After the BFP...TTC #1 "Graduates"

Great news that all looks perfect Moni! I can't wait to see your scan pic!

I am already worried about mixing them up even if they aren't identical, sometimes they look a lot alike as newborns.

You need to put tags on them! This a fear my husband & I have talked about if we were to have twins.

I joked before about getting them tattoos, impossible for them to switch on me! Actually I read a lot of people put nail polish on the big toe of one twin...my luck I will forget which twin I put nail polish on! :dohh:

Any news on your grant? I have my fingers crossed tight!

FYI - Hubby's mom was always able to tell the 2 apart, hubby's dad on the other hand...still gets them confused sometimes!

Here is the pic...

Supposedly hear tomorrow. We will see...

Hi ladiies!!

Savvy, sorry your hubs is out of the country. That does stink!! My hubby works late a lot and it gets lonely sometimes, but I am grateful he's home every night. Hopefully this week flies by for you. I was cracking up about the "firing up your oven" comment. So were you leaning toward more kids and he only wanted one? Fate has its own ideas I guess!!

Oh my and you guys talking about twins getting mixed up and switching reminds me of The Parent Trap. When I was a kid, I loved that movie and watched it over and over... yes, the one with Lindsey Lohan:dohh:. It's one of my guilty pleasures. I even DVR'd it a couple of weeks ago to watch again. It just makes me feel good! LOL

Oh, Beagle, I will be thinking about you tomorrow. FX for good news on the grant!! But...I'm super excited that you will be going forward either way and getting your BFP very very soon! It's about time you join us over here permanently!! :hugs:

Moni that's so exciting!! It felt so nice to go back to my regular doctor. I was like, "After all that hassle, all is well!! I'm just a normal pregnant lady now!" Love your sweet little bean picture! It's getting to look like a little human now! :D

AFM just waiting for my NT scan tomorrow. I'm so excited to see little munchkin again! Hopefully they get me a good nub shot too, so I can bug the gender guessing ladies! :D Wish my DH could come, but I made the appt pretty late, so he couldn't clear clinic. Oh well! I'll bring him pictures :happydance:

So cute Moni! Look at those little limbs!

Sarah, so excited for your scan tomorrow! I will keep my fingers crossed that they are able to get a good nub shot and lots of pics!

Actually, when we decided to have children we agreed we would start with one and see how everything went, including the pregnancy. I was happy with the thought of at least one child even though two sounded good to me. I am an only child and preferred to have a sibling for my child. Well I guess we didn't have to decide! We are both thrilled with twins, even though we are still a bit scared of the first year with two newborns. I am beyond excited for girls but a little bummed that my hubby won't have a boy. We are for sure done and stopping with two little twin girls - a family of 4 sounds perfect to me! :)

I love The Parent Trap! Such a cute movie! I watched it a couple of months ago, I can't remember if I knew I was pregnant with twins yet.

My husband usually works 10 hour days and travels quite a bit in the summer months so I am used to the drill, but I still don't like it! I try to go with him on business trips, but not international trips. Actually I have been a bit lazy this week with my hubby gone. I don't have to fix meals or clean up much. I have my own business and work out of my house but when I found out I was pregnant I started cutting way back on business and will work very part time once the twins arrive. I don't have any work to do this week so I am being totally lazy by watching movies and finishing up my registry. It helps pass the time while my hubby is gone!

Okay ladies...here are today's pics!! My tech was pretty sure of the sex!! I'm amazed, shocked and thrilled!!! (Which I would have felt either way...but I'm definitely more surprised with this result!!)

Sarah, such cute pics! I think I have to agree with your tech looking at the nub shot. So exciting to get a sneak peek at the gender! :)

Did you post it in the gender prediction forum?

One more day and my hubby will be home! I have spoiled myself this week and it seems to have helped the days pass. A lot to look forward to when he returns, like starting to paint the nursery and get everything ready for these two babies to move in!

Thanks Savvy! I sure did! Here's the thread: https://babyandbump.momtastic.com/gender-prediction/2237951-12-4-crotch-dangle-come-geniuses.html
So far everyone says boy boy boy! If that nub shrinks into little girl parts, it will be the surprise of the century!

Aww...spoiling yourself sounds like a great way to make the time pass! How super exciting to be painting the nursery and getting everything ready. You're over halfway there now!!! Yay!

Sarah, wow everyone on that thread agrees it is a boy! From my research I would be very surprised if it was a girl, because of the angle of the nub.

So it looks like both Suzy and Sarah are probably expecting boys. Plus Allison is expecting a boy.

I am all alone here expecting two girls...I can't wait to find out what Moni is having!!

Moni, are you going to find out or stay team yellow?

Amy, are you still following along? Hope all is well with you.

I will be finding out via blood test in a coupleofweeks...definitely not teamyellow here. hubby really really wants a girl...so we'll prob have a boy!

Hey ladies, sorry I haven't updated lately. I've been "resting." I started having some spotting earlier in the week and went into my dr. She said everything looked fine and just to make sure it didn't turn into full fledged bleeding by resting for a while. So, I've been enjoying the naps and tv time. Lol. Other than that, the shower on Saturday went great. More people came than I thought would and we got some good stuff. Just need a few more things and we'll be set. We had a piñata and no silly games so it was a good time. It was co-ed so it was couples that came and more of a party than a shower; it was a lot of fun. And tomorrow we're having another 4d ultrasound just to see this little guy one more time before he comes, so I'll be sure to post a pic for y'all! : )

I hope everyone is still doing great!

Yeah I'm officially slightly crazy I think. I've signed up for two other sites just so I could ask the ladies on those forums about my little guy!! Haha! I have yet to get a girl response! Savvy, I agree...your ladies need some girlfriends! :) Maybe Moni will "deliver" for you! (sorry not sorry for the pun!)

Moni, that's so awesome that you will know at 10 weeks! So exciting! But don't be so sure that your DH won't get his wish. I was convinced that I was having a girl. Partly because growing up it was just me and my sister, and now she has a little girl, so that just seems natural. But beyond that, I was thinking the same way you were. DH would really like a boy as the first, and so I was sure I wouldn't be giving him one! Ha! Joke's on me!

Here's my little chubby cheeked baby... : )

So sweet Allison! It's amazing how well you can see his face! :D He's a cutie!

Hi ladies :winkwink:
I had to travel for work this week and just got back. I just caught up with the thread.
Congratulations Sarah!!! I believe your nub is more visible and obvious than my baby's. Hopefully we'll know in 3 weeks. You're having a boy! Yay :blue: And to answer your question, my mother is Portuguese O:)
Savvy how is your bump in the meantime? Does it already scream "twins"? O:)
Allison seems like you had a great shower. Do you feel OK or do you have any annoying 3rd trimester symptoms?
Moni I'm so glad everything is working out so well for you. It must seem surreal after all LTTC right? That's how I feel sometimes.
xxx

Suzy - it definitely is. Still very cautious - but taking it day by day.

Allison, the 4D ultrasound is awesome! Such a cutie too. Sorry to hear about the spotting but I am glad everything looks okay and you are able to relax and take it easy for a bit. You are so close to your due date, I am getting excited for you!

Sarah, that is too cool that everyone agrees "boy"! Is your hubby excited?

Suzy, glad you checked in! It will be exciting to see the results of your 20 week anatomy scan. I have definitely popped out a bit in the last 2-3 weeks but I totally don't think it screams "twins" yet. I have gained about 6-8 pounds and desperately trying to gain a bit more...we will see what the doctor thinks at my appointment next Monday. I am going to try to take a bump pic later this week, I will try to remember to post it here.

Moni, that is great you get to find out so early! It will be exciting to find out your little ones gender too! :)

Busy long weekend, we went to my parents lake house like usual. I don't really go online there so I have lots to catch up on! I have another ultrasound with the specialist and an OB appointment next Monday - I am looking forward to that! :)

Hi ladies! Sorry haven't posted or responded...I've been running around!! Tomorrow we are leaving for California to attend my cousin's wedding. I'm staying a week, but DH will have to come back Sunday for work. My sister and her family are coming with us, and we get to take my 3 year old niece to Disneyland! She is so excited! I also will have a chance to tell all my extended family on my mother's side. It will be wonderful. Hope you all do great while I'm gone and look forward to catching up in a week! Hugs!
