Why not just release his own song though? I hate that all they churn out is remakes of songs that are already hits. I get why they do it but the show would be more credile if the songs were original iykwim?

He can write his own songs, I think that's what he used to do originally (he wrote Maiden which is the best song I've ever heard, hahaha!) and I wish they would have let him do his own. But it's the Cowell Empire. Take a popular song and give to the winner of a popular TV show equals double the popularity
