I think The Story of O breaks more taboos ... it's a lot harsher and the main character isn't quite so ... wet (no pun intended )

I found Ana quite irritating if I'm honest - as a PP said, all those 'Oh My's got on my nerves

Another book dealing with similar subject matter is Eleven Minutes by Paolo Coehlo, which I really enjoyed

I went and bought it from Asda and started reading it while lo was having a nap, I can see myself getting drawn in already. Looking forward to reading it later when boys are in bed

I read all 3 books in 5 days! I couldn't put it down but when i'd finished them i still wanted more. One of the best books i've read in a long while!

I hope they do the films all separate as well because trying to put all 3 books into one film would just squash it all together and wouldn't be as good i don't think.

I finished the 3rd book last night (6 days after starting the first) and Im absolutely gutted it's finished,the "fifty shades of Christian" at the end was amazing and when el James write "that's all.....for now" I'm praying she does another one.im starting them again at the weekend xx

Im on my second time round read!!!! wooohhhooooo im addicted cannto get enough and i pray she brings 1 out from Christians side of it all...The final part of book 3 has got me wanting more!!!
Excellent cannot wait for the film like a other posters said lets hope its a trilogy set in dvds aswell xx

There was a feature on the news in my area about how some libraries aren't going to carry the books because they consider them "pornographic"...

It was being tastefully debated because it could be put in the romance novel section I personally see no difference!

All of the women who gave their opinion said to allow the books.

I saw that.imo yes there is alot of sex but isn't there always at the beginning of a good relationship? After the first book and loving the love story beneath the sex,the other two books didn't seem out of the ordinary,it's there love story that captivates u and I just kinda read the sex scenes like the rest of the story,they didn't seem pornographic at all,it seemed to fit well with how their love was developing xx

Reading this thread has made my day! I'm about half way through the first book (Ana has just graduated), so I don't think i've reached the really naughty stuff yet I'm taking my time, I just know i'll be devastated when i've read them all.

Ian Somerhalder is absolutely my Christian. If they cast Robert Pattinson, I will refuse to watch it. I wouldn't have even cast him as Edward, no way sexy enough! What about Michelle Trachtenberg for Ana??

I've been reading it as much as I can. To be honest, I thought it was going to be a lot more graphic. Granted, I have a good friend who used to work in a "dungeon" and it takes a lot to shock me. It is entertaining to me though. I really wish the roles were reversed though. I would rather read of a woman in a dominate role.

only if he actually looked like he does in this picture though. in the twilight films they made him less hot in each film by cutting his hair. in breaking dawn i actually found him ugly cos it had all gone!
