35 and over and ltttc for baby #2 for over 2.5yrs!

Well I'm still keeping everything crossed for you tommy!!

I had AF arrive today so I'm super happy!! Bring on this cycle I say........I am so up for it. Saw my consultant on Monday and we all agreed for us to give 'natural trying' a go for a bit - then maybe re convene the other side of Christmas to look back at IVF. So that should me be done now with hospitals for a while at least!

Braven - you're on AF I think.....hopefully you get a decent cycle this time!

Cookie - congrats on another boy. I'd love 2 boys, I actual think I wouldn't know what to do with the a girl. In reality I'd love 3 boys but obviously I'll take just another one right now!

Bex good luck this cycle, fingers crossed it just takes nature to take it's course.

Thanks for your crossed fingers, tested again this morning BFN, can't decide what is going on. But I do wonder if they have mistook a cyst for a follical either that or I need to find a more sensitive test.

Have you tested this morning Tommy? Superdrug tests are really sensitive and 10 mlu. Took me til I was due my period to get a faint line on a 10 mlu and that is the most sensitive test you can get, was bfn's up til that point so thought I was out. Keeping everything crossed for you.

xxx

Nope not tested today, need to pick up more tests after work.

Tommy I feel for you. This is so frustrating for you.

Today I was told 'officially' that I have PCOS. I have decided that I want to tackle the symptoms, mainly my acne. I have been plagued by it for years. I will see a dermatologist who will give me strong antibiotics. That means no TTC. For now. Maybe 2016 or 2017.

Sequeena I would go down the route of clomid, and see what that does for your hormones, deal with the acne later.

AFM another test BFN, not even a hint of a line, so def not prego. I think it was a cyst they've thought was a follical. However I'm getting EWCM on and off, can't decide if I'm ovulating now or if AF is about to show up.
Will call the clinic tomorrow.
Onwards and upward I've spotted a "make a family" roadshow near me this weekend, 2 IVF clinics that I'm interested in, and a bundle of foster/ adopt agency's. I've just bought 2 tickets. I'm prepared to have a round of IVF and then call it a day.

How aggravating so sorry tommy. Surely they would be able to tell between a follicle and a cyst?? Roadshow sounds interesting! I'll be curious to hear about it afterward.

Sequeena good luck with everything!

Hi cookie glad to see things are moving along well for you.

Hi Bex sounds like you have a good plan. :)

Hi everyone else!

Tommy I'm sorry to hear about all the bfns. I was so hopeful for you. Hopefully next time around is the charm.

Just finished AF and it was relatively mild. I was nervous it was going to be awful because of the long cycle. Thanks to the long cycle, however, I may end up having AF during the cruise! Boooo. I started taking vitex again because the first time I took it my cycle was 29 days.

The detox diet wasn't all that hard Tommy. Actually dh and I are still doing the vegetarian thing and other than having to be creative with ideas for meals, it's not that hard either.

Any news tommy? Did AF finally show?

mwb - great to hear from you, how are you doing?

I've now finished my period and CD9 today so time to start BDing. I think I will do opks this month as haven't don't them for a while, but generally plan is to BD every other day until I'm well past ov. After the op I feel really positive so I'm determined to give TTC a really good go for the next few months.

Braven - are you approaching ov soon?

Hi to everyone else!

Wondering how everyone is doing as well. Not sure if I'm approaching ov as I'm no longer confident that I'm actually ovulating anymore. Blah. I was reading something about StorkOTC the other night. Anyone ever heard of it?

Bex - best of luck for this cycle xxx

Tommy - any news? Did your period arrive?

Brave - no never heard of it, what is it? Fingers crossed you do ovulate xxx

Orchid and sequeena and everyone else, hope you are all doing ok xx

Afm - well I'm in agony with my back, fell over at the weekend, was achy but nothing major but next day my back killed, I've obviously done something to it. Doctor has given me painkillers and just hoping it improves. Need to be less clumsy x

Oh Cookie, hope your back is ok.
Braven I've never heard of Stork otc, what is it?

As for me, still no AF, they have made a mess out of the IUI. I am fairly sure I ovulated last weekend, so AF should be here next week.
I've got an appointment booked with a private clinic to look at IVF. There are too many unknowns with IUI.

Bex: I'm doing well - just busy with work and family. How are you doing? It's fun to have AF out of the way, isn't it?

Oh Tommy, I'm sorry to hear that things aren't going as planned. Fingers still crossed for you!

The stork otc is supposed to be an at home conception aid, similar to soft cups. Not sure if it's just hype though. It's expensive.

Braven at a quick glance on amazon where it gets 3 stars it looks like a device that would assist somebody using donor sperm on the quiet.

Tommy I'm sorry to hear that they messed up your iui, can you get compensation at all?

Hope everyone is doing ok xx

Cookie fortunately the IUI was paid for by the NHS. So at least I'm not out of pocket for it. But its an annoying build up hopes waste of time. But its not worth the hassle of trying to claim the NHS for it.

I'm ready to move on and try IVF even although I will need to pay.

:hi: girls

tommy - I am hoping that IVF does the trick for you... Is it as expensive where you are as it is in the US? the dr quoted my $15,000 - eek :nope:
I hope its not that much and you have the same success as our Orchid!!!:hugs:

braven - never heard of it - but I couldn't bring myself to use soft cups so it probably wouldn't work for me... but I know lots of ladies on here have success stories with it - couldn't hurt to try it!!! Good luck!:hugs:

orchid - hope you are getting better with the MS lady!!! it really has a hold on ya!!! :hugs2:

:hi: cookie, bex, mwb, and all you other ladies!!

AFM: All is well! I have been cleared from my Lap and I have had my first AF... however - my TTC days are done. My husband and I are now separated and I am staying with my mom for a bit with my daughter. I will spare you the details - I wish I could spare myself the details!:haha:
I am truly blessed - I have my two girls and a momma that is making me dinner every night :)
Keep believing ladies - Your babies/future children will happen! I plan on going to Haiti next year and loving on babies at an orphanage there... there's always someone that needs kindness and love right?? :happydance:
