8 weeks or less and here we come baby!:)

So I was at the physio today (turns out I do in fact have SPD :dohh:) . Anyway, she was talking about pelvic floor exercises. I explained to her that I havent really been doing them because I was previously doing them wrongly (i.e when I did them my sphincter muscles tightened as well and Id heard on BNB that that means you arent doing them right as you should only feel them at the front.) Anyhoo, she says its perfectly fine to do them like that so I just thought Id share incase anyone else thought that you werent meant to feel it in your bum too. They are soooo much easier to do that way. Ive been practising since i got home! .....and squeeze!!

Aww u poor thing, sorry to hear you have spd. Hope the exercises work. Hehe...as for pelvic floor exercises, I thought I was doing them wrong too...so that helps a lot xx

Are pelvic floor exercises another name for kegels?

OH and I are going to make a start on the perineal massages in the next couple of weeks :haha:

Sorry about your SPD chum, it can really hurt a lot of the time :(

Thats ok. Thanks hun. Ill be fine. OH is a bit pissed as they have said Im not to clean the bathtubs or hoover and I need my shoulders massaged twice a day after heat has been applied (3 of my vertibrae have popped out ) (He is in charge of hoovering anyway but pissed that he has to take over the bath cleaning and massaging too lol )

Yes same thing hun.

Re. perenial massage - Ive told OH he will need to do it for me as I dont think Ill be able to reach my foof by then. He just had a look of horror when I started explaining it to him. He asked if he needs to wear surgical gloves... WTF!! (you dont have to start them till 36 weeks though do you?...or are you just starting early for the sheer fun of it! ;) )

Lmao we are just starting early... very early! TBH and tmi but it would take me to start early  MW said best to start around 34 weeks but opinions vary :) I think OH is terrified to start haha :dohh:

basically it's these wee exercises we can do to help stretch the opening a bit lol so the chance of tearing is apparently lower x

Hee hee.

Its massages you do to your foof so that you minimise your risk of tearing/episiotomies during birthing process. x

Morning all!
I'm sure my baby has gone transverse  He was head down, then flipped back up, and I think now he's acrossways lol. I wish he'd make up his bloody mind.

Pinklightbulb, how can you tell? Mine moves about lots but I cant tell if he is staying head down or not. Do you just know from feeling your tummy?? xxx

Here is my latest fat picture (in the comfiest yet most unflattering pyjamas ever!!....)

Hi Sunshine!!

I know now which way my baby is from his/her Kicks!! If I am getting "Bubble Kicks" (as I call them) down Low the Baby is Breech and then I'll get them up high or to the right (in a lot of cases) and that means babs is head down! I don't remember baby ever being Transverse as I think that I'd feel very wide and stretched or very Uncomfortable and I think I'd remember that!!!
HTH.............

Thanks Claire and welcome to the thread!!

My kicks are mainly on right just below my ribs or in line with belly button but sometimes they are lower (although I think thats punches). Baby was head down at last midwife app so hopefully it will stay there but good to know how to tell the difference so thanks!

Just watched OBEM. What a mature young couple that was. I didnt cry this week which is the first time ever!! x

I just watched it too. I've got 10 weeks to go as of tomorrow....and DH was stunned to see how our lil bubs must look right now. Its so reassuring when you see babies born so early do so well. They did seem like a nice couple too. Gonna be lost when the series ends x
