea for me. I overdid it and forget to take Meds and am suffering dearly for it. Thank goodness DH will be home soon.
I am very happy with my report and really appreciate your support.

Sorry to those you are now onto next month. Hang in there. Fingers crossed for you.

wtf ali bears i get scared when i see a bat here lol

angel its so calming when you talk bout mc as you really do make me feel calmer.
ok am i being dim about asprin should i take it now or not

Ali- your bear tales make me laugh! :haha: Reminds me of when I lived in rural Alaska. Crazy bears! :haha: I had one charge me and had to, um, send him to happier hunting grounds (sorry ladies) but he had it coming! I don't like being stalked for weeks by one crazy bear- they said they thought he had something wrong to act that way. Hmm. Buts tealing garbage cans sounds totally normal  And oyu got attacked by a racoon?:saywhat: Crazy! lol
