Yes Ali it is possible that your sunburn got worse. Ultraviolet radiation damages DNA in the skin which produce proteins and enzymes. The effects of these proteins, makes the blood vessels dilate (causing the redness, swelling and pain). It takes 6 hours for the proteins to do this. Thats why your sunburn is worse today. You were in a pool so yes you needed to use waterproof. Next time remember to re-apply the sunscreen! Naughty Ali lol
I wear 100 spf on my face and 35 on my body but I don't have sensitive skin like yours. I tan pretty easily.
I wore 75 on my face and 45 on my body (both Neutrogena). I like their sun screen because I feel like I'm not wearing any. Maybe that was the problem? It does state that it is water resistant up to 80 minutes. I was re-applying way more often than that. I was only out in the sun from 1-4 and applied the sunscreen 3-4 times! HELLO! That should be plenty Here is a link to the sunscreen: https://www.neutrogena.com/product/...reen+broad+spectrum+spf+45.do?sortby=ourPicks
I really think that me taking Lupron and higher than normal doses.. that is what made this worse. I'm thinking about calling my GP to see if I can get a creme or something that will help it heal better. I swear this is the worst burn I've had since I was a little girl and my parents took me to Barbados.
