4, 5, 6, or more baby MOMMA'S

Don't know how you all do the activities with new babies! I'm sure I did with my others, but have no recollection. LOL

Typed a big update yesterday, lost it, got mad and shut the laptop down. ha

Ness had her 2 month check today. She's 11lbs 11oz, 22" and almost 15" head which puts her right about in the 50th percentile. Can't beat average. :) Healthy, except for nose congestion, we need to use the saline drops and suck her nose out much more often. (ICK) She's a sort of crabby baby for the most part, but was MUCH worse right at the 8 week mark last week, which is 5 weeks exactly according to her adjusted age, being 3 weeks early. According to the Wonder Weeks, that was her first "Leap". . .and boy did she show it. We had a couple nights of 4-6 hours of sleep at night, she's now back to every 3 hours mostly. She's not taking a ton though, so I'm hoping she'll phase one of those soon.

We're moving across the country in 5 weeks, so things are just crazy. Two of my daughters were here for a week, just left Saturday so we'll be in full on "packing" mode now.

I'm still one hand typing a large amount of time so I'm not able to update too often. When I do have 2 hands, I'm trying to get this joint cleaned and ready to go. I miss you gals though! I'm able to check facebook much easier on my phone, if anyone wants to add me search for Kellie Taylor Lafevor :) I'm going to cross post to the other thread as well, so sorry if you're seeing this the 2nd time. LOL!

Here's a couple pix from yesterday, even with those cheeks, she's average weight? haha :haha:

Thanks ladies, and she pooped lol, last night! So 6 days but as I suspected not a constipated stool.
Won't worry now that she had gone and it been normal baby consistency, just as I thought she must just have little waste just now :)

And her photo shoot went so well!! We were still 4 hours lol but got loads of photos and poses to choose from. I am so excited to see the finished article, she looked so cute in the poses, with wee head bands, tutu and hats lol and she was a total star, helped that her feeding has settled to 2hrly and not every minute of the day I suppose lol xx

My big girl has signed up for her first flat, her first home away from home other than halls of residence in college. All grown up!! Quite excited for her bit also quite sad! Her and hubby are away getting carpets just now.
And I get a nursery for Abi yay!!!! Excited about that aspect definitely lol xxx

Hope everyone else is doing well xxx

Kellie  for average baby!! Way to go J!! I love that book, it has made the biggest of difference for me understanding what is going on. I have more than enough that I am still trying to figure out, so it is very helpful for me!

Donna that is awesome that you were able to get the photo shoot done. Also glad she pooed for you! The things we worry about LOL:haha:

But will need to see what bedding is available/ out there to match first.I don't even have a cot yet lol! Going to try and get a dark wood cot.

Jack and Jill market next week so will see what I can see there. And going to buy lots of girly things too :cloud9:

Kellie- she is such a cutie pie pants <3

Donna- yay for doing up the nursery!! so much fun. how great the photo shoot went smooth this time

So Z had such a great night of sleep. Though as I kept moving away to give him space to breathe I would keep waking up with him snuggled in tight next to me. What a smart stinker. Oooohhhhh and his poops have worked themselves out…. and his thrush is starting to go way. Only problem is I am starting to get it back… I hate that about thrush!

Melissa that is so awesome that you only have 8 lbs to go! WTG girl!!

Wish I only had pounds to go, still stones and pounds here lol

My sister is back in hospital, spent today trying to get to speak to her elusive consultant who is being a complete and utter dick. He tried to say on Monday there was nothing wrong with her and arranged for her to see a psychiatrist prior to discharge. Then she spikd a temp, was rigoring and became really unwell so they had to start IV fluids and antibiotic. Today he tried to discharge her again, after she had seen the psychiatrist!!!! Fucking idiot of a man! Luckily, the nurse fought her corner and said no she should not be discharged, two hours later she had a temp of 39.9C and heart rate up to 160, she can hardly speak and can't walk, body is having weird juddery movements. And he wanted to send her home. I phoned to speak to him, he was to busy, I went up to speak to him but he never showed up. Raging.com !!

Her lupus consultant turned up, totally useless, didn't really know what was happening and her urolgist was to busy to attend the ward, wanted her to go to them!!!

She had been crying for three days, totally draining for all involved, I am totally exhausted, she looks dreadful and her 4yo soon is devastated .

Abi is super and up to 8lb12 from 8lb3 last Thursday, wee chunk! Lol xxx
She is so contented just now, never cries, feeds and sleeps :D:cloud9:

Sacha- I hope you get rid of the thrush completely!! I only have 8 lbs to lose the weight from THIS pregnancy.... but still have 30 lbs to go altogether. I had 3 babies in a row (jaxon, nathon, mason) that only had a couple mos in between pregnancies. so there was not much time to lose the weight. and after having mason I couldn't lose any weight or my milk supply would drop. anyways, im setting small goals so I don't get overwhelmed

Donna- hope your sis gets some better medical help! how horrible :nope:

afm- first bout of mastitis setting in :(

oh donna how awful!! I hope she gets the help she needs!! my theme is similar but more monkeys and elephants and wild animals, ive got some great wall stickers from ebay just waiting for dh to put the room straight like making the cot up etc then il be able to put them up cant wait:happydance:

sacha I hope the thrush clears soon must be so frustrating!!

Donna - I'm glad your sister has a nurse fighting for her. I know it's a national system, but is there any way to change doctors and consultants over there?

Donna Oh your sis is having an awful time of it. I hope she gets the relief she needs. :hugs: Send our well wishes to her, and let her know I have prayed to have a couple extra angels help her through this difficult time!! I am glad though that Abi is doing so well.

Melissa Well if you are going to for this pregnancy I too have about 7-8 lbs left, but I want to get down to a more realistic healthy weight. I would love to be (as I am a small person) a more athletic weight, but that is not very realistic while nursing, like you my milk would drop. I just want to be more comfortable with my body for summer. I am very sorry to hear that mastitis is setting in. That is one thing that I have not gotten with my past experiences, but with all my troubles this time I wouldn't put it past me, but trying to think positive that we are finally getting things right.

AFM I think we are on the honeymoon after a growth spurt. Z is just pleasant and stopped fussing at the breast for the most part. Still does when he wants to suckle and he gets milk and doesn't want any… trying to introduce a pacifier/dummy for those times, just not working all that well, I just want to sleep LOL.

So I need some support right now. DH has been so sweet with me, he very gently has been trying to rouse me for DTD. I thought at first I was just uncomfortable with how I look, which isn't completely true. I finally realized what is stopping me. I have not dealt with the trauma with the PPH. I know it sounds irrational, but I very very scared of anything going near that area. I don't know how to get passed this, as I just feel like crying about it all. DH is trying to understand but he clearly does not understand. I feel like I have lost it.

How long has it been since the hemorrhage? Maybe you could wait the 6 weeks post hemorrhage rather than postpartum?? Talk to him about it and maybe help him out a couple times while you're working through it....and see if that helps you ease into things. Then when you do decide to try, start with something really gentle or no penetration...

Omg Sacha poor you! Sounds like post traumatic stress, talk to your doctor about it hun, they will be able to help, or get you to talk to the right people who do help , sending hugs hun!!

So once again my sister was told she was being discharged from hospital still ill. Two hours at the hospital 'discussing' with, first of all junior doc, then senior house officer before someone mentions the words formal complaint and suddenly the elusive consultant turned up. Up shot is she is having more tests done and will be in at least another 3 days. Crystal she is going to ask for a second opinion from her rheumatologist, so that it's basically changing consultant for that, but whilst in hospital she is under the care of one consultant and there is only one.. Unfortunately he is a liver specialist and admittedly knows little about it urology or lupus.. Oh well!!

Love to all xx

donna- oh my! clearly someone needs to help her that actually can. why on earth are they trying to discharge a sick person??? :dohh:

sacha- I don't think that is irrational at all! you had a very traumatic experience, its bound to effect you. :hugs: I hope DH understands! we just finished a growth spurt as well. think that's why I am getting mastitis. she was nursing a ton for 3-4 days. now she is sleeping a ton and im left with a bunch of milk. I had it a lot with my last baby. think im just one of those women who is more prone to get it. im working on it today though and hopefully I caught it in time. I really don't want antibiotics!

Melissa what makes you think mastitis vs just a plugged duct? I get plugged ducts every once and awhile, but they are usually the ones on the very out skirts of my breast. They feel like they pop then the pain goes away after. They make my letdown even more painful than usual.

Ok so now that I am moving around a lot more I have been noticing what I need to work on muscle wise. My back is very sore and also I feel that the spd is back. My symphilis bone feels like it is still moving.

I need to know Donna what things can I do to get that in check!!

As for my back I obviously know that I need to get working on my abs. I just need to get back out walking…. only if the weather would smarten up so Z and can get out there!!

Sacha I done Pilate's from 6 weeks pp, that really helped. It is mainly strengthening the core muscles. My physio offers a pp course but I found a pre natal Pilate's course online was just as good and not to difficult to begin with xx try searching you tube, make sure it is prenatal or postnatal and preferable a physio or midwife led one xxx

My back is sore too and my hips are clicking and just feel out of place, trying to walk a bit more every day but tend to overdo it and then just feel sore lol.... So don't over do it!

I am going to see our newborn photos today!! So excited!! Cannot wait to see them all. We get 5 in the package my sister bought us, but he took lots more poses than 5 lol, could get expensive haha. But then, how many will we actually display? Don't want to end up with a drawer full of pics but don't want to miss out on any cute pics either lol!!!

xxx

How are all you other gorgeous mummies and babies today?

thanks Donna. I will look into that.

Z has been sleeping so much better lately. He is still scooching towards me and I keep moving away and pushing poor DH, if there wasn't a wall on his side of the bed he would have fallen a few times now. I just have to keep moving Z away in hopes I am not cramping DH too much.

I think we have fixed the over supply of milk. I am feeding him on the left first thing in the morning when we get up, right from lunch until supper, and then left again until bedtime, then only on the right all through the night, which is now only maybe once or twice.

As for the thrush well I thought we had it gone and then my nips started to burn again, and started to turn red. At least the GSE works well for me, I guess I missed the back of Z tongue, but I couldn't reach it as his tongue always curled every time I washed it out. Oh well we are on Diflucan.

Wow this is the first time in a long time I have had a bad headache like this too. I don't think I drank enough water. Guess I know what I will be doing today LOL

Ok this last week has been absolutely crazy when it comes to my hunger. I am have not been able satiate myself at all. Before this I would at least be able to eat and feel full. I am trying to eat more protein and veggies to help but nope not helping. I am so hungry I feel like I will waste away. :nope: Anyone else get like this. I have been reading and it seems to be normal to hungry all the time, but I am starving all the time. :pizza::icecream::help:
