Any PCOS ladies want to chat?

Hopefully stopping the inositol will give you a normal next cycle if no BFP this cycle, cookie. It's disappointing when you hope something will help you and it doesn't seem to in the end!

Today is actually CD 30 instead of yesterday and I got a positive OPK finally! I guess all the EWCM I've been having is indicative of upcoming ovulation. We BD'ed last night and will today and tomorrow at least as well, but may go an extra day for good measure. I'm not feeling terribly optimistic considering how late O is happening but it's worth a shot, anyway.

I have finally managed to get myself back on the weight loss bandwagon! In the last 2 weeks I've lost 4 lbs, so I'm happy about that! I also just started the 30 Day Shred. I could stand to lose 30-40 lbs! But my first goal is 6 lbs by my birthday on the 26th.

Don't let the fact that you o'd late get you down Wanting, every o gives you a good shot ;) Fx!

I'm only in my second cycle off the pill so for the moment I'm still kinda regular. The pill always has this positive effect on me, it's only a few months after I stop that things go haywire. So I'm hoping to get my bfp before that happens. Last time I came off the pill, I was regular for a couple of months, then got served with a 150 day cycle :s

I mostly started the inositol hoping it would help me lose some weight as that always helps my cycles as well. But so far no results at 1 month in. As I have a sweet tooth, I started up on the no sugar approach as well. 3 days in. I'm interested to see the results of your 30 day shred Wanting, good luck!

Wanting - Yes don't let late ovulation make you think you don't have a chance, I was thinking the same, so asked on an fb group and 3 or 4 different women replied all of which ovulated past cd 30, one ovulated cd 50 off and all have babies from those long cycles.

Eline - yes definitely weightloss does help, it's the reason I conceived my son, as I had lost 4 stone when I fell pregnant (56 lbs). I'm about 5 lbs above the weight I was when I fell pregnant, have lost 30 lbs to get there, and am still going down although slowly.

I'm 7 dpo today, not a lot going on apart from being extremely hungry and slightly nauseous...not unusual for me, happens every now and then so not going to think it means anything. Boobs aren't sore or anything, I do have some cramps though and have had them since 4 dpo...could be my ibs though, that causes me to have pelvic pain and its hard to tell whats causing it.

xx

Thanks Eline and Cookie! We BD'ed at the right times so keeping my fingers crossed!! I'm hoping to stay more relaxed during this 2WW than I have previously, and not start testing early!! I hope to be able to just wait and see if AF arrives, and then if not, test. I'm a notorious POAS-aholic though.

Cookie, hoping for a BFP in a few days for you!!

Eline, hopefully your cycles will stay regular so you can get that BFP! Yikes, a 150 day cycle!! That's crazy. I had a 200+ day cycle myself, back when I was TTC #1. Then I bled for a month after I finally started! It was horrible.

Good luck wanting, fx for you! I'm 10 dpo today, but planning to stay strong and will only test if I'm late, my af is due on Saturday, so if it doesn't come I'll test Sunday/Monday. I have been known to have a 15 day lp (ok only once) but still there is a small chance that it could arrive on Sunday, therefore I'll try and wait til Monday. If I had tests in the house then I wouldn't be able to resist testing, but I think because in order to test I'd need to go to the shop to buy one I can resist.

Not a great deal going on with me, only noteable things are the fact that I'm ridiculously hungry all the time and I'm tired, like could fall asleep where I'm sitting kind of tired. I usually have sore boobs about a week after I ovulate, but my nipples have just started getting a tiny bit sore, but not much at all, very unusual. Thats about it really, I still check my cm every now and then, I have creamy almost jelly like cm, struggling to remember what my cm is usually like at this point, so dont know if its unusual for me.

I'm sitting at home working (ok I'm on b&b right now but work is in the background) and I really could just sleep where I sit!! Maybe if my son slept past 6am I might not be so tired, think it sometimes catches up with me.

Cookie, that sound promising. Fx!

afm - I'm at cd 17. Last month I had a positive OPK today, with ovulation on cd19, but today my OPK was negative. Seems like my cycles might already be getting longer?

Hoping the witch stays away for you Cookie! The hunger/exhaustion sounds very promising, hoping they turn out to be symptoms and you get a BFP soon!

Eline, I hope you get a positive OPK soon! It can be frustrating when you have irregular cycles, not knowing when to expect O. The waiting game gets old after awhile!!

Eline - I hope you get a positive opk very soon, wouldn't wish a long cycle on anyone!!!

I'm still ridiculously hungry, the kind of hunger where it hurts, its in my upper abdomin and I just feel starving!!!! I'm still tired, but I was up late organising my friends hen do, so that's not helped.

My temp went down abit yesterday so thought damn thats it going down already in preparation for AF, but it's gone back up today.

How's everything with you wanting?

Hi Ladies!

I'm new here. My names Hannah, and I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2012, and put on Metformin in January of 2013. My wife and I are going to start TTC in September with a known donor. I have my first drs appointment today at 3, and I am SO EXCITED.

It's more our planning appointment, as to how we're going to do this baby dance. What drugs she'll put me on, how the IUI will work with a known donor, etc. I'm really interested as to what she'll do with my metformin, because in January of this year she lowered me from 1000 mg/day to 500mg/day since my cycles had become "regular" at around 40 days each. WELL, this last cycle decided to be a show off and lasted for 67 days, so we'll just see about that.

I've been trying to track temperatures and it's been a joke. I keep thinking that I've ovulated, and then five days later I'll get another temperature spike, then five days later the same thing and THEN I'll get AF.

Any who, I was excited to find this board, and this thread in particular. TTC and PCOS AND using a donor has been daunting, but I'm really excited to get started.

Nice to meet you all!

H

Glad your temp ended up going back up Cookie. Any updates today?

Eline, has your OPK turned positive yet?

Welcome, Mrs, and good luck! I hope your appointment went well. TTC with PCOS can be a challenge but hopefully you won't have a very difficult time!

Thanks wanting! It went really well. We are starting femera as soon as my next cycle comes, which will probably be at the end of August! Dr decided that she will also want to do a trigger shot.

I can't believe this is so close to actually happening!! Eeee!

Welcome Mrs - that's good news about your appointment, sounds like the ball is really rolling, and hopefully it wont be too long before you get your bfp. I recently visited the doctor in regards to my fertility as we've been trying for number 2 for over a year...need to have blood tests first and they want to test my hubbies swimmers, then she'll refer me to a fertility specialist.

Wanting - Nope not much going on really, although my temp has gone down the last 2 days so it's not looking good, its still high but each day has seen a slight drop, which is what tends to happen when af is on its way. I did have some spotting yesterday, but literally was when I went to the toilet one time, and was a brown colour. I'm 13 dpo today and af is due on Saturday. I have a test at home, so I'm going to save it for Sunday incase it doesn't show. I'm prett sure AF will arrive. How about you? All going ok?

I'm not going to assume that the spotting means anything, I've had spotting 3 times this cycle...I think its just an f'd up cycle to be honest. Hopefully next cycle will be more normal.

Aww Cookie, that sucks. Hopefully next cycle will textbook perfect!

Welcome Mr. & Mrs! It's nice you can start femara next month, something to look forward too!

I did get my positive OPK yesterday! I was verrrrry relieved! We dtd last night, but I must admit that I just couldn't relax and stop thinking about the possibility of conceiving. The kind of behaviour I was hoping wouldn't show up until I was a couple of months in.

Mrs, that's great that you will be getting the ball rolling soon!

Cookie, well crap. I was hoping for your BFP this cycle. It has been an odd cycle for you and hopefully it's just a one time thing and everything will be back to normal next cycle!

Eline, yay for a positive OPK! I find that no matter how relaxed I intend to be, I still end up getting so consumed by TTC. This cycle has been a little better for me but I'm starting to get a bit antsy and impatient now.

I'm 6dpo and just waiting...

Hi all!

Can I join in your group?

I was diagnosed with pcos in 2010 & got a bfp with my dd after taking soy isoflavones. Before that I was annovulatory & didn't have periods without provera. In sept 2012 we decided to ttc #2 but I was diagnosed with a blood disorder in December 2012. After a good few hospital admissions & discharges and just over a year on steroids I became medication free in march this year. I had been sent back to gynae & was given three clomid cycles at 50mg - unmonitored. All bfn.

Went back to gynae today & have been given 3 cycles of clomid at 100mg and cycles will be monitored. Yay! I'll get a trigger shot when all is looking good.

Hannah - I'll probably be starting at the end of august too!! My last cycle was 50 days & I'm cd 20 today so just got to be patient (not my forte!! Lol). I'm feeling hopeful that this may actually work with monitoring to see what is happening! Are you being monitored on your femara cycle??

Cookie - Hope all your blood work looks good, and his swimmers!

K4th,

That's exciting that they're starting to monitor you! And yes, my Dr said that I'll do femera days 5-9, then on day 12 come in to get a sono and if I have a follicle at 22mm or bigger then we will do the trigger shot 24 hours later.

Welcome k4th. That's great to hear that soy helped you conceive #1. I've been taking soy for the last 3 cycles and hoping it will result in my BFP! Good luck with the monitored Clomid cycles! Hopefully this cycle will be shorter than your last one so you can get started.

I think I'm going to try soy, need to find out where I can get it from.

14 dpo today and my temp went down again so I think it's safe to say that my period will arrive tomorrow. Xx

Ugh. That sucks, cookie. I'm sorry. =(

I've never heard of the soy before, that's interesting!

According to this website https://www.pcosdietsupport.com/pregnancy/pcos-and-pregnancy/ soy would not be good for PCOS, but I hear a lot of B&B ladies are taking it? So I'm not sure what's right?
