anyone got pregnant after ovarian drilling?

Hi ladies
So I'm excited to say that i had my surgery on July 15th . My first cycle on August 8, I'm currently CD 14 and my opk tested pos today. I'm overjoyed that i finally O on my own next step is baby.

Linkerland- How are you girl AF yet or BFP yet?

:dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust::dust: to all

I have been reading this forum, and tryna catch up and be up to date with everyone.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE, AND LETS ALL HOPE FOR THE BEST OUTCOME.

Cnr I'm so excited for you that things are working. Hoping you get your bfp this cycle :)
Afm- I've been taking hpt's since 9dpo. They were all dollar store test. Got what a thought to be squinter lines with no color but showed up right away. Thinking they might be indent lines. They show up more on camera then in person. 9dpo I could barely see it. 10 dpo looked kinda promising. Still thinking I'm probably reaching though. 11 dpo back like 9's. In the pictures they look like evaps. Today 12dpo it was even harder to see in the picture. Boughtt frer this morning took one. Couldn't really see anything. Could say if I looked really hard maybe that's the beginning of some sort of line. But think I'm just wanting it that bad. Boobs are still extremely sore. Hoping I get a bfp. But trying to prepare myself for af.

Can anyone help my opk wasnt as dark yesterday on cd 14, but tested again today and its as dark as the control line. Does that mean I'm O -ing already, about to or already did. I read that after its pos its 3 days later that you o. Im confused. Help... :). This is so excited because i havent o-vd on my own since 2010.

linkerland- I cant really see anything...maybe its just my eyes 0_0; but give it a few more days and test again.

Yeah I'm guessing I'm probably out. Would assume I'd be getting something more positive by now 13dpo. My Temps are still high. I'll test again in a couple days if they don't drop. Not sure about the O question. I always stop testing after the 1st or 2nd day of a positive. Good luck though. Really hoping this is O for you :)

Hi ladies, mind if I jump in here?

I had my drilling done yesterday and am really positive that it will work for me!

Today I am so uncomfortable but I know it's worth it!

How long after did everyone get their first af or first ovulate?

I dont usually ov or get af on my own at all and have medicated cycles to shed my lining every few months.

Welcome flib! Sorry your feeling uncomfortable. I had my surgery on July 17th. It took me about a week to start feeling better. Then slowly just felt better and better. I haven't had af yet. I got a positive opk cd 22 and 23. Counting surgery as cd1. Pretty sure I ovulated for the first time cd24. Due to progesterone symptoms I've never got. Mainly super sore boobs. Won't be monitored till next cycle. So won't know for sure if I'm ovulating till then. Was hoping for a bfp. Haven't gotten one yet. So waiting for af to come. Good luck and baby dust :)

Oh brilliant :) I've had a laparoscopy before to check tubes etc but I forgot how sore it is! I had a medicated cycle 6th of August and surgery was day 16. I'll start opks from 10 days post op and hope for the best!

Hey girls. So just went to the bathroom and there was a little pinkish red starting. Think it's the beginning of af. The positive thing is it's actually 14 days exactly from when I think I ovulated. So hoping that's all good signs that I hopefully did ovulate. BD today so maybe that helped it start to come. Sad it didn't happen for me first cycle after surgery. But excited to go ahead and move on to the next cycle. Let the journey continue!

How long did yall bleed for after surgery? Because yesterday it had slowed all the way to light brown spotting but now it's like a full af again.. I don't know when to count as cd 1.. good news for you link, sounds like it's worked! Fingers crossed for next cycle for you x

Thanks flib. My doctor always says to count the first day of any spotting as cd1. So I'm going to count that as yesterday. As for today, woke up with full blown cramps. And heavy bleeding. Never got much of cramps before. These one's are miserable. And haven't let off all day. Just been trying to sleep them off the best I can. I'm guessing this is what a real normal period feels like. And really hoping it doesn't last to long.

Ouch :( im still hurting and my stitches are pulling and I have to go back to work tonight which sucks. Luckily I'll be able to take it easy with the manual labouring hah not looking forward to my first af like. Hopefully won't get one I'll get a bfp instead!

Hey ladies, quick update. I'm out this month, started spotting late late Saturday night and since then a light flow. Im please it's here but perplexed tbh. My longest ever cycle in my life was 32/33 days this one was 34. So either :

A, the opk was wrong and I didn't ovulate on the 3rd (day 13) and either didn't at all or did on day 18/19
B, if I did ovulate on 3rd my luteal phase went from its usual 14 to 21 days
C, I should have counted surgery on 24th July as day 1 even though it was day 3

Either way surgery messed up my usually regular cycle big time.

I just hope now my hormones will regulate, I'll ovulate every month and we'll finally get our sticky bean.

I'm seeing the specialist again on 16th

Baby dust to everyone else.

:hi: ladies

Welcome Flib :flower: I had my op on Dec 2011 and my Ovarian Drilling baby is nearly 17 months old. I'm one of many success stories on the thread, I hope you will be one too. Count the day of the op as CD1, even with the spotting in between. I have noticed that since my op, I sometimes get AF that starts, stops and then starts again. The first cycle after the op can be strange. Hope you're feeling better soon. :friends:

CNR - Glad the op went well and congrats on ovulating. :happydance: Sometimes I get different shades of dark lines at different times of the day. PCOS can also do weird things to OPKs. Good luck :hugs:

Daisy - Yes, always count the day of the op as CD1 because the operation will reset your hormones and effectively your cycle. The first cycle post op can be confusing and weird as our bodies are reacting to what just happened and hopefully starting to repair and gear up to doing what we want. Sorry you have AF, but I think your cycle sounds alright. I would say it was more likely you ovulated on day 18/19. Fingers crossed for you for your new cycle.

Linkerland - Sorry about AF, but I think there are some positives to take from the last cycle. Cramps are horrible. :nope: Hope you're feeling better soon.

Angie - Brilliant news about your regular cycles, that is a fab step in the right direction.

Baby dust to everyone
:dust:

Just ordered some new opks going to start on day 10. I always always get a second line with having pcos so I'm hoping this time they will actually work :) yall are making me hopeful for this to work. I don't usually even get a cycle so even that would be a sign that something is going on there. And if I get a cycle and no joy, I'll be put back on a low dose of clomid. Hopefully won't be necessary. All this waiting is going to be the death of me!

Thanks Kyla, hubby and I are on a mission this month to bd every other day as soon as AF has gone. The only annoying thing is I am working away cycle days 15-17 my key days! I go the morning of day 14 and return the night of day 18. I'm pretty sure given the dates I'll be out for this month to, but you never know.

Linkerland my monthly AF pre op wasn't so bad, it may just be from the surgery.

Hi Flib, nice to meet you .

Welcom flib,
I had my surgery July 15 and had light bleeding/spotting(red/brown) until July 22. 24 days later aug 8 I had my first AF which only lasted 4 days which was short compared to when I use to have AF in the pass(but hey I'm not complaining lol)than on cd 15 I had a dark line + opk.i know I Ovd this cycle because I had EWCM!!!around when the opk came out pos. Currently on cd 24 and expecting AF or BFP.

Ok ladies so I'm on to my 2nd cycle post surgery. My AF lasted 4 days! A day longer than normal which I think is a good sight.

so question for you. For those who always had a regular cycle like me pre surgery and ovulated some of these. Did you find after surgery that your cycles stayed the same length? Or did the shorten?

I.e mine have always post bc been 31/32 days regardless of ovulation. Should I expect them to stay 31/32 or get shorter?

hey ladies
i need some advise since 10 dpo i had some crampings once in a while and now i'm 12 dpo and feel nauseous do you think its too early to test or can these be symptoms of AF, not sure cause this has never happened to be before. any advise would be appericated. thanks and good luck ladies
