Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

Hello Ladies

Well this isn't going to be our miracle baby  sonogram showed that this isn't a viable pregnancy. Dh and I are very sad since we know it is our last chance conceiving naturally since I will be 42 soon :(
I have a blood clot in my uterus under the gestastional sac. The sono tech also found 2 cm fibroid which they didnt see last time but she said the pregnancy hormones could have made it grow over the last several weeks. She said it's not the same kind of fibroid as I had 3 years ago with last miscarriage. That one was protruding into the uterus while this one is not.

I will be going to OBGYN on Monday and we will discuss further if a d &c needs to be done. I really was praying that I would never have to go through another miscarriage.

So sorry, my heart goes out to you and your DH.
phil.

Wait Chantal. Please say it aint so! Did the doctor tell you that the baby is not growing? That the fibroid will interfere with the pregnancy? Or the blood clot cant be resolved? I have to have faith this will work.:flower:

Alicatt. Sounds ike you have alot planned.

Coy. I agree keep giving her breast milk until spring has sprung. You make me laugh also. I really cant slow down! Apple pie. Yum :happydance::happydance: can I havesome?

I got home and took a nap. It's my new thing. Freshology arrived and Instart sunday. Perfect for contoling my sugar levels.:thumbup:

Hi Ladies,
it's been a crazy day here. I've got fingers crossed for some of you, hopes and dreams for the rest of you....

afm, I had visitors most of the day but managed to whip up these treats for my bookclub ladies tonight! They are called Bailey's Irish Cream Cheese Trifles and I have to admit they are a little on the boozy side! It's layers of chocolate brownie and a cream cheese/Bailey's mix.... very yummy.
will check in after book club.....
hope you are all well.... or at least well enough for now....:hugs::hugs:

Chantal.. OMG I'm so sorry to hear your news. Are you sure it's not viable? Sams has some good questions. I would wait and see what happens, is your HCG still rising? Is it still growing even with the clot and the fibroid? Can you get the clotting blood tests done?

Sams.. yay for the weekend and your freshology! Relax, enjoy and let us know if you :test:

Coy.. I hear you, it's easier said than done, eating healthy is hard. All the bad food smells and tastes so good! MMMMM... I'm with Sam.. keep Aeryn on the boob as long as you can.. the longer the better for her and for your pocketbook! Her immune system will be stronger.

Phil.. mmmm can I have one? Please?

AFM.. got my furniture, gardening needs, and ate dinner now I'm baking GF cookies for a treat! I'm beat.. going to have a cookie and crawl into bed with a new book! Coy.. I just got a table for the entryway and a chest/cabinet to put in the kitchen for the doggies food, treats and other things.

The doctor said it is definately not a viable pregnancy. I still have very sore swollen breasts, headache and nausea. Still no cramping or bleeding but I took my last progesterone this morning so could be a while before my body decides it's time for miscarriage. I am going to the OBGYN on Monday. Hopefully she will run some autoimmune test to see if my body is doing this.

Have a good weekend ladies. I need to get some sleep :hugs:

Sleep well.. Definitely request the autoimmune and clotting factor tests, and if possible, get them done while you are still pregnant so that it will register and clotting factors that only show up while you are pregnant.

Chantal- I agree with Sams, seek all the answers that you can. Huge :hugs: to you!

Hello ladies

Wishing you all wonderful weekend

I am cleaning the house. It is good therapy. Dh wouldn't let me clean since I got back from Barbados so it feels good to get everything clean again.

Good morning ladies! :flower:

So sorry  but yes I agree cleaning is great therapy! I cleaned out the spare bath and my main linen closet this morning. Not on my todo list, but I was trying to find something and well.. realized there was a bunch of crap in there that needed to GO!

Off to do some laundry, get my new furniture organized and prepare for painting Monday! oh and get my corned beef in the crock pot!

I have loved my crock pot this whole week. Made easy meals like chicken cacciatore and lamb stew.

Dh is at his brother's house helping him move furniture for painting too. I told him to be careful cuz the night before we left for Barbados he sprained his ankle helping him carrying wood into his basement and missed the last several steps. His ankle swelled up bigger than a golf ball. So though I didn't have :af: during our trip he could not do much swimming or walking along the beach because of his ankle.

Ladeeez:hi:

Hm, re:cleaning. Well I have noiced if I am stressing out or having to stay up at night monitoring everyone's temps I have a tendancy to clean--I found myself scrubbing the toilet at 2 a.m.! :saywhat: crazy me.

My new shoes came today- I got $80.00 heels for $19.00 :smug: and they are comfy enough to wear w/jeans  but dressy too for skirts, etc. Today I am lazy:haha: I cheated and just bought cupcakes for st paddy's so I don't have to bake  lol I'll make up for it on Easter

Oh- did I mention dh had to go see his doc yesterday...well the fill-in doctor anyway. He seriosly did NOT want to go in and grumbled the entire time. BUT doc wanted to admit him to hospital right away it is that serious :argh: They decided on a middle ground and put him on 2 combined extremely powerful antibiotics. But they told him if he gets a fever AT ALL OF ANY KIND he has to come in...and if he's not significantly better by Tuesday they will make him admit :nope: Scary crap!

OH! And on a brighter note...I was out yesterday getting wood. We had wood delivered last fall remember and they brought it in these huge wooden crates. Well I got to looking and the crates are 4 X 8 feet and almost 4 feet high. Sooo my brain starts working and I start adding up wood planks and stuff and we have enough wood and significant already built peices that IO am going to build the dd's a play house :happydance: It's gonna be fun. The only thing I'll have to buy is cheap plyboard to cover the walls, etc, but the floor joisting is there and the frame for the house  Easy as pie (I used to build houses for a living :haha: ) Anyway then I'll let them paint it, etc. Put huge windows with curtains, stuff like that. Fun.

Great deal!! Glad they are comfortable too

I find I clean other things instead of doing the work I actually need to do! Like cleaning out the spare bathroom and the linen closet, when I have a mountain of things to put away downstairs, and clothes to put away, and laundry to do and cooking to do (not to mention the gardening I was supposed to be doing)! I have decided the gardening will be done tomorrow morning when it is cool. Yep. I just hope I make it out of bed tomorrow morning. :haha:

By the way- after emptying out an entire crate of wood my rib is no better :growlmad: lol

Ali- sounds like you need to rest girl! Rest is when you just relax and take it easy (case ya didn't know  lol) anyway don't worry about getting out of bed tomorrow! Just laze in...but have your green on cuz ya never know 8-[ lol

HEHE.. well when you stay in bed past noon then I'll do it too! Betcha can't do it! Instead I'm now procrastinating and reading FB. There are an awful lot of cute dachshunds on the I <3 Dachshunds page! That is all I need, a third dachshund! There is a dachshund that had puppies last weekend and all are adoptable via Dachshund Rescue South Florida. I keep checking them out. OMG, I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER DOG! :nope: I will be good and not get one, but OMG they are so very cute! :dohh:

Chantal, I am so sorry :hugs::hugs:. Even though it isnt going to be viable due to the fibroid and clot do you mind if I ask if they found a heartbeat? The reason I ask is if there was one or evidence that the fetus was growing before this affected things that could be one hurdle overcome and unfortunately life has been **** and delivered you this blow :hugs:.

I cant strongly echo Ali's advice enough, get blood tests done now while you are pregnant as it may help identify something. If you do have to go for an EPRC also see if it is possible to get the 'products of conception' (I hate that term:growlmad:) analysed. The clot may be a one-off thing but if clots are found in the sac etc it may point to a clotting issue.

My heart is breaking for you Chantal, I had such high hopes for you and you have remained so positive, that's a really big thing to achieve. I wish I was as strong .

Get the tests done and take the doctors advice next week and go from there. How will they treat the fibroid? Give yourselves time as well to figure out your next steps, and remember that you have conceived and it can be done again, and just after a pregnancy you are super fertile xoxo
