Welcome to 'Trying To Conceive Over 35'

What is an RE? I was just reading
that some had sorta my situation and a few days later got a positive ? Is this possible I could still be

15 days my surge line was July 26 27. I was really hoping I was pregnant. :(

Odds are that you are not. 85%+ get their bfp by then. Outside chance, but not very likely, esp with spotting and a neg test. You should see a RE, get day 3 bloods done, SA, and thyroid panel.

Thanks, it's hard to get into doctor. She did blood work and I checked out fine. I probably just need to relax. Idk, so now since I think I got it do I count my 11 days to start all over again. I'm bummed.

What do you mean your 11 days? Can you get ovulation predictor kits? It will take the guess work out of it.

Starting my 2 week wait after O yesterday. I'm really hopeful this month. DHs SA came back normal. So, the stress is off. Also, we tried preseed this month to give his little guys a little extra swimming juice.

Feeling out. Will test one more time tomorrow then stop the Endometrin and wait for af.

Checking in! I just joined BabyandBump. I'm 35 going on 36 in a few months. I've been married since 2006 with no pregnancies yet. My husband has low... well... everything. We're now seeing a specialist and hoping for the best.

Good luck to you. I see you're in NY. My RE is at Cornell and they are absolutely the best in the state and #2 in the country. I cannot speak more highly of everyone that works there.

Trying to get pregnant over the age of 35 comes with its own unique issues. Take a breather from the bustle of the regular TTC forum and chat with others who are trying for a baby later in life.

We hope this forum helps you on your journey :)

New to the forum and to this whole process! (need to learn all the abbreviations on here!) Just turned 37 this month, TTC for about 7 months. GYN says keep trying 6 more months but I'm getting anxious. Just started seeing ND - starting Chinese herbs and acupuncture. And BBT charting! Hoping this is my year, fingers crossed! :howdy:

Hello! I’m so glad I stumbled upon this thread. It’s such a personal topic, that I’m glad there is a place for me to talk about this anonymously. I just turned 37, seemingly totally healthy – 29 day cycle like a clockwork, ovulation on the 14th day (according to Clear Blue and Wondfo). I get ovulation cramps around the same time too. I had AMH measured last year, and it was 4.3. I just got my FSH measured earlier this month, and it was 6.9. My fiancé and I have been trying since May. It’s Day 24 in my cycle.

I had Mirena (IUD) for a little over 5 years, which was removed in May to start trying. When it was put in (2008), the doctor said that my uterus was shut and she could not get the IUD inside of me at the first try. So I had to put a pill in my vagina to dilate my cervix/uterus. I asked the doctor at the time if a shut uterus meant I would have a hard time conceiving in the future, and she said it had nothing to do with it because the egg and sperms are so small. No complications from IUD after that.

I know it’s been only 3 months. Is it too early to get tested for blocked tubes or something (or a shut uterus, in my case)? I don’t have any history of pelvic inflammation, etc. My fiancé has never been tested for anything fertility related, so maybe that’s a start? I don’t think I’m overly anxious or nervous about conceiving. I’m very healthy – normal weight, stay active, eat well, etc. What’s the next step for me? Maybe I'll try taking my temperature next cycle. Any suggestions appreciated!
