30-somethings TTC #1 Testing and Support Thread!

maxx and bonjo- :hugs: sorry the witch got you.

Big HI to everyone else. I only have a quick moment since my parents are still at our house. AF still hasn't shown. I'm now thinking I will go ahead and test either tomorrow or Sunday. I don't want to test with my parents here since they don't know that we are trying. I hope all you lovely ladies have a great weekend.

TOTALLY understand that, but oh my gosh.... you must be just on the edge of your seat! When are they leaving?!?!?! :haha: I will be obsessively checking BnB til we hear the news! Please post as soon as is practical! Obviously you should take some time to celebrate if it's good news!

It's looking like good news is on it's way!!

It's been a bit quiet around here today!! Hope everyone is doing well. I took a walk with my dog before it got too hot outside, and since then have been alternating between cleaning and checking BnB! Thinking of making some banana bread.... At least that would get me off of BnB for a while! :haha:

HI Everyone!
Parkgirl I hope it is good news! We'll be eager to hear.
I'm back from a bit of a break. I'm using the clear blue fertility monitor for the first time this month. Is anyone else using this? I never really get full positives with OPKs. Anyway, it has been interesting. I think I'm 3dpo but my temps are all over the place.
Also, not looking great for me this month as we only managed to BD once at two days before O. I think there seems to be pressure around 'peak' days and we actually have a harder time getting in the mood. Weird huh? I'm trying to be relaxed about it all.
ANyway don't mean to blab on.
Hope you've all had a great weekend!

Hey Ladies :flower:

How's everyone doing?

Parkgirl - I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!!! :test:

Squirrelgirl - Ummmm banna bread, I want that now!!!

Well I'm still feeling very excited. Have injection training on 12th July - Can't believe I'm excited about that.....and will start my injections the next day! Have to keep reminding myself that it might not work. It's so difficult getting the balance right between being positive and realistic!

Love to you all...
:hugs::hugs:

I use the CBFM too, I think I might be on the third or fourth month using it (I've lost track!) I do find it very helpful as I never really could tell if my OPKs were positive or not. I like that you use FMU for the CBFM so I don't have to remember to hold it for four hours and not drink much on the days when I want to use the OPKs... Two days before O is in a good time-frame, so don't count yourself out quite yet! :hugs:

Wishing you the best of luck! It must feel good to be trying something new that could help! And I totally get how difficult it is to balance the emotions. Every time I try something new (like softcups) I get a little burst of over-positive thinking.

I hope the training goes well! :flower:

Hello ladies - not been on here for what feels like ages but really just 4 days I think. I got my smiley face on thursday so have been busy :winkwink:

Parkgirl- Ive everything crossed this is sounding good! Put us all out of our misery once you have taken the test!

Had a very lovely weekend. Its been 31 degrees here in London so HOT and Ive been pottering about in the garden in the sun.

Mmmm can I have a slide of banana bread please Squirrell?

Tomorrow is the insurance :sex: and then in the 2WW proper. This month was supposed to be the month according to Jenny Rennie. Hmm. Not sure how I feel about that.

I ended up testing Friday afternoon after my parents left town. Got a quick :bfp: Saturday, DH and I were kind of dazed by the news and spent the day together as normal. Sadly, I lost my little one earlier today. It's been a crazy and emotional weekend. I'm torn between wishing I would have tested earlier and being thankful I didn't have more time to get attached to being pregnant.

Oh park. Huge hugs, hon. So sorry!!! Wish I had some thing more I could say, but I'm not sure there's anything anyone can say.

I am so very sorry. A million :hugs:. The same thing happened to me in April. I tested early and waited to tell my ob and DH after I officially missed AF. 9 days later I started bleeding. It's an awful feeling. The only bright side is that you can obviously get pg and so it will happen again. It still sucks though. :hugs: :hugs:

Thanks love, yep I am doing fine. Hopefully you did O - sometimes it's not always obvious. Will put your testing date down now - good luck!!

So sorry Parkgirl. That's a huge roller coaster of feelings to go through.

I had the same thing happen back in April too. I got an early positive, but then got my AF a few days later. My doctor told me that, despite it being hard emotionally, that it was actually a good sign. It is extremely common and shows that you are able to get pregnant. So, I have faith that you will get pregnant again soon. And next time, it will be a sticky little one! So keep the faith!
