#2 due in March 2016

Hi Ruby! Good luck tomorrow! I haven't had my scan yet, it's not til 3:00 and it's 11:56 as I write this :) Will update ASAP!

Ah I forget about the time difference! So we are really having our scans on the sane day!

LOL! Maybe so :winkwink:

My scan went okay. Apparently I'm dehydrated, so even though I drank 20 oz of water at 1:50 (finished by 2 PM) as directed, my bladder wasn't full, which meant he was hiding in my pelvic bone. Soooo she couldn't get the spinal measurements that she needed (and we couldn't see his boy parts either). So I have another scan scene scheduled in 2 weeks, to finish up the measurements she couldn't get.

So, on the bright side, the measurements she did get were perfect, his HB was 147, and he was definitely active. Oh, and I get another scan, which is nice! :)

Hope your scan goes well!!!

Another scan is always nice Bella!

My scan went well too! They were able to get all measurements and a good look at all his parts! My LO was very active too! I have attached some pics! Can't believe we are halfway! :happydance:

Hey guys. My scan is booked for Nov 11 can't wait. Ruby and bells so nice ur both having boys. I will be finding out but been guessing boy. Well see

somehow got unsubscribed to this thread! got the results from my quad screen today and it was a negative screening, so that's a relief.

my 20 week scan is on november 23rd, feels like forever away!!!

Busybee that's not long to wait!

Jtink, I wondered where you went! Great news about you results xx

Busybee, less than a week! Eeek! So exciting :)

jtink, I've also been wondering where you've been! Glad to hear from you & glad your quad screen went well :)

Sorry if this is a repeat for some of you - I've posted this in two other threads, but I was hoping some of you might have some advice :)

Ladies, my sister in law just gave birth to her baby boy on Saturday! We met him for the first time yesterday - oh my goodness, just makes me so excited to meet my own little boy in 4 short months! I can't stand the cuteness!!!! And my DD was just SO excited - she was crushed that she couldn't hold him!

My sis in law had a really rough delivery - (made me SO upset for her - broke down into tears a few times just hearing about it, and again a few times after seeing her and the baby). Anyway, it also reminded me of my own rough delivery with my DD.... and makes me really feel like I need to get a move on with reading material &/or research.

I'm set on having a natural, unmedicated birth (which I also had with DD) but I'll admit I was MISERABLE during contractions & just wanted an epidural (which I couldn't get because I labored too quickly - but that's not what was rough - afterward was the rough part). Anyway, I really want to go natural again - I know I can do it, since I've done it once before, but I'm hoping to learn some techniques on coping with my contractions, so I'm a little less miserable this time around... as well as anything to keep me from tearing this time around (which is what caused the rough part for me last time around - long story short, I required vaginal surgery, was put out & lost A LOT of blood, requiring 2 blood transfusions...)

Totally open to suggestions if any of you have experienced or read anything you think would be helpful!!!

Hope everyone else is well :flower:

Hi Bella, no help sorry. I am trying to not think about the fact I have to go through childbirth (also had a traumatic birth). I get a small consolation from the fact people tell me the 2nd is easier... I hope you find helpful material out there! xxx

Hey guys. Sorry Bella no ideas. I would like some also. I was induced with dd at 37 weeks due to low fluid and by the time I got to 4 cm I was done with the pain because I had been in the hospital a whole day already. So uncomfortable. If it's quicker this time I would be open to drug free but we'll see.
In more exciting news we had our scan today and everything looks good with baby.
We are team.....
PINK! So will be 2 princesses for us so far. So excited!

Busybee, that's SO exciting!!! Girls are just wonderful, aren't they?? There's nothing like a sister! You must be thrilled!

Thanks for the thought ladies - I think I'm going to go back to reading my Hypnobirthing book (that I never really got into last go round) and hope that gives me some ideas...

Congrats busybee!! 2 beautiful little girls! That's great news!

I've been suffering reflux pretty bad which has been causing me to vomit. Also had a bout of gastro diarrhea which hasn't been nice. Hoping I'm on the mend now! Second trimester has been much harder for me than first tri!!

Oh no! Have you been taking anything?? I had a lot of reflux in my last pregnancy, to the point of almost vomiting. I took Zantac & on the rare occasions that didn't help, a vanilla milkshake definitely helped!!!

I had really bad all-day nausea up until about 15 weeks, so I'm glad to be done with that, but now I have sciatica. UGH! I really overdid it on Wednesday - went Christmas shopping with my mom since I had the day off and was on my feet for the majority of about 5 hours and I DEFINITELY paid for it!!! I was in SO much pain I could barely move/walk! Thank goodness for my pregnancy pillow! I feel like it "fixes me" overnight!

Bella, I hope your back feels better. I definitely remember that from last time and really hurt my back. I hope to avoid it this time.
Ruby, I hope your heartburn and vomiting goes away. O the pregnancy pains!
AFM I think I caught a stomach bug yesterday and dd had fever which dr says is a virus so we're home today in from of the tv. Thank goodness it's the weekend!

hey ladies! i feel like i'm never around anymore. when i was pregnant with my son, i was working and able to use the computer at work. now, i'm constantly going with my son (i'm a sahm), and i feel like i never sit down, ever!

bella, no advice here as i've only had a c-section, and will most likely have another section this time. i might be given the option for a vbac this time, but it depends on how my crohn's symptoms are at that time.

i will give one piece of advice to everyone, though, just because i feel like this is so avoided. there is always a chance to have a c-section, no matter how much planning or reading you've done. even if you don't think you'll ever need a c-section, please just research them and know your options. c-sections are not as terrifying and horrible as some people think, but they're scary because of lack of knowledge about them. my c-section was a wonderful, beautiful experience, and i remember every moment of it. i hope you all get the births you want, but make sure you know all about c-sections, too, just in case. if you have any c-section questions, i'm totally your girl! :)

Busybee I hope you are feeling better soon!

Bella, rest up! Try not to overdo it! Ps good on you for starting your Christmas shopping so early!

Reflux has been horrible but I think it may be improving since I have been sticking to plain, light things to eat.

I have had the painter here yesterday and today, painting the stripes for the nursery and doing the wallpaper for our bedroom- can't wait for it to be finished. Feel like I am getting very organised with bub #2. I'll post pics when I am all done.

Jtink, I agree with you. I am open to whatever is need however could benefit from knowing more about C-sec!

I am not big on making a birth plan (one reason being I don't like to think about the giving birth part) because what will be will be. Everyone is different and I know some people it helps to have a plan but for me it would just increase my anxiety. My OB works in a small group of 4 female OB's- all who I have met through my previous pregnancy, and the roster so I am gaurenteed that one of them will deliver my baby which makes me more at ease since they are lovely and I trust them completely.

Sure jtink, I'm open to knowing more info about options around c-sections. Thanks!

Ruby, maybe consider an after birth plan? I think I'm going to request delayed cord clamping, no eye medicine, immediate skin to skin, immediate breastfeeding, and maybe some other stuff, I just can't fully think of it right now! I was told by a mama in another thread that they can do they baby checks on you rather than away from you too - so I think I want that! Just a thought, if you don't want a plan for the actual birth part.
