Hi everyone. Im new to this and not too sure what im meant to do or where to write! Im sam and im 37, am i to tell my story?xx

Hello Spammy,

Welcome!!! You can just tell your story to start. We are all her for support and encouragement.

Hello Ladies,

We lost our baby boy on 12/12/13 at 14wks and had a D&E on 12/18/13. We were so devastated. We would like to start again DH more than me. I guess I am scared but I am leaving it in God's hands and letting my body do what's best. Any suggestions ladies?

Thanks

The miscarriage has been 3 weeks now. I had the D&E two weeks ago. I am trying to think positive and keep the faith. I had my tubes tied after my last baby who is 12 years old now. In 2012 I had a tubal reversal because me and my husband wanted to have another baby so this pregnancy was the first pregnancy after the reversal. I also had a myomectomy when my tubes were untied. I had 3 large fibroids romoved. I also know they say age plays apart because I am over 35. I just hope it works out we really love raising our children and would love to start over again. Your words of encourage really help, thanks!!

Hello ladies, I have just joined this site and wanted to be able to share experiences, symptoms etc. Sometimes I feel a bit lonely in going through this, hubby is great but I'd like to hear from other women as I know you will all empathise with cramping, spotting etc! TTC since January now and just coming to the end of my second clomid cycle. No luck so far :-( would love to hear from you and how you are all getting on!

Brighteyez- So sorry.. What happened? Don't lose faith!
It will happen

Babywhisperer- Been thinking of you. I had my 4th IVF. It was the worst cycle. I only produced 2 eggs.. One made it. I did it with Dr. S... but I got a positive Beta today! 300... I'm crossing all my fingers. Thank you!

Samsfan: I didn't know if this thread was still going. I haven't heard or seen updates from anyone in a long time. I was wondering what happened to Ali and the others?

Anyhow, Congratulations! That is great news. I'm keeping my fingers cross that this is a sticky bean for you!!

I, too, had an IVF cycle recently and transferred on 4/21, and am also pregnant. So far, everything is looking good! Perhaps this is the lucky month. :)

Melly--- So exciting!!! Where did you do your ivf? I transferred on 4/22.... What is your beta?
I still keep in touch with Ali.. She is probably cycling in August. I also keep in touch with Chantal and Coy.
I don't know why this page went cold. I have a blood test tomorrow, and I'm praying for a double.

How are you progressing?:flower:

Hi Samsfan, I'm glad to hear this news. Everyone is doing well, which is great. My beta count on Monday was 4,410. I did my IVF at RMA of Texas. I responded really well to IVF and we also opted to do CCS testing, which parsed out the chromosomal abnormal blasts. We only implanted one, healthy bean and it appears to be growing. I have a sonogram next, so fingers cross that everything is looking good.

Keep me updated on your progess.

I am new to online chatting, so I may be a little slow at getting the hang of all the techno stuff. I am glad there is a thread for over 35, as I am 37 and ttc baby number 1. My hubby and I are in Cycle 6 and all the fear of infertility is starting to set in and I am wondering is I should go ahead and see my doctor.

The ttw is already hard, but each cycle I have the annoying feeling that something is wrong because we are older and I have had HPV (sorry tmi) but everything looked good before we started trying.

Today I am 11 DPO and have had two negs yesterday and today. I am keeping my fingers crossed, but feeling like I'm out.

When did any of you start to think about seeing a Dr?

Hello ttc_baby_1,
We started when I was 36, but ours was a bit different. I ran marathons for years, so I did not have a menstrual cycle for 3 1/2 years. I first met with a doctor to see how to get my cycles back and he told me to "gain weight and not run so much". So I did. We tried for about six months and nothing! I was sure that I would get pregnancy immediately because I'm healthy and always have been; however, my husband had testicular cancer two years prior and had a testicle removed. Even though his doctor said this shouldn't pose a problem with conception, it obviously did. So, after six month, we had him go back to his urologist and sure enough, his sperm count was horrible.

We knew the odds were against us, but we kept trying for another year without visiting the fertility doctor. I just amped up on vitamins and had him do whatever he could to get his sperm count up. Still it failed. Not until January this year, we finally resorted to IVF after learning that my insurance covered the costs.

The problem is, with our age we still produce eggs, but not nearly as many healthy ones. So even if you do conceive, the likelihood of miscarrying, even before you know you're pregnant, is much greater. You can still get pregnant, but it will take longer, and that's just a fact, sadly to say. I would say after a couple more month you may want to see the fertility doctor. It can't hurt to check both you and your husband out.

Hope that helps.

Samsfan,

How are you doing? I hope your beta was good? Thinking of you!

This is amazing news. Dr S is the man!! Try and relax and know that whatever will happen will happen. Have faith and stay positive. My sister in law decided to try and got prego right away, she's due in Nov. My brother is thrilled but shes hi risk with diabetes. It can happen, stay the course and be happy. I am so happy for you. Keep me in the loop.

Hello girls, I am pleased to join you. I am 38 years old, pregnant 6 weeks with firts bb.

Babywhisperer- I too have gestational diabetes.. Thank you so much for the referral.. I don't think it had anything to do with Dr. S skill.. bc it was the worst cycle... but something rocked... We heard the heartbeat and I am now 7 weeks....

Melly- How are you doing?

Hi all!
