what if i fart during labor??

hahah this makes me laugh but i would be soooo embarassed!!! has this happened to anyone?! it doesnt help that i have a MALE, YOUNG, NOT SO BAD LOOKING, doctor!! eeeekkkss. I dont like this already!

lol i dont think you'd care if you did, im more worried if i had a bowl movement, im sure they tell you to go b4 going to the hospital?.. but people ive spoken to say nothing mattes at the time of you giving birth

I had to go to the bathroom when i was in labor and even said it and they could not let me go so i had no choice to go there, it was embarrassing but at the time i could not care less lol

Now though i am afraid i may have that happen again so this time around i would like the chance to use the washroom first.

hahaha.. this thread is funny ... over here they tell you to push thru ur bum as if ur having a poo.. and that having a poo while in labour is good coz it gives the baby more room to come thru.... while ur in labour ladies unfortunately all ur dignity goes out the window lololol and u really dont care.. all u want is to hold ur precious little

Leave your dignity at the door. is pretty much what I was told so I did just that and Didnt care Im sure they have seen it all. I never farted or had a bowel movement with my daughter and Im hoping the same goes for this baby but if it happens it happens I really dont think ill care too much

Ahahahaha- this brings back memories!!!

I had a 2nd degree tear after the birth of my DD that required stitching. My OB came in to assess the damage and work his magic... I was chatting away on a hormone high and while my OB was putting my stitches in I let fly. Not once, but a few times! I'd had an epidural and I don't really know where all the wind was coming from! I giggled my head off nervously and apologised saying 'It wasn't me. I didn't mean that.' (WTF???). My OB actually leaned back on his stool until he was sure I'd stopped. My hubby laughed so hard he cried and I was mortified.

I can laugh about it now though

I have to agree with the girls who say you won't care. You really won't !! Also you probably won't even know you're even doing a poo, when it comes to it ! They have pads there for the exact purpose of whisking away anything that shows up. I didn't know that I did, until I asked the nurse why she kept rolling the pads into balls and tossing them, I thought I was bleeding a lot.....Same with farts, TRUST ME when I say you just won't care ! When I was at that crucial moment, i couldn't have cared less if my Dad walked in and had a look ! It's not worth stressing about, you'll see...

I am glad i am not the only one but i felt that i had to go and me being the person i am no one can come in the washroom when i am pooing lol and to have to do it there was well scary at first but then i did not care lol I said those people will never see me again i may have been the talk that night but aw well.
