What little things gripe you? Pet peeves? Come have a rant! :)

Going to the supermarket in the rain and discovering that all the trolleys with baby seats have been put out in the rain so the trolley bay can be used to display anti-freeze. Having to carry baby, drag the trolley one handed inside to the drying point and use the paper towels to dry the seat one handed while 3000 people try to push you out the way.

I hate my local Asda!!!!

Oh wow that is awful. Supermarkets are not designed like that here, the "trolley bay" is not usually inside the store, like there is a set of doors, a vestibule with the trolley bay, and then another set of doors. It's an airlock thing to keep the air conditioning/heating in, but they don't put pay merchandise in the vestibule. So it's only for buggies, ever. On busy days they might all be in use though!

And almost all of our bugggies (trollies) have baby seats! I'm kind of surprised to hear some don't have them?

Argos. Just Argos in general. Normal shops WORK, why change it? I did not appreciate waiting twenty five minutes for a £3 cutlery tray. Ikea would never pull that kind of crap.

Ikea is my idea of heaven!! Have you tried their meatballs and gravy? Absolutely amazing!! I haven't tried them since they supposedly had horse meat in i hope they still taste the same! Aldi used to do a lovely lasagne but that had horse meat in too it now tastes rank! As much as I hate the thought of eating horse I must say it tasted nice x

Ikea meatball sauce is amazing, you can buy just the sachets for the sauce you know?

Yeah i know we used to get our dinner in the cafe then go to the shop and buy the meatballs and a few packets of sauce, im well overdue some now!! I don't think oh will be happy with a drive all the way to the metro centre just for meatballs and gravy haha x

Whilst we're on the subject of shopping.... Self service check outs are terrible! Why ask me to take it out of the bagging area when I've just scanned it? Every time I go to one I think I'm going to save time but there's always some kind of issue with it, by the time it's done I may have well just gone through the normal check out....and I think this everytime but still don't learn.

And our local aldi (which doesn't gave self serve) has a car park which is on a hill......they also have shopping trolleys with no brakes on! It's a bloody nightmare trying to load the car whilst trying to stop the trolley rolling away!!!!

Ahaha no! You just have to spend 25 minutes following their stupid path and going through every single department before you get to the department you want, only to find the item you want displayed in a fancy make shift kitchen but not find the rest of the stock; then go onto spend another 30 minutes following path to where they keep the stock; then of course have to go back on yourself to get meatballs, going against the flow of people making it extra difficult and getting filthy looks from everyone for cheating the system. Then by the time you've worked your way back through the maze to the checkouts and waited in the stupidly designed queues; picked up some scented tea lights you didn't really want and paid 45p for a bag you didn't really need you're more than ready for your fabulously gross 50p hot dog which is secretly the only reason you came.
I hate ikea. 😂

Yes but you don't go to Ikea for the £3 cutlery tray (which is probably only 40p there), you go for the experience.

You defo dont want babyseats in all trolleys. I love the small trolleys for a quick visit. My lo likes to walk round.

Seeing the stupid person driving into the Asda car park (from an extremely busy road) with their 4-5yo hanging.. yes hanging out the window..

This was from a few days ago but it still bothers me!

I was in b&m and this man smiled at my daughter. She usually gives me a weird stare for a few seconds then smiles! His tramp of a partner said she is looking at him like he is a piece of shit.

What now....did you really just swear like that in front of my daughter and ABOUT my daughter!

Stupid cow.

Should have just replied "yeah she's got good senses about people"

I usually have really good replies hours after the event lol!

People that make a huge deal out of something that doesn't affect them AT ALL!

Yes my DH might have told us all a white lie about leaving work. But yknow... His wife was in hospital, losing his child & on that particular day having surgery for a suspected ectopic pregnancy. He was a little bit tense!! Could you work with all that on your mind? I cannot see the point of you now making a HUGE drama about him lying to you, and now trying to turn the whole family against him. 2 months ago he was gods gift. Make your damn mind up.

Also, my DH saving a glass of juice for 2/3 days and still drinking it. Bleh!!

On the subject of supermarkets, I have to add rude customers. I have worked in a couple of shops in the past and some people really made me want to scream. One lady went mad at my collegue for greeting her with 'hi' instead of 'good day'. I've also been groped, shouted at and had to clean up allsorts of crap people couldn't be bothered to bin. Be nice to your shop assistants, they get paid very little to do a job they probably have no interest in.

I agree and I don't even work in retail! I find it mortifying when someone is being obnoxious to a shop or restaurant worker. I try to console myself with the thought that the worker is probably aware that every other customer listening is silently thinking, "Oh my god, pull your head in, you giant cock."

I used to work in retail, so I feel sometimes I notice it more than the average customer. I was in line behind a lady and her adult daughter, they looked like nice people...The daughter only had clothing items with no tags (since they ALL had no tags, I feel this might have been on purpose!) since you can get the UPC off the clothing tag, the cashier was able to enter them by hand. Well the lady argued the price on all of them, that they were all on the clearance rack, and put at least one back because the cashier said "Well I've entered the code, if it were on clearance it would have come up as so"...they argued about other things. The mother brought reusable bags, and then argued about how the cashier bagged her things. They used a cart, and emptied the cart onto the belt, but then just left the cart there in the checkout line so I had to move it to put my stuff on. They were just horrible to the cashier. She was just a girl too, I was extra nice to her.
