Nah...only had one in my life and that was when I first became active...just the start of a wacky period the acupuncturist said. I go twice a week till this AF is done then she will hopefully bring on a strong AF!!

I've had very good luck with acupuncture. I went over two years with no period due to pregnancy and then chemotherapy. My cycle just didn't come back after that. I went to acupuncture and the next month I got a period! I was just telling a friend today that I'm going to start acupuncture again. I'm hoping that my acupuncturist can help me bring down my FSH levels so I can ovulate. Until (and unless) my FSH level comes down my doctor says I won't ovulate or have a period. Menopause already??! I just can't accept that yet.

Oh I hope you have much luck with Acupuncture, I go back on Thursday and cannot wait! Did you continue it once pregnant? That is where I am not sure if I will continue...

I did not do any acupuncture when pregnant. I only used it to get my cycles going again so I could conceive.

I hope all you ladies have a wonderful Christmas, we woke up to a surprise for our Christmas! I took a Clearblue Digital Advanced, the one that estimates the weeks and it said Pregnant 1-2 weeks! I took one December 1st, it was negative. 2 weeks ago my levels were at 13. From my research you have to be at least 25 to get a positive for that test so I am going to try to get an emergency scan tomorrow!

Regardless if we are pregnant or not Friday will be 9 weeks from the Miscarriage. I am interested to see if we are though!

My understanding is 1-2 is is 25 to 200. Are you taking any basic pregnancy tests where you can monitor progression the darkness of the line?

I have none as I was not checking anymore. I just wanted to check it as I am going to acupuncture and really wanted to make sure that didn't harm anything and said well its Christmas, lets give this a shot! lol I am in shock....I really can't believe it!

If I had a negative on December 1st do you think this could be a false positive?

Two scenario's pop into my mind.

Good scenario: the spotting around 19th/21st was implantation bleeding and this is a new pregnancy. It seems a lot for implantation, but if you've not had a "clear out" with AF certainly possible. Average time for implantation 9 days, but a range of 6-12 day, which fits in with a 1-2 today.....Does that also fit in with any possible ov signs, BDing?

Bad scenario: a very very small piece of tissue was left behind. I'm gonna assume (and think I remember reading) you've had a scan that showed empty womb, so it would be a really small bit. But that could potentially cause the earlier spotting and if it was able to increase in size (not sure if possible??) then it could increase hCG levels a bit.

I had some signs of ovulation but played them off like it was not that as I thought, you want this so of course it won't happen. I had post nasal drip like crazy on the 15th and was BD a lot the whole week prior to that. Then on the 16th Rush of CM that was brown/yellow. That day I also had a pinching feeling in my vagina which I thought was weird but I thought hey, you may be getting your AF finally! Then I kept getting this peachy brown discharge when I wiped.

HCG was 43 on November 27th, 15 on Dec 14th. I had a negative CB digi on December 1st but again I am being cautious with all this. I just went to the toilet and there was a lot of CM that looked like my mucous plug is forming (guess there).

I did have a scan two days after I took the medication to clear myself out, Doctor said all clear.

I so want this to be a new pregnancy...just because the doc said all clear doesnt always mean your totally cleared out..could have been small bits not able to be seen that is causing this and the spotting and what not...
but then it could just be a very brand new pregnancy which im praying for you that it is, i just dont want ur heart broken especially after all you just went through..

Ok so waited an hour and half for my appt but I got in there and saw my doctor. They had me do a urine test then the doctor did an internal as he said sometimes the cervix can show signs of pregnancy, depending on how far along you are. I told him if I am pregnant I am no more then 3 weeks but he said that is what he could do at this point so he did the internal....He said to get bloods done today and again on Saturday. He went over and looked at the test and said, "I have a negative here but if you got a positive on a digital test well that is hard to get a false positive on. You have me stumped". Yeah, you and me too doc I felt like saying!

I said, "Could it be ovulation picked up" he replied No.
I said, "Could it be an impending AF?" he replied No.
I said, "Could my HCG be fluctuating that high from the Miscarriage and his reply was, "You should be testing negative and no HCG at this time should be picked up."
I went on to say, "Well do you think it is left over HCG?" He then replied "I think we need to get to the bottom of the hormones, either we may need to see if we have left over product or hun you are expecting but with out FMU or Betas I just don't know."

So there it is girls. I still have no clue.

I can say this I am OK either way. I mean, I want to be pregnant. I want a child for our family and honestly want this for my husband. I just know I cannot do Disney in my second trimester, I would be a mess there. If I am already pregnant I think we may put off a vacation, again, for a second year in a row. So we are doing the wait and see. I just did my bloods....

I can say this ever since the internal I am cramping very low....reminds me of period cramping. I have NO idea what that is about!

Hi ladies here is an update on me!

So the doctor called back, my HCG is at 2!!! He said, "I have no idea how that digital became positive, this is a negative amount." He said he was concerned that my period has not returned after 9 weeks, and if it doesn't return in two weeks to contact him for a full blood panel on my hormones. He said he can see if I ovulated through it? I said, NO, I am doing that now....I mean it has been 9 weeks!

So Tuesday I go for a full blood panel. I am hoping it will give us some answers....I have had period cramping but it never amounts to anything? I have nothing, last week I did have that weird spotting....The doctor said that might have actually been my first period.

So I in turn called Clear Blue and told them that I have proof that a 2 set off their weeks estimator and what a cruel, cruel reality that is. Oh and she confirmed with me, they can detect levels of 10 miu! I always thought it was 25!!!

They are refunding me all my money but wow...what a year this has been. I am hoping my AF returns in the next two weeks since I believe once you hit 0 then AF comes about 2 weeks after, right?

Thanks for going on this journey with me girls....at least we can plan a vacation, I think. I am going to ask the Specialist on the 15th if we can definitely travel if we do become pregnant....if he agrees we can than we already planned it for either the first two weeks of April!

How unbelievably cruel.

My understanding is that after you hit zero your hormones should take over and either you ovulate or get an anovulatory AF.

I really hope you are back on track soon. I felt I coped well with my miscarriage to begin with because I "could just get pregnant again", but the reality of messed up hormones and a very long cycle meant I felt broken and that was almost harder to cope with than the loss itself.

Hopefully you get some answers from the bloods on Tuesday.
