AFM- um...not sure yet So far kinda crappy start of a day. Hoping it gets better.

It snowed significantly last night Means I have to dig for wood I feel a potential rant but am resisting it! lol

Got a positive opk today....

UGH.. stupid snow! Doesn't it know it needs to fall everywhere but on the path to the firewood and the firewood? We used to put a tarp on our firewood to help keep it try and snowless. Is that a word?

Ali you are right he probably was sick when we brought him home. We only just got him and his mate on Easter weekend. They are clown loaches and so amusing. Usually his mate "dances" all over the tank, now he is laying next to his mate looking pitiful Dh said that the fish store is in a shady area. Quite a drive from where we live. He said the staff are probably used to people pulling fast ones on them. Dh always sees the best in people and quick to forgive. I wish I was more like him!

So the last year of the snake was 2001..9/11
Now another act of terrorism in Boston
I hope this year doesn't bring anything else bad. There are 8 more months to go!

Yes, I use tarps also to keep the wood dry....I have 1 day of wood left that is covered and will fir in our log splitter. To the best of my knowledge the rest of the wood is too long to fit it so I will be swinging either the sledge hammer, the axe, or both My rib feels a bit better, still a bit hinkey when I am working out with weights but not bad. The stupid snow doesn't know to blow just in my neighbors yard That'd be freaking AWESOME

Today I start a new course - Mental Health and Crisis Intervention. Yay. lol! And today Teagen has to do her Scantron testing online--big long adaptive test she does all on her own. She usually does really well

Sounds like an interesting course. I hope T does well!!

Hopefully it stops snowing so you can find the woodpile! Then you won't have to worry.. but yes.. having it blow into your neighbors yard would be optimal.

Wood has arrived, and Zach is doing really well. I can go pick him up at 4, but I don't get off work until 5? Should I ask to go early? IDK. I think probably not since I'll be at home all next week (with the install).

I feel a headache coming on.. Maybe I should go get Zach? HMM.

Now its the waiting part...I am usually really good and calm the first week of the 2ww, the second half im really nervous calling everything a sign. Ive told myself I am gonna stay calm the entire time. My mom told me that I need to be saying this mantra every morning and night...I am young. i am healthy. I am fertile. I have been.

Sounds like good timing alright! I was told by my acupuncturist to envision the egg being released, traveling through the tube, getting fertilized and implanting, and then the follicle going back in. Whatever works right?

Coy, you have had some Winter! I hope you find the firewood without too much trouble. I'm sure T will ace her test as Mom did for the gov't job!

Ali, very exciting that your floors have been delivered, you're going to feel so great when they are done. How are the headaches? Pups?

Chantal, I envy you...I want any kind of pet but dh says no...so we have settled for the raccoon that lives in the tree behind us. He has this little perch and as the sun sets he comes out to chill and wait for us to put out our garbage. We talk to him from the backyard and he just stares at us, and I'm sure he's thinking, "yeah yeah yeah stupid humans, put out your friggin garbage already so I can eat!"

Afm, beta #2 is tomorrow and I can't lie I'm nervous. I just wish I was getting my scan, hearing a heartbeat and past the white-knuckle part. When should I expect a u/s or scan and heartbeat? Work was weird, some people acting like they won by getting the trader forced out. It's just disgusting, this is someone's life that they have no care for how they negatively impact as long as they get their way. It's gross. I'm trying not to stress, but I have been getting up every night at 3am to pee and having trouble getting back to sleep. My mind just goes around and around about work, is this pregnancy viable, what happened in Boston, is NYC next again? I work for a firm that was the hardest hit on 9/11 so it's always in the back of our minds. I worry that my trader will go back to drinking as he's had 25+yrs sober, or that he will resent me since he was let go and I am still there. He knows I had no clue. I have already started to talk to a few people for him, he was always fair to be and had my back...not many like that left in my business.

So if my beta was 159 on Monday what should I hope it is tomorrow? 300?

Also, can I give blood while prego? I was thinking of donating blood in light of what happened yesterday especially since I am B- and it's so rare.

Babywhisperer- Nope, I don't think they will l;et you give blood while you are preggo--I wanted to do the same thing and they told me no because you need the blood for babes. This is why your body starts to produce extra--because babes needs it So keep your blood, maybe you can do other things? Not sure what they have set up yet in way of donating

And you'll be past the "white knuckle" part before you know it! On to second tri then you can relax

AFM- phew, what a day...got through Teagen's testing- Yay! And she has been promtoted in Math, Science, Language arts, and....something else my foggy brain can't remember. Got the tires on my car checked and ready, spare and donut pumped and placed in the trunk, jack in the trunk, just gotta do oil and gas.

Go T! Smart just like her mama.

I will have to look into what else I can do besides donate blood. Dh is going to do it, he donates every few months.

Have I told you ladies recently how much I adore all of you?? Seriously, you are my sanity! My entertainment And I don't know what I'd do without you!

no blood donation, I actually heard they were ok for blood anyway. Not that it isn't good to give, but I don't think Boston needs it after yesterday. But as Coy said, you need all your blood to keep the bean alive!

So second beta! YAY! Exciting!!! BETA should double or more so hopefully better that 318. If it's a little shy of that then they may ask for another BETA on Friday. They may do that either way. I think
mine does 3 no matter what. Next will be US to make sure it is where it should be, I think they can do the US in week 5 to find the sac. Then in week 6-7 the fetal pole emerges then closer to 7 weeks the heartbeat can be heard. I think it all depends on your FS as to when they do the US's and extra BETA's. Maybe you can ask when you go in tomorrow?

AFM.. very sleepy and groggy doggie in
my lap today. He is just zonked after his dental cleaning. They put them out for it and so he's still :sleepy:
My skin hurts so much, I am not sure I can go to work tomorrow! Putting a bra on is so painful
Plus AF cramps and spotting has started, right on time it's day 30 and she usually comes between day 28 and 32.
BLAH! So I'm thinking of working from home tomorrow. Thing is that I'll be home all next week with my floors. So I really should go in tomorrow. I guess we'll see how it feels in the morning

I think I'll go watch my leafs from bed! They are losing right now, they could clinch a playoff berth if they could win tonight but I don't think it's going to happen

Trader had a difference of opinion with our sales mgr and it was politics. People felt he favored me and they blamed their crappy performance on that. Silly men, in their 50s and 60s no less!!!

Ok I am freaking out about my beta. I don't feel prego! I am worried the number won't be good tomorrow. I am so very nervous.

Don't worry about your BETA.. que sera, sera.. I know that it is easier said than done, but try to relax, I'm sure it will be fine!
I don't think that symptoms show up until 6 weeks? At least that is what I've heard? : shrug:

Babywhisperer your beta number will have doubled tomorrow You are being closely monitored by your FS so don't worry so much! With the pregnancy I had 3 years ago (where they saw a fetal pole) I was only feeling tired at 5 weeks and waking up twice during the night to pee was probably contributing to that. (I normally sleep right through the night without getting up to go to the bathroom). Other than that I didn't feel preggo either and kept doing tests to see the line getting darker till it was actually darker than the test line! It was the same this time for me. Everyone is different, ask Coy I don't think she had nausea till week 6-7 weeks.

I just called in to the FS office but all the nurses were busy so they have to call me back. In a normal cycle I would start vivelle dot (estrogen patches) on CD2 (tomorrow), but I'm on Lupron so that stalls everything out so we can wait until we get the results. As soon as we get those we'll either be doing my FET or another trial (hoping and praying that its the FET, if we have to do another trial it means there is something wrong with my uterus ). I would assume that I'll get the call from the FS about my results sometime next week. Not sure how I am going to get down to see them AND be here supervising my hardwood floor install Here is hoping that it all works out and we start the day my Mom comes down next week Or maybe they finish the flooring really fast (but properly) and I can go down for my baseline.

My burn is still just as sore as Monday if not worse is that possible? I am working from home today because I just couldn't bear to put on a bra. So that on top of the nice headache I have and menstrual cramps. It is a good thing I'm here. I'm going to have to cancel my bi-weekly massage tomorrow, there is no way anyone is going to be massaging my back or shoulders right now The good news is that my arms and some areas are improving, its the tender areas on the top of the BB's and the area where the bra strap goes down to connect at the back. That is why a bra is just not going to happen. No more sun for me. Not until I figure out what the heck is going on with my skin. I think it is a combination of 1) Lupron 2) expired/non-waterproof sunscreen 3) not strong enough sunscreen (it was 45).

Yes Ali it is possible that your sunburn got worse. Ultraviolet radiation damages DNA in the skin which produce proteins and enzymes. The effects of these proteins, makes the blood vessels dilate (causing the redness, swelling and pain). It takes 6 hours for the proteins to do this. Thats why your sunburn is worse today. You were in a pool so yes you needed to use waterproof. Next time remember to re-apply the sunscreen! Naughty Ali lol
I wear 100 spf on my face and 35 on my body but I don't have sensitive skin like yours. I tan pretty easily.
