Have y'all ever heard about way back when they used a rabbit to test for pregnancy?

"Around 1927 it was discovered that if you injected the urine of a pregnant woman into a rabbit, there would be corpora hemorrhagica in the ovaries of the rabbit. These bulging masses on the ovaries could not be seen with out killing the rabbit to inspect the ovaries, so invariably, every rabbit died, even if the woman wasn't pregnant. The phrase, "The rabbit died," came to be a euphemism for a positive pregnancy test after the late 1920 and early 1930s."

I'm just glad we don't have to kill innocent bunnies to determine whether or not we are with child- how sad would that be? I bet it would cut down on the number of pregnancy test addictions!

oh i just remembered i get my 10mui tests from ebay 20 for a couple of pound

i will say though some do get evaps with them, superdrug ones are very sensitive and quite cheap.
save the frers there fab but too expensive to keep peeing on each day

Tryforbaby2 - I'm curious about why you were referred to a specialist, I hope you don't mind my asking. You've had a baby with your husband and it hasn't been quite a year that you've been trying for your second, right? I'm holding out for at least a year before I ask a doctor about our first try, but definitely hoping neither one of us have to worry about it because THIS WILL BE OUR MONTH : )

Nessicle- thanks for the info on EPF- that is super interesting.

I'm going to try and hold out on testing until the Friday after Valentine's. My period is due on the 15th and I've been as much as 5 days late since I went off the pill. I hate to be a party pooper but I've taken two HPTs the day before AF arrived and I just don't want to go through that again. I may feel differently next weekend though- we'll see!

Speaking of poopers- I had gas on Tues, Weds, and Thurs which is very unusual for me : ) And slight cramping...

I think I may have mentioned earlier that my DH and I have been NTNP for 4 years. I came off depo provera in Oct 2005 as told by my OBGYN (we orginally wanted a 2-3 year span between kids, but hey I guess you can't plan that!). My DH had a prescription problem for a few years after getting severly hurt in a motorcross accident that placed several screws pins and rods in his body, which in turn could have affected his sperm. I was unsure about getting into all of this information, but then again I guess it doesn't seem to make sense to see a specialist after 6 months ttc. We started charting, planning and all 6 months ago. Also my OBGYN said it seems that I may not be ovulating regularly.

We will see!

morning everyone! how we all feeling today? not long now!!

well I went to the toilet for my morning pee this morning and when i wiped there was pink on the toilet roll, then I went later on and I had some pink tinged discharge! I think I've had an implantation!! I'm pretty positive now that I'm pregnant!

woke up feeling really nauseous and the thought of eating a sausage butty or bacon butty turns my stomach

I've had a bit of a dodgy tummy this morning, cramps which turned in to (TMI ALERT) a good 15 mins on the loo. I usually feel like this when on AF, its actually my favourite part of if as I feel like I have ahad a good clean out! haha

Other than that, no nausea in the mornings, maybe later in evening if any. my right (.)(.) is a bit sore but not much. My CM seems to be keeping its self to its self so Im starting to think I might be out! No sign of any implant bleed.

Im off to get a new hair cut today then seeing some friends tonight! Just ate another HUGE bacon sandwich. I may not be pregnant but I sure as hell am going to look like I am!

awww nixilix!!! I have had a major 'clean out' today lol!

I also had nausea in the evenings leading up to today when I had it really bad this morning!!

Also my right boob is sore too so maybe a good sign for you as well!!

Nessicle I am so excited for you! It sure sounds promising!
Keep me posted on symptoms! I am 3DPO and I feel NOTHING though it may to be soon for me, I am still keeping the positive faith! We are snowed in for my birthday today with a whopping 20" of snow and its still snowing. We are in a snow emergency until 7am monday (two more days!). My sweetheart husband bought me the loves embrace necklace for my birthday and the toy story wii game too! He's too cute!

I've not had any symptoms at all today. I woke up feeling fine. No PMS & no pregnancy symptoms, starting to really think I missed the O or miscalculated it, or that this is going to be the cycle where I have no period for 3 month, which let me tell you really messes with a chicks brain!!

for some women they don't feel anything when they've actually caught on so you never know!! Stay positive hun x

Yeah that's true, I've heard that. I just feel like my body is playing more games, last cycle I had SO many new symptoms I was so excited. I even had midcycle bleeding, which is rare to me. I thought it was implantation bleeding, I really felt pregnant. But then, I had a really horrible period with lots of painful cramping, so I guess I wasn't after all haha.. obviously!!

So then this month I have very few PMS symptoms and it just has me wondering what the heck, not that I mind too much cuz it's usually torture anyhow.
