anyone got pregnant after ovarian drilling?

:angry: Are you kidding me. So I got the positive wondfo on Friday 5th sept day cd13 All neg since. As you all know I was still only getting flashy smileys and then today cd17 I get this!!! A solid face. What does this mean? Did I get an lh surge on the 5th but not ov? Did I release 2 eggs? Either way we last bd'd midnight Friday before I left to work away and I'm not home till late tomorrow night so I can safely say If this is ov and the last wasn't I'm out. Oh and like I said yesterday my cm changed on sun eve from ewcm to as it still is now, thick white and sticky, lots of it. Cervix is still firm too.

Linkerland I have no idea what's going on now. How can you have 2 positive from 2 different tests 5 days apart?

I'm sorry daisy! It's all so confusing to me. Just sucks you get the solid when your still out of town. We try so hard and to not be able to bd the day of the smiley face is such a bummer.I would still try and bd tomorrow when you get home. And the next day. Incase that is your true surge. You could still ovulate 12-36 hours after. I'm super confused with my charting. This morning had a major dip. I'm 4 dpo so pretty sure it's way to early for implantation. Hope it goes back up. Feeling way less hopeful this cycle. Will be really bummed if I didn't ovulate at all. But I just have to remember if I didn't I can always still try clomid again next cycle. Has anyone else had a temp dip 4 dpo on a cycle they did ovulate
?

I just don't know Linkerland, I just did my evening wondfo and it's a very clear negative. I am still bd'ing as soon as I get home. But seriously??? I've been using clearblue advanced since October last year and this is my first month of using wondfos.

Which have people found more reliable?

Linkerland, I was reading you could get a fallback rise? You can also get an estrogen rise after ovulation

Good news Linkerland, mine was high still this morning and on my chart a crosshairs and cover line appeared. We bd'd when I got home. I took another wondfo very clear negative again. So high temps, sticky thick cm, negative wondfos but a positive clearblue. I give up.

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum and would love some support from ladies that have been there. I have PCOS and have been ttc for nearly 3 years. I have been on metformin for only a short time but because of my age (34) the gynecologist thought OD was the next step before I go to ivf. I am 3 weeks post op and still have 3 weeks till my follow up appointment. I feel like I am over analyzing every twinge in my body. I don't think that I have ever ovulated so I really hope that the drilling has helped. My cycles have been from every 3 weeks to not having one for over 3 months. I am trying not to get my hopes up too much that the op will make me ovulate but I can't help but dream. Any advice that you can give would be awesome

Hey ladies, thanks for all the positivity. Cd25 and still all neg opks. I can only hope I missed the surge and I did ov. My cm is definitely post ovulatory though so that is keeping me a bit hopeful. Also I've had absolutely no spotting which pre surgery I would certainly have had by now. So something has changed but who knows!

Welcome poppers, and I know how frustrating it is Flibbertty.


So I've Just been to see the specialist for my post op 8 week follow up. Told him my pre op lovely regular cycles were were now messed up. About my long cycle last month. And about my crazy time with the wondfo dip opk and the CB madness this month and my temps etc etc.

He just said, we've treated the pcos. We've done this and that it was a success. Keep on the metformin. if no BFP by new year go back to the doctor get re reffered and we'll start you on clomid.

I asked why no clomid now, he said just wait and see what happens first. I asked should I not have 21 day bold tests? He said if I want to speak to the doctor but I don't need it....l

I'm so frustrated and really Really annoyed. Then I fell out with hubby on way home, cause he said just got to stop all the tests and let what happens happen. Easy for him to say. And this month I have been trying to ignore everything. The only thing I've done is test for ovulation and temp.

Plus he works evenings and me days so I have to know when/if I'm ovulating. He was then ridiculous and said it's not just 12-36hr window that you have for ovulation and I only think that cause I read it somewhere!!!

Plus I've been asking him to get his sperm count checked for nearly a year and he hasn't. I said I didn't think he really wanted a baby (when we first started I didn't really. It was him pushing it) of course that didn't go down well. So now we're not talking.

Plus I have no idea when my AF is due. Could be 20th sept could be 25th I don't know cause I don't know which if either opk to trust.

I'm really annoyed. I give up. Completely give up. And I've got stomach cramps.

Flib I'm sorry you aren't getting any positive opks. I keep getting positive ones, but still am not ovulating
Daisy, I am so sorry your husband isn't supporting you the way he should. Last thing we need is them trying to tell us how are body's work. Or the common just relax it will happen. Easy for everyone else to say. I totally understand the spend analysis situation. If I hadn't held my df's hand and made all the appointments he still wouldn't have done it. I'm just thankful we all have each other. I don't know what I would do not having all of us who completely understand each other to talk to. I think it'd crazy they are making you wait to start the clomid. I'm sorry girl!
Afm- finally got my day 21 blood results back. Was at a .7! So once again I am still not ovulating. Feel super bummed out. Starting clomid whenever af shows up. Really hoping that helps me ovulate. I hate pcos!!

Sorry your not Oving now I feel like I should do Bloodword now too just to make sure I'm Oving too. I do seem to get pos opks around day cd 14 or 15, and when I getting close to those cd my opk show a second line but I believe where suppose to count the really dark lines. Have u had symptoms of Oving?

Hi cnr! The first cycle after od I didn't get my progesterone tested. But felt like I had alit of symptoms from the day I thought I o'd. I felt sharp twinges in my left ovary on what I thought to be O day. Two days aftwr positive opk. And my boobs got instantly super sore that same day through to 3 days into my following af. Also af came exactly 14 days after I thought I O'd. This cycle I got my positive opk right when I was expecting it. I felt twinge again in my left ovary the next day. Only for 20 sec or so. My boobs didn't start to get sore till what I thought was 9dpo. And are still sore which I would be 12 dpo. If I had actually ovulated. Maybe pre period soreness. But once again it baffles me to get periods even though I'm not ovulating. I noticed this time "9dpo" more cm then usual. Maybe my body's trying to do what it's supposed to. Hoping the clomid gives me that extra help I need. Not sure when af is going to show since I didn't ovulate. But symptom wise I feel like it's around the corner. Hopefully I don't have to wait to long. Just want to move on to the next cycle. On a positive note, now that I know I didn't O which means I'm not pregnant. Test confirm that, I get to have some fun at my friend's Bachelorette party this weekend. But I'd much rather be celebrating a bfp.

Arrggh Linkerland I know that would of been great to celebrate a BFP; but on the plus side you get to go all out at the party and distress alittle bit.Good luck on the clomid journey and hoping for the best outcome . As for me maybe I should check with my Fs. For bloodwork ; just to double check if I'm Oving on my own even though I do think in getting Oving symptoms . But who knows . But than again I had to different things done ovarian drilling and ovarian wedge resection. Arrgghh maybe I should schedule an appt with my FS.

Has anyone had an ultrasound or any testing after the drilling to see if there's any scarring on the ovaries? It does cause scarring doesn't it ?

I know what you mean I always had regular periods even when I didn't ovulate.

Hubby and I made up quickly after a blazing row. He was just sad to.

I think I'll get a docs apt and maybe ask for a second opinion. I'm convinced I'm still not ovulating as you know I got multiple positive opks this month. My temp shift and ewcm would show the first was correct but who knows.

Anyway, I'm feeling much more chilled about it all. But lm so glad I've you girls to talk to who are all going through the same thing.

Cnr- I'm not sure if they can see if there is scarring on an ultrasound or not. Guess I'll find out when they ultrasound me this cycle after clomid. My doctor said before my surgery that he likes when he does c-sections after so he can see how the ovarys look and healed. So I wonder if they can only tell if they are back in there. Not really sure though.
Flib- yay! I know you've been waiting forever for that positive. Hope it us followed by real ovulation
Daisy- I guess it's true that we sometimes forget the stress our men are going through too. Especially having to watch us going through so much and not really being able to help. I know it's so frustrating getting positive opk's and having them possibly not mean anything. Happy that you're feeling more chill. Trying to do that myself. Hope everyone's having an ok day!

Just a quick update, got a bfn yesterday. Cm was really creamy and loads all day then about 9pm I checked my cervix cm completely dried up and there was some brown stuff on my finger nail (tmi I'm sorry) usually when I see this I wake up and AF is in full flow.

So this morning massive temp drop to below cover line and thought yep AF is here. But as my body post op likes to surprise me. No AF yet, some tiny bits of brown throughout the day when I check cervix and still no cm. I'm guessing she'll arrive today tomorrow.

Good points: it means most likely the wondfo was right and CB was wrong. My cycle was shorter this month 29 days so perhaps I can say goodbye to 31-33 day cycles
Bad points: no pg again, bd was super well timed with that first pos opk as well so that's really disapointing.

I'm thinking of trying vitex this month and I've made a docs apt for Thursday to ask for 21day tests. Anyone had experience of this?

If anything other than the expected AF happens I'll let you know.

Flibberty are you having a day blood test to confirm ov? How's everyone else doing?

AF started in full flow. 28 day cycle this month. 3rd cycle after op lucky? Let's hope so.
