Any PCOS ladies want to chat?

Good luck ladies, I hope the 2ww goes quickly for you and you get your bfps xx

Good luck to all you ladies in the tww! I hope you all get a BFP.
Girly- My experience with fertility specialist went as so...He immediately put me on 1500mg metformin, asked for DH Sperm analysis. 3 months later(next app) He told me I had to go for a HSG test before he would put me on Clomid, wanted DH to go for another Sperm analysis as the previous one wasnt tested in time. 6 months later(after HSG cleared and sperm analysis) (one whole year after first app) he finally gave me clomid...he wanted to do all the tests before he would give me clomid...it was a long process. I know a lot of ladies on here get clomid much sooner, and I am hoping you are one of them that dont have to wait for all the testing to be done!!! first round clomid worked but ended in MC and now I will be starting my second round tomorrow (three months after miscarriage as he wanted me to wait three months before using clomid and trying again). I really hope you get answers soon and I hope you dont wait too long for your BFP.
Good luck ladies:hugs:

Hello Ladies,

For 3+ years i was TTC and nothing ever happen so i went to the doctor on March 24, 2014 i was diagnosed with PCOS and my doctor put me on Metformin and also scheduled me for an HSG. I started my Metformin on May 5, 2014 and i had my HSG done on June 2, 2014. I must say i DIDNT feel any pain when i had my HSG done. i took two 500 mg motrin the night before and i took two 500 mg motrin 30-40 min before i had my HSG done and two hours before my HSG i douche using the medicated Summer's Eve douche. After my HSG the radiologist told i should have cramping and a little blood but i have NO cramping at all and a little blood the day of and brown-ish discharge for the next two days, he also said it didnt look like my tubes are block but he'll have to look at the final pictures and he'll send the report to my private doctor within two days, so now i waiting to hear from my doctor. But today im BDing in hoping for a BFP this month or next month. **My Hopes Are High & My Fingers Are Crossed** Did anyone ever have this problem and gotten pregnant?

Hello ladies,

I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2010 but nothing was done and it's gradually got worse, my cycles are totally unpredictable now and I dont think I ovulate :(

My GP has referred me to a gynaecologist (I was expecting to be referred to endocrinology...!) and my first appointment is June 20th.

Can anyone advise what might happen? I've had bloods done, with abnormal FSH:LH ratio, androgen index and something else...

I'm hoping for metformin to help with weight loss and maybe clomid too seeing as I don't ovulate and want to TTC ASAP but I think that's expecting a bit much from my first appointment lol

Hi Ladies

Mylove - good luck, I hope you get your bfp soon. When you say this problem, do you mean pcos or something else?

Day_dreamer - I'm saying this to everyone, but check out inositol, there seem to be good results:

Not much going on with my, I'm on cd 7, remember to take my temp this morning so hopefully now I've started I will remember every day. Just now got the long ol wait til ovulation. Taking inositol and folic acid religiously, plus vitamin c...I'm trying to take b12 aswell but keep forgetting, you'd think I'd remember with taking these other tablets.

xx

Hi - I'm a 29 year old who's TTC no2. I had an ectopic pregnancy in 2010 and lost a tube, and then was LTTTC with my daughter. She's now 18months old and we're in our 3rd cycle's 2ww trying for no2.

Recently discovered 'juicing' and wondered if anyone has found it's helped their symptoms or fertility?

Hi Greygirl. Good luck with ttc no 2, I'm also ttc no 2 but my boy is 3 and a half, we tried for 6 months last year but nothing so took a break to lose weight, have lost 2 stone and now back and on our 2nd cycle of ttc. I haven't tried juicing, so i can't comment. I think anyone who can do with losing weight really should as it can really help fertility. I'm doing Slimming World, I've done some strict diets in the past but just can't deal with them anymore...just not willing to starve myself, so SW suits me down to the ground. I do mainly have to do red days though, which is lower in carbs but I dont find days of more carbs muck things up. Luckily I'm ok with the slow and steady route...must be a sign of me getting old. :)

Hey girls wondering if any of you have ever has luck get pregnant by going back on the pill for a short time? X

Hey Girly - I've not had a great deal of experience with the pill, but I've heard about it messing up cycles so personally I would think its a bad idea. You'd be better off trying progesterone cream, it would get your cycles regular. I used it last year for a while but I don't feel I need it anymore. Where are you from? I also think it's definitely worth trying inositol aswell.

How is everyone else doing?? Been abit quiet on here recently.

I'm on cd 13 today, cm is watery and slightly stretchy, I'm really hoping I ovulate earlier than cd 19 (which is when I O'd last cycle). Since I last ovulated I have lost 3.5 lbs and hoping when I get weighed thursday I will be able to add a couple more lbs to that figure. Plus I've been taking inositol religiously for about a month now...just really hope that it all helps. I know definitely the weightloss will have, I've lost 29.5 lbs in total so far and have had a good week so I'm hopeful that that figure will increase this week.

xx

Girly, I also have no experience using the pill. My sister in law conceived her first child on her first month trying to conceive, the month she came off the pill. She has struggled to conceive her second child for about 7/8 years now and she has finally just decided to go on birth control for three months and see if she can get pregnant when she comes off it. She is unexplained and fertility doctors refuse her as there is nothin more then can do. I will let you know how she does when she starts again. I think if this is something you think that might help you then give it a go!

Hey all 7dpo here. Been having, either a lot of symptoms, or a lot of "it's all in my head". Started testing already. I know, I'm nuts I accept it ;). I swear I can see so eying though. Pics are in my journal last page if you want to check it out. Been extremely tired the last couple of days, very irritable, I created CM and recently really hot boobs which I had when I was pregnant with my loss as well. Hoping it's all baby related!

Kylasbaby - I had a look on your journal, Im not sure I can see a line...I think my work computer doesn't show up very well. I don't trust those tests to be honest, last cycle I had a pretty good line on one of those tests, but it was actually a bfn. If you are nuts then so am I as last cycle I was testing from 7 dpo, I think I actually went through 30 tests. Crazy!!!! Anyway this cycle I vow not to test early, we are away for 4 nights in the latter part of the 2ww so that should stop me testing. I've got no tests at home and I dont plan to buy any unless I am late...I just have no self control if I have tests in the house.

xx

For those of you with recent/upcoming appointments, I hope you all get some answers so you will be able to move forward with TTC with the tools to beat PCOS!

day_dreamer- You very well may be put on Clomid at your first appointment, since you've had all the bloods done already. Things moved pretty quickly for me when TTC #1 once I'd had the bloodwork done. Depending on where you are in your cycle, you may first get something to induce a period.

GreyGirl- Welcome! Our babies are only a few months apart. My son is 15 months.

Girly- My FS put me on the pill once to help shrink a large cyst that was leftover from a medicated cycle. I have heard that the pill isn't the greatest option for women with PCOS. Mostly it just masks the symptoms rather than help improve them, and you hear of so many women with trouble conceiving after coming off of it.

Cookie- Good job with the weight loss!! I have been holding steady myself, but it's my own fault since I can't stop overeating. Ugh. Where do you buy your inositol? Going to give it a try next cycle if this one is a no go.

KylasBaby- I do see something on your tests, but like Cookie mentioned I have had lines on these when not pregnant. =( Wondfo used to be amazing but I've been seeing faint lines on at least 50% of the ones I've taken over the last several months, UGH! I certainly do hope that's not the case for you and it's the start of your BFP!

I'm trying to hold out on testing until I'm at least 10 dpo- I'm 6 dpo today. I was going to wait til AF was due, but who am I kidding?? All I know is that I won't be going through the amount of tests I did last cycle. 2-3 a day was ridiculous!! I have a handful of Wondfo and 1 FRER and my goal is to not buy anymore tests unless I get a BFP and then I will buy a digi!

Waiting - the 2ww is torture isn't it! I hope the days whizz by and you get your bfp.

Well I've checked and I've got more ewcm and I noticed a spot of blood in it, so had another check and again had another spot. I'm cd 13...I dont want to get my hopes up, but really would be great if it means ovulation is going to happen soon. I haven't started using opks as I've never ovulated earlier than cd 19, so I'm going to use one later and see how things are looking. If it happens in the next day or two I will be one happy bunny!!! xxx

Well I have so much will power (that's sarcasm by the way) I said I wont be testing early, so what do I do? I order a load of early hpt's!!!! Oh well, hopefully I will be able to control it abit better this cycle and won't turn into a crazy lady.

x

Any news KylasBaby?

Good luck with that Cookie! I am 8 dpo and resisting the urge to test. Asked my hubby to drop a test off at work for me this morning on his way to work and he wouldn't because right after I O'ed I gave him instructions to not let me test until the 15th lol. Apparently he is taking that task seriously! But I may do a sneaky test tomorrow since at 9 dpo a BFP would be within the realms of possibility at least!

No nothing yet. Been obsessed with orange is the new black the past couple days so that's been keeping my mind occupied.
