~Yorkshire BnB'ers Chinwag~

Heya!

Hijacking this thread lol.. Vicki, 21, Leeds, pregnant with first baby! :)

Hope all is well and you're not snowed in like me..!! xx

hiya vicki :)
hope your weather isnt as bad as ours xxxx

well what have we all got planned for today im off for a walk up to nans as i CANT stop in any longer :nope:

lucky its only up the road 5 mins walk but i bet it will take a lot longer with samsam

we have more snow forecast for today and we already have 20 inch in our back garden :dohh:

karl has gone into work early so he doesnt have to drive home at 10 tonight so he will finish at 7 :happydance:

hope were all ok

Oh it's bad here lol!! Haven't measured how many inches of snow we have exactly but we have quite a bit.. Not going to work today!! Car probably won't get out of the cul-de-sac, and even if I can get to work I may not be able to get home as we're on a hill and people seem to have abandoned their cars at the bottom :S Plus my car has no heating (again!) and if I get stranded I may turn into an ice block lol.

Although I need to get in somehow tomorrow as I'm having an early scan on the sly at work on Saturday, and if I can somehow get there for that I need to get to work tomorrow lol. x

ohhhhh congrats on you preg :)
i take it you work at a hospital :)
yeah i dont blame you for not taking your car out i did yesterday and its still stuck :(

Yeah I do lol, being able to get this scan is pretty much the only advantage of working where I do.. Other than that I'm overworked, underpaid, and treated like crap lol.

Ah well, might as well just relax today! x

my cousin is a nurse at barnsley hospital and she says they are the same as in over worked :hugs:

she has been called in today as most of the others cant get in but she has to walk 2 miles

enjoy your day and relax with a nice bath and rubbish tv lol

Im from Yorkshire (Leeds) but I don't live there anymore! I moved to the Midlands about 2 1/2 years ago with my Hubby xx

Hey vixi and MrsKTB, welcome :hi: We managed to get out yesterday  Been in all day today thought, having a lazy day cos Chris reckons the world and his wife will be out shopping today. Managed to get to my scan yesterday and I did stay team yellow . . . for about 20 hours lol, but hubby didn't and he told me. Pud is pink :happydance: :cloud9: Been spending the day drooling over pretty dresses and tights. God, I love baby tights :haha: They're so cute. Hope everyone's having a fab weekend. xx

Its coming far too quickly now :haha:

Isn't it just. Got a full day of shopping ahead tomorrow and hope to get it all done but realistically we wont! Need a new tree too as ours has magically gone missing...

Congrats on your pink bundle MrsB!

How was everyones weekends? I spent yet another day in the hospital with Evie, I seem to be spending a lot of time there lately! Evie's wound on her neck is getting infected and its opened back up so it looks like what the doc said about A-typical tb stopping it from healing was right. The problem I have is that I've been trying to get hold of the doc that did her operation (2 1/2 weeks ago) and his secretaries phone just rings out and he hasn't responded to any of my emails! He rang me to tell me about the a typical tb 2 weeks ago and said he would get her transferred to our local hospital to sort out the aftercare and so far nothing! It angers me that they can do an op on a 3 yr old and not provide any aftercare whatsoever for so long, and now its infected, grrr. So A&E put a new dressing on at the weekend and told me to take her to the GP today to see if he can refer her to someone else, sigh. Sorry a bit of a rant there!

I can't believe its only 19 days until xmas, we haven't got any pressies yet!

EDIT: Just got an email from the dr at last, he's been on holiday. Hopefully he can sort something out soon!

Morning all

:dohh: Magically gone missing?! Hope you get your shopping done. OH is doing most of ours which I am kind of sad about, I got into the christmas spirit doing a little bit on Friday. I shouldn't complain really at least he is doing it!

We have a mini black fiber optic tree this year, not my cup of tea really, its okay but I would of preferred a green tree. We daren't risk getting out the normal tree this year as 'fingers magroo' would have far too much fun with it!

EDIT: Sorry to hear Evie's wound isn't healing properly and glad the doc finally responded! Hope they can sort it soon for her :flower:
