i hope thing work out at work soon chellie ... i remember having some right trouble with my ex employee about a holiday first they said i could have it then they said no for some of the days and they were saying i would have to go awol ... which i could have got sacked for ... but i argued it out with them and ended up going but they can be pain in the butt

Well I had to call work to let them know I couldn't work today because I had no childcare and I feel so bad but what was I supposed to do, take my son with me?! Went to see my MW and she's put me in contact with a collegue of hers who may be able to offer me some advice and support with my employment rights. What's everyone up to tonight? I've got to stop myself from watching The Apprentice cos I'll be recording it so hubby and I can watch it together. It sucks! I love it and can't wait til tomorrow

Evening ladies, just thought I'd nip on to say hi before bed. I've had a tough day again with Noah. This growth spurt seems to be lasting forever, he's constantly wanting boobie!!

On the bright side he's finally asleep so I'm off to bed I'll no doubt be up at 4 again!

Hey ladies, I agree, the words "growth spurt" have the ability to make me go cold Well Arf and I have a cold and while I feel like just curling up and crying, Arf seems to be on some kinda high, which I hope isn't a result of the medicine lol Finally got my issues at work sorted so I'm only working two full days and one half day (4 hours now) so woohoo! Apparently all I had to do was mention my union and suddenly, miraculously the changes could be made
What's everyone up to this weekend? I'm a bit bummed because it's my little brother's 18th birthday party and so Arf and I are going through to Ossett but I feel so crap I'm not gonna be great company Have a great day everyone xx

Me and Alfie have had a cold this week too I've had it 5 days now, I think there's something going round. Hope you get better soon.

We're meeting a friend at Xscape today so Evie can go play in the soft play there. We've been indoors all week so she's really looking forward to getting out.

I'm off sick again today been feeling really fluey and crappy all week! But so glad I took yesterday off as my gorgeous kitty Ambrose was hit by a car and killed at teatime i would have been at work when the neighbours came to get us otherwise - even though he was already dead he was still warm and got an awful picture of OH carrying his lifeless little body round the corner....it's so empty without him this morning he was the most beautiful and loving cat ever. We're burying him today with his favourite fleece blanket and toy mouse. He wasnt even 1 year old til next month

Oh Vanessa, I'm so sorry about your kitten He was so gorgeous. I was heartbroken when my cat died, I think I cried for about a week.

Morning everyone how have we all been?

I went to book the wedding on saturday but the wedding terms and conditions aren't out till beginning of december! I was so annoyed, why display the brochures if u can't book anything? So then me and Chris ended up walking round barnsley with £1000 on us made up of everyones's deposits so far. The look on Chris's face was priceless - he really thought he was going to get mugged!!

I also went for my hospital checkup yesterday which was a complete waste of time! Plus side is i'm now discharged, got my 6 weeks check at the docs today with Noah.

Hhmmm, Noah had decided for the last few days to store all his poo up and do them between the hours of 5am and 8am What's that all about? He's got me up farting fit to bust and is currently sat in his chair tooting away! I've changed 3 full nappies already!

Have any of u got any plans for bonfire night?

Not sure about bonfire night. DH's boss always gives him the crap shifts so he is working on friday which is typical. Will try and find one on Sat though.

Hey all I've had a horrid few days I went home from work with chronic back pain on tuesday and then 6am wednesday morn, I woke up to discover I had what must have been food poisoning. I have been sick so much it's a wonder I haven't brought up a vital organ by now (sorry tmi ) This was after eating my hubby's stew on tuesday evening and he swore blind it couldn't have been that. He'd taken his to work with him so had it 7 hours later than I did - low and behold he comes home from work sick as a dog in the early hours of this morning (he works nights). Must have taken longer to get through his system but if confirms it was his blasted stew I had plans for bonfire night, double plans actually but I'm cancelling both because I really don't want to pass this on to anyone, which is a bit of a bummer I still feel really bad but I have to go to work later. Of course, as he's a man, Chris has it worse and so can't look after the baby at all. He's just able to try to sleep his off whereas I had to endure every endless hour until Arf went to bed and I could then go to bed Men do my head in when they're ill, he acts as though he can fight it off better and it doesn't affect him as much. Well, no, it won't affect him as much when he's just able to lay down and do naff all
