when should bloods be taken?

I saw a different Doctor as mine was off sick today. I was meant to be getting blood tests done today to test for loads of things (I'm on cycle day 2 today), but he has told me to do them all 6 dpo, when my progesterone can be tested at the same time.

I'm a bit confused, as I thought certain blood tests had to be done at a certain time of the month e.g. FSH at the start of the month.

Anyone please? When did other people get their blood tests taken?

Sorry, I've never had bloods done fore hormones, so I can't help. Just didn't want to read an run. But I'm thinking if he said to come back at 6dpo so you could do the progesterone then he's clearly thought about it so I wouldn't worry and just trust that he knows what he's doing. But maybe someone else could give you more advice. You could maybe post what exact tests you're going to have done?

thanks. He just said that he was testing for everything e.g. thyroid, FSH and progesterone.
