we are going to a dog algility training club on saturday in sheffield which iam so excited about and our dog will love it he has so much energy lol ive always wanted to go to one with him but never found a palace. Phoned a couple but they never sounded right and welcoming so i found this on the net yesterday and phoned the lady and she sounded lovely and like she does it for the love of dogs ..... and in a couple of weekends they are having a doggie xmas party which sounds like will be fun :)

Oh no poor Evie i really hope she is ok :( glad the surgeon got in touch with you x x

Yes our Christmas tree has gone it was in the loft and now it seems to not be there. I am sure Wayne has thrown it out by mistake..

Jem the classes should be fun lol i would love to watch bless him i bet he will love it!

poor Evie my heart goes out to you both when i read your posts and i look out for updates. Hope things improve soon, keep us informed x Well i've had a poorly upset baby tonight after his 2nd set of jabs, he's not really a crier so it's been horrible to see him so sad with his bottom lip out wobbling and his little sad face :( Just wish i could take the pain for him. His first little toothy peg is coming through too so he probably feels very sorry for himself at the moment! Hope your babies are all well and you're all set for the big man arriving in a couple of weeks Xx

Oh sorry to hear your little man is upset, I know what you mean about the lip coming out when they cry because when Alfie does it he makes me want to cry too!

I went to meadowhall and bought a lot of my pressies yesterday and my step dad took Evie to see santa there. She had a bit of an accident though when she told me she needed the loo, I took her and the toilets were miles away so she ended up weeing herself, poor little love. I had to wrap my cardi round her and then take her to primark to buy some new clothes, I might try that when I'm out with Wayne I could do with some new clothes :haha:

sjminimac: Aww, hope Charlie feels better today after his jabs :flower:

Just a few of OH's presents to buy and a card for him too.

Feltzy: Oops! Poor Evie, I wouldn't dare try that with my OH, he'd be a tight git and leave me as I was! :haha:

Looking for a good grotto to take Chloe to see Santa as well, let hope she doesn't cry like last year!

Katie the one at the garden centre on the way to Mirfield is fantastic! I cant remember the name of the garden centre but it's just up from the three nuns.

Aww Vanessa bless little Evie. Did she enjoy seeing Santa?

S-j poor Charlie i hope his tooth comes through soon. Teething is a nightmare Nathan is really bad with his at the moment.

Yeah she loved it, but she got a bit confused because she thought with santa being there that it was xmas and wanted to know when she could open her presents!

I think the garden centre near 3 nuns is Whiteleys? OT but we went to 3 nuns for mothers day last year and every single one of us got food poisoning, about 10 of us!

Glad she liked it at Santa's! It's great when your young Christmas but i love it even more seeing the kids faces :)

Yeah i knew it was white something lol! There is a right nice farm shop too behind the garden centre they do gorgeous pies.
I'm not keen on three nuns either, also in the kids area Kayden choked on a sweet left on the floor and none of the staff could do first aid but luckily i got it out by doing like a hindlick thing what ever its called!

3 nuns is rubbish, they sent me a burger out with only the top half of the bun! Every time i've been i've sent food back which i normally hate doing. I'd rather go to the little chef for pancakes :) Have you tried the high park? That's a nice pub bodha a big play area for kids. Weird talking to people on here about stuff so local to me x

No I've not tried High Park but we might try that next time as a lot of places we used to eat we don't like to go to now for one reason or another. Our favourite for Sunday Dinner is The Royal Oak, its beautiful and all home cooked food.

Aimee, Thanks, I know which garden center you mean, I can't remember the name either but I know which one lol I think Feltzy has it! Ive been to the 3 Nuns since Mothers day, hmm, I haven't had food poisioning but once I didn't feel great afterwards, it did make me wonder! The last time was fine though! Think we shall be findinging a new bogof pub since I heard all that like!! I loooove Olympic breakfasts at Little Chef, thats when we can splurge on a real treat!

the white rose on leeds road near the town centre is supposed to be nice, it's very new x

it did just pop up didn't it? I keep meaning to give it a try too. You'll have to let me know what it's like if you go x

Hello everyone :hi: and hello to the new ladies :hi: have mostly skim read the pages tbh as I'm such a slacker

Dylans chest infection has cleared up so we are doing well  my work are offering voluntary redundancy as they are doing a restructure, and I have requested it as its too good an opportunity as we were thinking of moving anyway (hope they give it me! Will find out in Jan!). Which leads me to something I spotted whilst skim reading - Kte - it looks like you do a similar job to me but at Hudds Uni :hi: :haha: I work in the business school at Shef (Hallam :loopy:) do you like it there? Hallam is fairly cushy atm :haha:

Am hoping to have some extra time off but will be looking to work at Hudds or Leeds I imagine when I start job hunting (and when they all stop restructuring as well :haha:).

Also would like a yorkshire meet  :flower: Hope all you ladies are doing well? The snow has been a right PITA here :dohh: was getting serious cabin fever!!!!

Glad to hear Dylan is better Pinkandfluffy.

I had serious cabin fever last week too, I didn't go out for 4 days. It looks like its starting to clear up here but there's lots of ice, I went into Batley centre today and it was like walking on an ice rink!

How have I only just seen this thread?? Can I join please??

My name is Ruth, I live in Bradford with my husband and our little boy Frankie who is 12 weeks old today.

In my former life I was a primary school teacher at my local Catholic school. I do love my job but am wondering how I'll ever be able to leave my munchkin and go back to it, though I suppose I don't need to worry about that just yet as I'm not planning to return to work until July (just in time for the summer holidays!!)

Anyhoo, nice to see a group for Yorkshire mummies! xx

 Hey Ruth  Where about in Bradford are you from? I used to live there, scarily about 10 years ago now, but it's where I was born / brought up. My LO was a BRI baby too even though we live in Brighouse, it was nice considering both OH and I are BRI babies. Congrat's on your little man, was he a BRI baby too? Like the stocking avatar! Dont worry about going to work yet! Just enjoy your time off :D :flower:

Aw thanks, I love that stocking picture too! Took me ages to get him to be sat in just the right position but try as I might I couldn't get him to smile for me! I'm using that picture on his Daddy's Christmas card, just waiting for it to be delivered.

We live in Low Moor, which is just off the M62, not a million miles away from Brighouse! One of my best mates lives in Hove Edge so we're frequent visitors to your part of the world. In fact, we got Frankie's Christening outfit from a little baby shop in Brighouse, Baby Lilly's I think it was called.

Frankie wasn't a BRI baby. He was born in Halifax as Calderdale Royal and BRI are about equidistant from where we live, but the traffic at peak times is always horrendous going to BRI so we thought it might be a bit of a safer option going for Halifax. I wasn't born at the BRI either, but at St. Luke's before it's maternity unit was shut down (showing my age!). We laughed actually because when we went to register Frankie at the Bradford Registry Office, they said he would have to have a Calderdale birth certificate as he was born there so he has a Calderdale birth certificate, mine is from Bradford and my husband (who is from Surrey) has a Reigate one - what a diverse family!!!
