what is the difference between prog injections and sups?

I just started my hydroxyprog injections and i noticed that some take vaginal sups for progs. Is there a difference of effectness? This is my 3 time using injection and last twoi made it to 33 weeks but last baby i had lots of close calls and almost had her at 28wks. This time i started them a little before 16weeks. I get one each week but the ladies that take vag sups use everyday. Surely that sounds much better?

i have heard the injections are stronger and more potent, i heard this on another forum inspire.com, but im not sure how true it is

I asked my OB yesterday and he said that the injections are more for preterm labor and the sups are more for helping cervix to not shorten. I dont really know much else about it but my cervix does shorten around 20 weeks. He did say injections are stronger.
