What little things gripe you? Pet peeves? Come have a rant! :)

I don't mind being asked about my meal. What annoys me is when random people as me how I am instead of just saying "hi". Here is Australia more than everywhere else I've lived people everywhere say "Hi, how are you today?!", as if I'd start telling my problems to the checkout lady.

Haha! What are you supposed to say? Im really s**ty today!

I hate it when salespeople do this! I usually give a great audible sigh, gets the message across

Waiters asking if everything is okay with your food, two secs after you've been given it and you have a gob fulla food so can barely reply.

I used to work in T.G.I Friday, and we were always told we had to ask within 5bites, so if anything was wrong, we could replace it quickly. I hated doing it, cos I hate it when it happens to me! Plus, when you have 8-10 tables all wanting drink refills, dessert etc, its almost impossible to get to everyone by 5bites!

That give me the creeps, so they made you watch people eat?! urgh!

Yup pretty much! So you'd start to feel like a crazy stalker person! Some people started just putting plates down, walking to the next table, then going back to check on the meal before people had even taken a bite! It's all ridiculous lol. Used to annoy me when people would eat almost all their meal, and then find a problem with it. We had one lady who we actually saw pull hairs out of her head and put them on her plate!

People that dont know what to do at four way stops!

When the men cut the grass outside and get grass all over my car -.- even worse when I've just washed it! -.-

So I just saw a post on MSN this morning talking about how much more vulnerable America and Latin America are to fraud because we still mainly use the swipe systems, rather than the chip and pin systems that Europe has gone to using. Now I know what a chip and pin is, to know what they were referring to;)

Okay, had another fast food trip that annoyed me last night:

Drive thru at Burger King, ordered a whopper Junior meal with no onion for myself with onion rings instead of fries, and a kids meal for my boys to split, as I had a dr appt and knew we weren't going to be home for dinner (didn't end up getting home til 8pm from doctor and pharmacy, another annoyance...)

Pulled up to window, the girl says you know the chicken sandwich doesn't have onions, right? I said, I didn't order chicken? I ordered a whopper junior.
She says Oh no, they changed the order of the meals, I keep forgetting! Then she runs off to tell the people making the food what I had actually wanted.

She comes back, has me pay for meal. Hands me the bags, asks if I want any sauce, which I reply yes, ranch for kids meal, and onion ring sauce for mine.
Oh no,you wanted onion rings, I forgot! Then she runs off again to fix it. Comes back, hands me my food again, and the receipt. I then see she has charged me more for the chicken meal, which isn't what I ordered. So then had to wait for her to get a manager to refund my card $3, because there was no way I was paying more for this meal that was already turning out badly. LOL.

Why do I even bother with fast food:dohh: The point was to save me time since we weren't stopping at home, but what a mess.

Additional annoyance was the doctor's trip and pharmacy trip. Waited an hour beyond my scheduled appt time to see the doctor, with 2 kids in tow who were less than thrilled by the hour wait with nothing to do. Why do they even bother scheduling appts for times they have no intention of being anywhere near on schedule for?

Then had to go to pharmacy to get antibiotics, which I was told would take less than 20 minutes. It took 1 hr 45 minutes. My kids were so done with waiting by this point that their stellar behavior earned me a "Would you mind waiting in your car and we will call you when its ready" from the pharmacist. LOL. Honestly, not sure what they were expecting from 2 young kids made to wait that long beyond when they told me it would be ready.

I was just. beyond. done. by that point. Couldn't be more glad that yesterday is over.

OMG! how rude! i would have been like 'no sorry im going to keep them here as an insentive for you to hurry the fuck up' lol

Oh my goodness I HATE that. My doctor's office will call you in from the waiting room within 5 minutes and a nurse will come take your vitals...and then you wait for about an hour in a tiny little exam room by yourself. It's SO annoying! I like my doctor though, so I'm not going to chance. The sad thing is our pediatrician is almost as bad, usually about a half hour wait. And Heaven forbid they have to go test something/check on something/etc - they will "be right back" (in 30-45 minutes)....

yeah, I was pretty pissed when they said that to me. It was THEIR fault my kids were bored enough to be behaving that bad anyways. If they had gotten my prescription ready in a timely fashion, we'd have been long gone! Only in hindsight today, do I find it kind of funny that my kids were that awful in the waiting area that they felt the need to ask me to leave and wait in my car for a phone call that my prescription was ready. LOL

The thing that gripes me is the people that dont work (unless for genuine reason, which i know alot are) getting hundreds of pounds handed to them a month for nothing. I know that sounds harsh. Today a family i worked with who plead poverty asked me to help with their financies. They get 2.5 times what i earn a months plus housing benefit. They have no reason not to work but know how to fiddle the system.

Also on a lighter note those that dont dress their kids appropriate for the weather. Today i seen a 3/4 yr old with a pair of ugg boots on and a long sleeved jumper with a gilet. My car thermometer said it was 33 degrees!

another thing that annoys me..
if i car lets a pedestrian cross the road, its manners to thank the driver, when a pedestrian waits for a car to pass, even though they don't need to, the driver never thinks its manners to say thanks.
alot of drivers do this not thinking they should say thank you, heck i probably wouldn't if i was a driver, but as a pedestrian this annoys me.

also annoys me when drivers don't say thanks to other drivers for giving way, and im not a driver lol

When you buy a new car and it has to go back into the shop a week after you get it:grr:

I live in the countryside and a lot of people who live around here are very rich and feel like living in the Lakes means a 4x4 is necessary (it isn't). Of course they don't buy old and sturdy landrovers like most of the actual farmers have, instead they all have £30k brand spanking new Range Rovers. Fine, whatever. But what seriously bugs me is when I meet them on a little country road, the type where you have to reverse 2 miles to find a passing place, and they are so worried at getting their pretty cars scratched or dirty that they will not budge over or even go near a hedge, so I'm practically in a ditch in my cheap little car, which, unlike theirs, wasn't actually designed to manage ditches and hedges and a bit of mud :dohh: The irony of them 'needing' these cars for living here and yet refusing to go as much as an inch off road, in their off road vehicle, drives me insane!! And this happens like twice a day.

emyandpotato - I totally agree with you. I get annoyed by people who have a 4x4 and don't go anywhere near the country. I live quite rurally, and I don't have a 4x4 - the only time I've come close to needing one was when we had all the snow easter last year, and if I did have one, I'd have a big old farmer's 4x4, not some shiny white one! I was picking a friend up up a country lane once and some woman was right by a big entrance to a farm, so I made her reverse, as she was literally 5 yards from it, I would have had to reverse for ages, and she had the cheek to be mouthing me off. I just waved and smiled sweetly.

I have a fairly big car, so I don't get 'bullied' on the roads, but my sister has a tiny little thing, a typical teenagers/early 20s girls car, and it's amazing how much other drivers think they can push people around when driving that car. My mum was driving it in town, and the cars were parked on the other side of the road, she was already driving past them, and some man just started driving towards her, even though he could see her, and there was a car driving behind him, too. My mum was starting to get in a bit of a flap, and she would have reversed back. I told her to keep driving forwards though, and he and the car behind both had to reverse. Ha!

A Chelsea tractor my oh calls them!
