~Yorkshire BnB'ers Chinwag~

Morning chick! Oh thats a pain! Did they let you pencil in a date or anything?

Oh bless Noah, i bet he feels better for having a good clear out though :)

Not sure about bonfire night. DH's boss always gives him the crap shifts so he is working on friday which is typical. Will try and find one on Sat though.

Jem he got his rota at work he just needs to copy it and bring it home xx

It's chris's SIL who who is taking care of it as she works at cooperative travel, so she's gonna let us know when we can book it. She didn't realise we couldn't either:wacko: We will still be going on the same flights 23rd feb 2010 we think, just got to wait for hotel confirmation and how much they'l be charging before we can book everything.

Noah has been asleep since his clearout so yeah it must have made him feel better:haha:

Hhmmm, Noah had decided for the last few days to store all his poo up and do them between the hours of 5am and 8am:wacko: What's that all about? He's got me up farting fit to bust and is currently sat in his chair tooting away! I've changed 3 full nappies already!

Have any of u got any plans for bonfire night?

After 6 weeks Dylan changed to twice weekly poops lol....

Until we got the jumperoo :dohh: :dohh: :dohh:

Yeah i read yesterday that their poops change at 6 weeks? I have noticed he hasn't been pooing much after his morning clearout:haha:

Are the jumperoos worth the money, i've heard loads about them. What age can u use them from?

The girls at bf group call it a jumperpoo :haha:

Got it while it was on offer at argos and its cracking - doubt I'd have paid £90 but they are reasonably priced secondhand too

He LOVES it and will go in for ages if I'd let him - fab when I want to eat lol!!! think they recommend from 6months Or when they have good head control, and Dylan has fantastic head control so we popped him in and he was great.

Meant to be for christmas

Hellooooo!! Hope everyone's had a good week  I'm feeling so much better today and despite being up at the crack of dawn with Arf, we've had such a fun morning, he's been giggling like crazy and I love it :cloud9: Of course, the more he laughs, she more I laugh and that gets him going all over again and so on . . . :haha: He's really fab!! His teeth have been playing him up though and so that's not been nice :nope: I wish I could take the pain from him, I really would happily take it for myself. I'm have a mega lazy weekend to get over this sickness bug I had this week, but I do feel a tad guilty  I really need to sort Arf's room out and give my bathroom a bloody good scrub. Ahh well, it can wait til tomorrow, stuff it!! Anybody doing anything exciting this weekend? xx

Morning all. Off to a bonfire and firework display in Holmfirth tonight. You have to pay to get in so hopefully it will be worth it.

Had a pretty crappy week. Got something wrong with my eye and hubby was diagnosed with hypothyroidism on thursday so now he has to have medication and blood tests for the rest of his life but on the plus now we know whats wrong the med should make him feel better.

How is everybody else getting on?

xx

Hello all

berticles21: I'd certainly invest in a jumperoo. TBH at first I thought they were a bit of a hype product until Chloe had a go in one at her nursery and it convinced me there and then to get one. I got it second hand when Chloe was about 5/6 months. I have just passed it onto my sister who is due in Feb becasue Chloe is too tall to use it but she loves bouncing and really really loved hers!

MrsBandEgglet: Don't blame you for not doing much after the illness you have had! Don't be too hard on yourself, enjoy playing and giggles with Arf. I love it when they laugh after you do and it goes on and on :haha: :flower:

AimeeM: Sorry to hear about your husbands illness, I know of another member on here who has thyroid problems and is on medication now for life too but she felt much better when it kicked in. Its a bit daunting when they say for life but I hope things settle for you all now he has been diagnosed :flower: Hope your eye gets better soon too :hugs: Enjoy the bonfire :D

We may be going to one tonight, in Mirfield I think. Some of OH's friends have recommended it, Ive never been before. I'm trying to find out if its free or not, we are limited with funds at the mo (as per :haha:) We did have a mini bonfire celebration on Thursday in the back garden which Chloe loved so i'm not too fussed if we can't go.

Its a bit of a pain when they make you pay. Of course if it is for charity i think its great but when they are charging just for the money is pisses me off!

Some one was having a major firework display on our road last night but i couldn't help be a little annoyed that they decided to do it from 11 to 12 pm and woke Nathan up 3 times :growlmad:

Main list updated to include,

Rachey Rach, Louise1985, Berticles21, feltzy, Googily bear and nicky1980.

Sorry for being slack and taking so long!

Is that the underactive one? I have been on meds for underactive thyroid since ooft first year of uni I think, so about 8 years now, and happily ticking over and had no probs since :)

Blood test once a year to check its still the same (although I had a heap during pregnancy which will not likely be an issue for ur fella :haha:) and just pop a pill every morning  TBH I generally forget about it though I must be taking hte pills as I keep having to get more :haha:

Hope he gets it sorted quickly

11-12 is taking the mick a bit. Thankfully Chloe was oblivious to the bangs around here, the cats were freaked tho bless. Hope there are no late ones tonight to keep him up. :flower:

I found the Mirfield one is £3 adults and £1 kiddies. Were going to see how sleepy OH feels as it was his 1st day back today after a week and a half off.

Aimee - I would have been seriously naffed off if people nearby started fireworks at that time, that's really inconsiderate :growlmad:
I've been at a firework party/gathering type thing tonight and I'm a bit annoyed actually because I spent quite a bit of time preparing these fancy marshmallow and sweetie kebab things with tinsel on them so they looked like sparklers. I coated some marshmallows in chocolate and they looked too good to eat, even if I do say so myself lol  I was quite proud of them and the 'host' of this party pretty much passed them off as her own to her other guests :growlmad: I made bloody sure they knew though. Ahh well, it was a nice evening anyway but we had to come home early because Arf was so tired. xx

:grr: Why would they try that, some people eh! At least you put them straight! They do sound yummy!

Morning everyone, did we all have good weekends?

Well me and Chris had our 1st night out as a couple on sat. Chris's mum came to look after Noah and I expressed as much as i could and got some aptimil formula to top up. It felt so strange to be out!!

It took me forever to get ready though, its so annoying at the minute, all my regular clothes fit, but I've still got the jelly belly so everything was making me look like a jeremy kyle guest with huge muffin top!! Thanks god for suck it in tights:thumbup:

We went to the local, and dear god, I am definately out of practice drinking! I was rather merry! Got to face chris's mum today, I don't even know what I was rambling on to her about when I got back:dohh:

We really enjoyed it though, but we decided that it would be best if Noah stayed at chris's mums next time as getting up for feeds when u feel rough isn't the best! Chris was a star though and did the night feeds and took Noah for a walk yesterday morning so I could stay in bed.

So I spent yesterday feeling crap and like I was a bad mum:cry: I'm back on form today though, so hopefully the little man will forgive me:thumbup: I really don't know how I used to do it! My friends all warned me I'd have the hangover from hell when i finally went out, and boy were they right!!

Anyway that was my weekend, back to trying to be healthy now, only 4 weeks to try and fit into a nice dress for my christmas do:haha:

elo everyone ... my name is Laura and I live in Rotherham!! Been here for 4years, moved from Mansfield! I am 24+3 with our first baby, a lil girl :)

xxx

Hi Laura  Welcomeandcongrats on your little girly :D

How is everyone doing today?

Berticles i bet it did feel nice to be out though, i haven't had a night out in about a year or maybe more looking forward to one soon! Don't feel like a bad mum :hugs: you deserve to let your hair down once in a while :hugs:

 Hello Laura & congrats :flower:

Afternoon,

I'm just busy at work at the mo, which is good. I am doing a course as well and have a deadline on the 19th Nov so should be focusing on that too! Far too easily distracted :haha: Chloe had a fab 1st birthday, took her to see Blackpool lighs, took her on a ride on the beach on her new trike and we went swimming too. Holiday was really nice, shame it's over but I guess Christmas isn't that far away now - eek! Thats about it really, just been getting back to reality! :haha:

Aimee: Keep forgetting to say, - not in the top 20? :saywhat:  Huh! Like you said, it's more who you know, but still! Nathan is adorable in the pic

Hello! May I join?

I'm Verity, 30 and from Almondbury, Huddersfield. My son, Ted (Edward) is almost 20 weeks old, and I'm in the 2WW (long story!). My husband and I got married in August 09, and we are both musicians working as teachers and freelance.

xxx

Been reading back a bit... Aimee, we didn't get into the top 20 either lol
xx

Good morning all.

Welcome Verity, what a small world it is, i'm living in Almondbury too. I am from Salendine Nook but have been living up here for almost 2 years :) Did you give birth at CRH? xx

I know, not even in the top 20! I was amazed that the winner got over 1000 votes, fix!

I am upset with the weather today. It is rubbish when it's like this and you have a child to entertain.
