im due jan 21st with my forth baby had bad ms this time all day had to get injection to stop it, its eased of now comes back an odd morning. i went for 20 week scan and the scan machines all broke but got a call to go back the next day had scan done everything was fine. couldnt find out the gender cause baba wouldnt let us see so have to wait now till november which is ages away. all ive got is 2 babygros.

Hi girls. I'm due on January 25th with my 3rd baby, my first with my husband though. My scan is next Thursday too so there's a few of us. I'm planning on a home birth this time as my first 2 were really quick, in fact, my daughter was born at home but not through choice!! I was a bit unprepared if I'm honest. I'm hoping that planning this one will make it a little more enjoyable. Looking forward to sharing experiences with everyone. xxx

Hello liz, your due the same day as me I too am thinking of having a home birth but am a little worried that the midwife wont make it on time for me. Can i ask ? I assume that you had no pain relief if you DD was born at home unexpectedly. How was it ? Although i have only ever had gas and air during birth i can't imagine not having something just to take the edge off of the pain at the end I'm a little worried lol.

I'm due January 24th with my first. My scan is on Wednesday and we'll be (hopefully) finding out blue or pink - everyone so far seems to think blue!
So far all I've bought is a breast pump and a box of baby wipes from the Asda baby event. My Mum bought me my lovely Quinny which I've set up in the dining room and refuse to put down! She'd saved up £100 in Tesco vouchers so we got them doubled up in the recent offer to get £200 off!
MS has died down now, thank god, but I still feel a bit sicky if I don't get the tea on early enough in the evening. Only ailment at the moment is dizziness, I can't even stand up in the shower! I must look a right weirdo sitting in the bath with the showerhead pulled right down. Thankfully OH loves me for my strangeness! Getting properly hormonal at the moment too - I cried the other day because OH used the bacon I'd bought to put in some pasta sauce. I know I'm being ridiculous though cos it's half crying half laughing at myself!

Hello peonies, lol the hormones oh my god they are a killer. I keep going bright red when i talk to people it's a nightmare I find myself avoiding people in the shops. It even happens when I'm talking to my DH.
Dare a man say hello to me and I'm all of a fluster. This is not like me at all

Wow what a saving on the quinny. I have a mamas and papas pramette. It was on ebay almost brand new and just £200.00. It is still in the box though i will get it out later in the week and have a good look. I am a pram o hollick so it probably wont be my only pram

Don't know whether the January Jellybeans thread has been mentioned already but it was set up for Jan due dates but was moved with all the other "month" threads to the Groups discussion so there are more there with Jan due dates...

At the moment my only real pain in the a** is suffering from a hideous cold!! which just seems wholly unfair when I have a little bub to cook in my belly!!

I'm also suffering with my back - I find that I have days where I can't do any housework so I let it pile up and then do it all in one go which then exhausts me and seizes my back up... but do I learn?

We are team yellow but desperate to know the sex, how are you all doing for names? we have a shortlist on both sides but nothing firm yet... anyone willing to share?

We or should i say i lol have been thinking about names. I like Isla for a girl and Jasper for a boy. There are many others that i like but these are my favorites lol. How about you, do you have any names yet ?

Hi again!! I managed with little or no pain relief with both of my kids. I tried gas and air with my son but it made me feel really ill. Labour with him was only 3 hours after being induced anyway!! With dd I think my body just really took over. I woke up in advanced labour, not sure how I slept through the beginnings of it to be honest!!! Within an hour she was born. I think I was in so much shock that I didn't really know much about what was going on, I don't really remember feeling any pain. I'm hoping this next one goes as well!! I did it on my own as by the time I had called an ambulance it was a bit late for anyone to arrive. The midwife turned up about an hour later.

I was actually really pleased to find out that my body could do what it was supposed to do without the need for intervention. I was more scared about needing help after being induced with my son.

I there im due 6th Jan...with my first mircale...but doctors said we will most likely give birth early..so I had a stitch put in and on bedrest for now..Its so funny how time flies when being pregnaant and I feel attatched already!! I cant wait till Januarary when all of us ladies will be in the new mummy's side asking all sorts of questions!!! and praying for more sleep

I have pretty much got everything finished and together..the nursery is finished..except one of two minor things..even the painting on the wall is done..with her name on the wall..so we even have the name set in stone...
The only things we havent got so far are clothes..just waiting to see when she arrives to see what size we need..we do have about 10 babygrows and 2 early baby outfits just incase.

Just wanted to say about stuff you bought...we've got most stuff being given to us by friends etc like the cot and bits but me and OH went to three car boot sales this weekend and OMG we spent £40 in total (maybe buys 3/4 outfits in mothercare) and we must have well over 100 outfits!

There were so many bargins, so many brand new or hardly used, brilliant brands like mothercare, john lewis and disney... now we have all the staples like vests, baby grows (and some cute little dresses) spanning from newborn to 12 months!

The good thing about car boots is you can see where the stuff is coming from and some of the ladies were so lovely and willing to do deals if you bought in bulk! We're currently washing all the stuff and it all looks brand new! I totally recommend car boots! Especially if you think how long the babies are actually in them!

There's also a site, not sure if its just my area, but its like ebay but free.. You just put an add up for what you want, eg: Baby bouncer, and someone hopefully gets back to you saying they have one and when can you pick it up its great, my dad even got a car on it haha it helps the environment instead of going to the tip you can just give it to a welcome home

Hi there everyone

Having my first baby, due 23rd Jan. Had pretty nasty MS and the nausea still hasn't completely gone away but at least I'm not throwing up anymore. I think despite the nausea, the aches and pains and other general annoyences, I am really loving being pregnant! Baby kicks loads, probably gonna be a hyperactive kid!

Had a scan done at nearly 19 weeks but was told it was too early to do the proper measurements so I get to have another scan later on, but also to check on the cyst on its brain but I've decided that cysts are normal enough and I won't worry. Will just be glad to see baby again and hopefully find out for sure what the sex is and the cord was between the legs at the scan. But I was told maybe its a girl.

Only bought a few clothes I saw for cheap in a second hand shop, and an ear thermomoter but leaving other purchases til later.

Hi Natsku, Awww how nice that you get to have another scan I hope everything goes well at the next one. I think cysts are quite normal it may be that it's gone by the time you have your next scan Fingers crossed. The nausea is a pain in the backside i hope it leaves you alone very soon I am definitely going to start shopping next week after my scan. I can't believe how organised some of you are Let us know how your scan goes and if you are indeed having a little girl.

I've been so lucky with the maternity care here, they are very nice and have really new equipment, even got to see my scan in 4D
Yeah I hope it'll be gone too, I'm sure it will.
