~Yorkshire BnB'ers Chinwag~

Hey everyone, how are we all fairing up in the snow? I hate it and so I'm staying in! :sulk: Gonna put my shopping order in online and hope it gets here . . . correctly! No work next week as I have some holiday to take woohooo!!
Yesterday was a completely awful day; Arf had an accident and so we had to take him to the childrens hospital. It was my fault and I can't tell you how bad I feel but the dr checked him out and said he's completely fine, he just has quite a bruise. He fell fowards off his changing unit, from about 2 and a half foot so I've learned a pretty hard lesson, but I'll be so much more careful now.

Feltzy, you're little girl sounds sooo brave after going through all that, poor little lamb :hugs:

We really should organize a Yorkshire meet some time soon, after xmas now would probably be better, but it'd be lovely to say a proper hello to you all :flower: Have a good weekend everyone. xx

Glad to hear your lo is ok, these things happen so don't beat yourself up too much, Alfie fell off the bed the other week but thankfully we have really thick carpet in the bedroom so he was ok!

We've got a party to go to tonight, its OH's dads 50th so I'm looking forward to getting out. The kids are going too and Evie's really excited, she's obsessed with birthday cakes! Good news about her neck too, the nurse has been coming to change her dressings and its healed over :happydance: its really good news for us because the main complication with the atypical tb is that wounds don't always heal so I think we've been really lucky! She'll still need a long course of antibiotics but I'm hoping she won't need another operation to remove her gland now, phew!

I would love to have a Yorkshire meet xx

MrsB: Glad to hear Arf is okay, hope your feeling better about it too :hugs:

Feltzy: Glad to hear it has healed, fingers crossed she won't need the op now :flower: Enjoy the 50th :D

A Yorkshire meet defo sounds good, but yeah after Christmas! I have a feeling these next few weeks are going to fly by! Its my Dad's 60th next week!

Good morning all.

Welcome Verity, what a small world it is, i'm living in Almondbury too. I am from Salendine Nook but have been living up here for almost 2 years :) Did you give birth at CRH? xx

I know, not even in the top 20! I was amazed that the winner got over 1000 votes, fix!

I am upset with the weather today. It is rubbish when it's like this and you have a child to entertain.

Hello! Sorry; I lost the link to this thread, and got terribly confused! Yep, Ted's a CRH baby. They were so lovely. We're now TTC #2, and though I'm desperate for a home birth this time, I'd go back, no worries!

1000 votes?! I pimped him EVERYWHERE! We didn't get anywhere near that many, I'm sure. Got to be some 'multiple email address work going on there surely!

Where in Almondbury are you? We're moving in a week and a half, but still with Almondbury!
xx
Hi! I remember chatting to you in 3rd then it just fell away. How are you? How's lo? Xx

Hello! We're all good! Ended up in HRI this afetrnoon with Ted. He's mega chesty and was working so hard to breathe. Luckily, it's viral... a full night's sleep would be fab; everytime he coughed last night, he spat his dummer out, and one of us had to go and plug him back in! How are you guys doing?

Kte, what do you do at the uni? I emailed my old lecturers in the music dept! I AM shameless!

Feltzy and MrsB, I hope LOs are ok. MrsB, I cracked Ted's head on the car door on the day of his Christening.... we were surrounded by people too, so I looked like the world's worstest mummy!

xxx

Yeah its fairly bad here, they forecast heavy snow for this evening but so far there isn't any. We went to build a snowman in the front garden today but after 5 minutes Evie went in because she was cold so I did it by myself :haha:

hello can i join this tread :)

im a little shy xxx

Hiya everyone! what great thing! cant beat yorkshire

how do I actually 'join' it properly? x

Hello Aly and Miss Yorkshire  AimeeM will update the OP when she pop's in  :flower:

EEK the snow right now, I'm sat here (at work) thinking, do I stay or do I go . . . nursery will call me they said, do I wait until they do, or just go?

Just looked at the forecast for where I am and its heavy snow all day so I wouldn't stay too long. The main roads where I am are already covered.

Thanks, a :coffee: to warm me up, trip to the ladies and then home!!!!! (via nursery!!!)

I nearly drove to the shop to get bread and juice but OH forbid me, we don't have much in for me and the kids to eat but I'll have to improvise lol. Its not like I can even walk to the shop because I won't be able to push the pram in this :dohh:

i owe karl a tenna as he said you wont get to the shop and back in your car :dohh: lol

he has a landrover so he is now feeling smug :growlmad: lol

we dont have much in well we have freezer foods but we dont really eat out of it but looks like we will have to lol

Welcome Aly, Belinda and Miss Yorkshire :hi: Hope everyone's ok? The snow is bloody awful. Chris went to work last night and hardly anyone had turned up :growlmad: He couldn't get home this morning so he had to abandon the car a good couple of miles from home and walk the rest. There was no trams running so he had to just walk it.
There's about 3ft of snow outside our house and nobody on our cul-de-sac has managed to go anywhere :dohh: I can't stand it! I know I'm moaning but I have things to do and I can't get anywhere to do them. Plus, although we did a shop on sunday we didn't get any baby wipes because they were on an offer but there was none left so we left it for now and Chris said he'd get some after work today. So I have about one packet of wipes left grrrr! My 20-week scan is on friday but if we can't get the car back we won't be able to go. I'm just really hacked off; this weather means people can't get to work and we don't get paid if we don't go in :nope:

How's everyone else coping?

awww big :hugs: babes

3ft of snow where are you lol

were coping ok but if it carries on we will start having problems too

karls work has phoned him to say they HAVE to go to work no matter what :growlmad: ok so he drives a landrover 90 but he could still get stuck 20 miles away

i really hope you can make it to your scan sweetie :hugs:

i'm going stir crazy. I actually like staying in for a few days and having cuddles on the sofa with my boy, but only when it's my choice! Baby class is cancelled, can't even cross the road to go for a coffee at my neighbours because our cul de sac is treacherous! Had planned on venturing out with the baby carrier but no chance :( Am bored now x
