Who buys the gifts for OH's family?

I buy all the gifts and keep an eye on the budget but OH gives suggestions on what his side of the family would like. They do a secret santa though and only buy one gift which usually ends up being a daft joke one which baffles me somewhat but whatever suits I guess

When we did secret santa at work that same thing happened, all daft joke presents. Except the one I bought, which was some really nice bath stuff and moisturisers from Next.

Everyone else got things like those candy g-strings from Ann Summers and boxes of condoms in colours and flavours. I just don't see the point in that, it was a waste of money for no effort whatsover. It was a bit funny on the night out we had but I can't imagine giving gifts like that to family

I buy for my family he buys for his. I wrap everything and write the cards though. He picks some of the presents he does ask me though if he's stuck for ideas. We both buy for our son and daughter but I pick these.

Ditto to this. We cut contact with them nearly 3 years ago now. For the very short time we were all on good terms though, I bought the gifts etc - men are sooo dsorganised at it aren't they! My mum's been writing birthday cards to her best friend's brothers for him for years now, cos he never remembers

We'll have a discussion over what he thinks they'd like, but then I buy, wrap, send cards etc. Men are generally not good with that sort of thing!

we have a joint account and i control it, as my oh dosnt think bout bills first lol so basically he gets pocket money lol but anyway my oh hates xmas shopping he will go i dunno what to get, and il ask if he has any ideas he goes dunno, so in the end i end up contacting his family asking what they want buying it wrapping it and writting the cards lol, i do my side to and ds and i even do mine lol cause he buys me crap i dont want and its a waste of money lol but i love him lots as he cooks and cleans on xmas day so its evens xx

me i do all the buying and wrapping and card writing. james would happily do it if i reminded him but i'm at home and he's at work so it's just easier for me to do it. though now we've had a falling out and wont be seeing them i wont need to worry i'll send a few cards but thats it!

I do all the pressie buying ... apart from his grandad this year because I've got no idea whatsoever

I buy them all - usually without any input at all from him but he does do all the wrapping apart from the stocking fillers.

I don't actually send cards at all I just can't be bothered LOL - I don't even really like getting cards either .... they get in the way while I'm trying to clean and I don't like having them hanging up
