#2 due in March 2016

I'm still having a few crampy feelings and SO exhausted. Just hoping to avoid the constant nausea and morning sickness this time around. With my son I was sick for months!

FX for you (and for us all actually!) to avoid MS this time around! Luckily, last time I experienced bouts of nausea, but no actual vomiting. So far this pregnancy has been the same. we'll see though - I know it's early yet!

Hi ladies, can I please join in? I also get very lost in the big group. Being from Australia, by the time I log on in the morning so much has happened it is really hard to keep up!

I have a DS who is 18 months. I completely agree that it is hard to imagine loving the next one as much as the first but I am sure you do! Toddlers are hard work aren't they!

I am feeling a little anxious at the moment. Have a pinching sensation in my right side so went to doctor yesterday who did bloods (should get results today) and have to go back again tomorrow. She is being ultra cautious in case its ectopic (because pinching is on one side).

I am not anxious about birth yet but I am sure I will be. My DS came 5 weeks early and I had forceps and episiotomoy  so recovery was pretty rough. DS also had to stay in the special care unit for 2 weeks which was very emotional.

Only symptoms I have at the moment is the pinching and fatigue which also makes me nervous! Argh pregnancy makes me a nervous wreck! Would you believe I am Psychologist too! Should use some of the strategies i give to clients

Funny what you guys are saying about MS and nausea! I want MS so I feel more pregnant- stupid I know!

Welcome Ruby!

FX that everything goes well for you - I sure hope your bean isn't ectopic! I'm sure the dr is just being careful & you'll be told everything is going great! Maybe round ligament pain? I've already started with that myself... GL & keep us posted!

I know what you mean about symptoms being reassuring!! Food aversions are coming at me more & more, and some nausea here & there, but no MS. (But I'm ok with that!) but my boobs are killing me, especially during breastfeeding, & as much as its AWFUL, it reminds me that everything is probably going well :haha:

I had a traumatic delivery too. It went super quick, unmedicated, and DD was fine (thank God) but I had a hematoma that required vaginal surgery shortly after delivery & was put out. Needed 2 blood transfusions & recovery was long and painful. DEF not looking forward to the postpartum recovery part again! Have you spoken to your dr about the possibility of this LO Being early too? Really hope you don't have to go through that again!

How is everyone else feeling??? Any updates??

Thanks hon! I got blood results back today HCG 5831 which is a good increase from 326 a week ago but she wants me to get more bloods done tomorrow and another app on Friday just to check. But I am feeling reassured. My pain is very mild so I assume/ hope it is just stretching pain.

You birth/ after birth sounds horrible! Poor thing, I hope you have a smooth time this time around. Everyone I know that has had 2 or more babies have had a lot easier births the second time around so here is hoping!

Your symptoms sound great though! Very reassuring! It is hard when you don't feel pregnant! We are both tracking on the same day looking at our tickers!

I will chat about possibility of the new bub being premmie when I have my OB app in a few weeks. At the moment I have just been seeing my GP. I may be a higher risk since my DS was early but who knows. It does worry me though. Having your only baby in Special Care is one thing but would be even worse when you have a toddler to care for also. But I don't like to think about that. What will be will be.

 awesome HCG numbers!!! You must feel SO relieved!!

Awesome! Who knows - maybe we will end up sharing a birth day! You're absolutely right - what will be will be. Try not to worry too much about having this one early :hugs:

Thanks hon! Have doctor app this afternoon to get my last lot of HCG numbers.

Are you having many symptoms yet??

I saw your numbers in the big March thread! That's so awesome Ruby! :hugs:

Yeah, symptoms are starting to pile up :haha:

The worst is my boobs/nipples are SO sore which is killing me when I breastfeed DD. I'm also really tired all the time, food aversions have now crept in (I get hungry, but then everything sounds gross, so it's hard to find something I'm ok eating). I get mild waves of nausea, and I am so emotional & moody - I cry over something at least daily. :haha:

How about you??

Thanks! Yep I am very relieved! Today I had some mild nausea but not much and my boobs have had some pain but again very mild and not constant! I was very tired today and had a short fuse with my DS so will have up try get that sorted. I felt bad. Poor little guy doesn't understand mummy is tired and emotional!

Have you booked in for a scan yet? I'm hanging out for mine on 13/8! Will be so reassuring to see the bean and hear a heart beat. First trimester is so stressful!

We are going away next weekend to the snow with my in laws so I am hoping I don't get suddenly struck down with MS! We will keep this pregnancy a secret until after first trimester so hopefully we can get away with it while we are all staying together for the weekend!

Hello ladies sorry I haven't been on in a while. Toddler + pregnancy is an exhausting combo. I met my midwife yesterday and loved her. I'm really aiming for a natural birth this time so she seems to be on board with that and will do birth preparation classes with me in January! I've also booked my spot at the hospital which has a natural birth wing. So relieved. :wohoo:

First scan date also fixed! 21/08! So excited. I hope time flies!

Ruby I've been short tempered and tired lately too! Really making an effort to control it now!

Wow Bella lots of symptoms! My boobs hurt and I'm tired. Mild nausea but nothing too bad yet. So not a lot of stuff happening!

Natural birth wing?? That's awesome! I went natural last time (to be honest, didn't have a choice - when I got to the hospital I was 9 cm!) but plan to do the same this time. Wish I had a natural birth center to go to! Very cool!

My scan & appointment are both on August 13th too! :) excited!

Whoa! Really? I'd love to hear your birth story!

The section is basically two rooms with some birthing aids. But they don't do unecessary inductions/epidural/episiotomy etc. so I'm hopeful. :)

Apaki, that sounds great!!!

Ok, my birth story.... Don't say I didn't warn you :winkwink: :haha: so I had DD on my due date, after working a full day. Showed up at the hospital (at the wrong entrance after hours - picture pregnant lady in labor puking outside of car, hobbling over & banging on hospital door!) DH drove away to park the car, as I hobbled after him waving for him to come back. We had to drive around to find the emergency entrance. Waited forever for someone to walk all the way down from L & D to walk me up there. They put the monitor on me & got me up on a bed to check me - 9 Cm dilated & too late for an epidural - had her 100% naturally. First very mild contraction was at 6 PM. Delivered at 11:54 PM. Damn midwife had told me to stay home longer bc it would be a while with this being my first. Little did she know... :haha:

That's the good part. I may have had a quick labor, but I had a 2nd degree tear that gave me a hematoma. After birth the midwife took 45 mins to sew me up, just to realize I was STILL bleeding & swelling too quickly in my stitches area. She was reaching up into my uterus and pulling out blood clots and stuff while I screamed & swore at her. Felt like a knife was stabbing into my rectum. Ended up needing vaginal surgery immediately. I was put out for that. Never got to have that warm fuzzy "meet my baby" moment with our parents (mine & my in-laws came straight to the hospital & were in the waiting room when I delivered). My husband got to be the one to announce she was a girl (we were team yellow). I lost A LOT of blood. Wasn't allowed to hold DD unless sitting or lying down. And needed 2 blood transfusions. Was in pain down under for weeks after labor.
