Any PCOS ladies want to chat?

Well I'm not feeling very hopeful but I know I'm not out til AF arrives, so will wait and see if it shows.

Lsd - Now you've asked that I don't actually know where I saw that, I know I read it somewhere but I've just looked on the website that got me reading about Inositol in the first place and it said to ask your doctor before taking it during pregnancy. So actually I think I'll take back the statement about taking it through your first trimester until I find information to back it up. I'll have a look later and see if I can find it.

I've just ordered more inositol, gone for powder this time as taking 7 tablets a day was abit much so figured powder will be easier.

Kylasbaby - ignore my statement about taking inositol through the first trimester. Very annoying that I now can't find where I read it. I definitely did though, but whether that source is reliable I don't know. I shall find out.

Ah, yeah just did some research and a 2011 study showed it can induce uterine contractions. It should be here tomorrowish. So maybe I'll start it next cycle as I'll be ovulating in a week. FX I don't need it and get a big strong BFP!

Well, I guess I will have to continue to try and find information on it! :) Hope everyone is having a great week! :)

Hey ladies! Well the witch got me, so I'm out this cycle. Looking on the positive side though, my cycle was 33 days long and my period arriving coincides with when I thought I ovulated. Normal for me is a 34 day cycle and that's only when I have lost weight, so I'm hoping my next cycle will either be shorter or I will get my bfp. I'm more hopeful for the bfp. Just shows what losing weight can do, and maybe with taking inositol aswell then I'll have an even better shot at falling pregnant.

How is everyone doing?

xx

So sorry cookie, but like you said having a regular cycle is very promising!

I am 5dpo....5 long days....

Thanks Tonya, at the beginning of the year my cycles were well over 50 days long, pretty sure at one point there was a 60 odd day cycle, so to have a 34 day cycle followed by a 33 day cycle, well it makes me pretty happy. I was having a 34 day cycle when I conceived my son so it gives me hope.

Good luck with the 2 week wait, its torture! In a weird way I was glad to get my period, could finally be put out of my misery!!

Will you be testing early or will you wait and see if your af is late? When I'm back in the 2ww I plan to wait, all the bfns I got from testing early made me feel so bad. Don't want to do that again. I've also learnt that all the symptoms in the world mean nothing!!

I am trying not to symptom spot either, when I got pregnant with my son I didn't find out until 6.5 weeks so I didn't recognize any symptoms then!

I will likely not have the will power to wait until the 7th, still seems soooo far away!

I'm in... I will give more about me later. But can inositol be taken with clomid?

So my donor can't do this month. Have a meeting tomorrow with a possible donor so FX that goes well. But my opk last night on CD 8 was damn near positive. I had 4 days of spotting before AF so if I count from that I'd currently be on CD 13 which makes more sense. I just hope I can get at least one donation in before I O.

From what I have read yes inositol can be taken with Clomid but it is not recommended that it is taken with metformin.

I have read so many positive stories and I feel that all women with pcos should give it a try. There have been studies on it and the effects sound amazing, ovulation rates are high, improves egg quality, lowers testosterone, lowers lh levels...just sounds brill.

From what I have read you should stop taking it when you get a positive pregnancy test, it looks like it is a higher dose that could cause utinary contractions, but there have not been enough studies to know if there is a danger in the first trimester. That's the trouble it could be absolutely fine to continue with but no one knows so its better to stop.

Fingers crossed Kylasbaby, hope you manage to find a donor. x

Hey ladies can I join your group please.

A brief bit about me and my history:-

I am 27 and have been with my partner 5.5 years and are due to marry this August. I had a nasty car crash that left me in a coma etc 10 years ago and I didn't have periods after it. They did every test they could and 2.5 years later could find no reason so put it down to PCOS even though the ultrasound and bloods were normal. I went on the bc pill to start my cycle and just got on with life. 2 years ago I came off the pill and I had a couple of periods but even ff wasn't sure if I actually was ovulating. Back and forth to the dr I eventually got seen by endocrinologist in jan this year who confirmed PCOS saying it can be seen on ultrasound and bloods now. He wrote to my GP to put me on metformin and then clomid if that didn't work. I went on metformin and it did nothing at first with 2 pills a day so I upped the dosage myself to 3 a day and got my first real period in 10 years a month later. I thought finally something is working but then nearly 2 month still that my temps are consistently the same hardly fluctuating and nothing. The dr wouldn't put me on clomid saying she wasn't allowed and a gynocologist had to. So I had a referral and now only have 6 days until my appointment.

So that is me.

Since the wedding is so close now I am tempted to ask them about going back on the pill to induce my periods and potentially ovulation for the next 2 months and then come off it to try clomid in August. I don't know if they will do that or want to do even more tests before they talk about clomid.

I know so far my journey hasn't been too hard or long compared to some but I would love to get advice and opinions and help you if I can.

Thanks girls xXx

Sorry the witch got you Cookie, but yay for a regular cycle!

KylasBaby, hope you are able to find a donor in time for O.

Tonya, good luck with the remainder of your 2ww. It can be torture and seems to drag by so slowly!

Welcome to the new ladies! Girly, that is so scary about your accident. I hope you will be able to find something that will get you ovulating. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

As for me, I had an appointment with my OB/GYN the other day and since I had a normal 28 day cycle this past time he felt that the best course of action at the moment would be to just wait and see...and I HATE waiting and seeing LOL. I feel like I've done enough of that for a lifetime.

I am on CD 16 and no positive OPKs or anything yet. =( I had a good amount of EWCM today, some slight cramping/twitches/twinges...so I'm hoping that maybe my body is finally starting to gear up for O!

Found a donor. Met with him today and got a donation. Depending on when I ovulate might get another one or two donations. FX!

Welcome Girly, I hope you get a positive outcome from your appointment, hopefully they can get you ovulating. Must be extremely frustrating but there is help out there.

Wanting - does sound like you are approaching ovulation, hopefully it will happen soon

Kylasbaby - great news about the new donor xxx

Not much to report with me, I haven't had a great week on the diet I didn't go to weigh in on Thursday because I was afraid I had gained. Last night I went out to dinner with my hubby (which was lovely) so really have only got back on track today. Have no idea how much I've put on but I'm hoping by Thursday I will have lost anything I have gained. Really doesn't take much for me to go back to my old ways, and my old ways are basically eating anything and everything in sight and not even because I'm hungry.

X

Cookie thanks for the welcome. I know what the whole eat everything and anything feels like. I am rubbish at trying to change my ways and loose weight. I do for a few days or maybe a week and then suddenly realise I am doing it again. Doh!!!

Kylasbaby great you found a doner, good luck with it all .

Wanting2010 I know how you feel about the waiting. Waiting and being patient seems to always be the way of life arghhh. My partner is in the army and we are constantly in edge waiting to hear when he is next away and where he is going and at the moment we are waitin to hear about his new posting. Always just waiting. Finger crossed you are about to ovulate if you have EWCM. Fingers crossed.

Only 4 days until I will finally get to see the specialist. Seems to be so many options they could say. Put on clomid, back on the pill, get OH sperm checked, go for hsg test, have other tests. I am excited but nervous at the same time.

Keep positive girls it will eventually happen for all of us xx

Fingers crossed you ladies get bfp soon. I've been ttc with Pcos for 9 long years, it will happen. Sending :dust:

Congratulations swt! After 9 years you must be sooo happy, but I imagine scared too. Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months xxx

Have you O'ed yet KylasBaby?

Cookie, I've had a bad few weeks on my diet!! I weighed 4 lbs more at my appointment the other day than I did when I went for my pap in August. =\ I've been doing really well the last few days, though!

Well I think I finally have my positive OPK! It's CD 20 so several days later than last cycle. However, I'm just happy that it appears that I'll be O'ing soon! We have BD'ed the last 2 days, will today and tomorrow as well so I think we should be pretty well covered in that department!

Wanting - definitely looks positive!
My OPK this am was positive so should O today or tomorrow!
