Anyone shopped online at Baby time London?

Hi,

I ordered a car seat, rain cover and base costing nearly £250, 4 weeks ago!Nothing!
They don't reply to Emails, I must of phoned them about 100 times now and never got through to anybody!!
I am willing to drive 200 miles to London from Devon to give them a mouthful and a right hook!!
I will simply file a claim against them in the small claims court for loss of earnings and fuel costs!!
They will end up with county court judgements against their company name, as they probably will not respond to the letter from the court either, this will go against their credit score!

We as consumers need to stick together! Watchdog need to be informed!!! I am emailing the show now!!! sending all the links to various forums including this one! Please do the same!!!

I'll let you know how I get on when I visit the shop!!! Mob handed!! :growlmad:

I feel the same way! And if I didn't have a baby that hates travelling, I would go too.

Good luck. If you can find out his name, that would be great.

In response to your post, I finally managed to get through to Satish on Saturday who twice answered his phone and hung up before actually answering. When I finally got through he confirmed his name was Satish and he couldn't answer before because he was in a meeting. When I asked about the product I had purchased from his company he claimed he had no idea what I was talking about. I explained in a little more detail to which he hung up. After several attempts of trying to call him again he answered and again claimed he knew nothing about it to which I responded there was no other way I could have got his details... With this he once again hung up so it may not be worth wasting your time or credit.

I have since spoken to Consumer Direct who are dealing with my enquiry and have explained that I am entitled to a refund under the Distance Selling Act 2000.

Hope this helps.

Was that the number posted on page 2 of this thread? 0777 244 5023 ?

I googled this number, and it belongs to IT Jack Ltd. Interestingly, IT Jack is located above Babytime. I guess Satish runs two businesses...

Satish's mobile number is on the "Computer Repair" page of IT Jack's website:
https://itjack.co.uk/pcrepair_computerrepair.php

And IT Jack's address (aka Babytime's address) plus another phone number is on the "Contact Us" page:
https://itjack.co.uk/contactus.php

Hmmmmm. Very interesting...

BTL,

As per my email to you today, cancel my order 1548/010111/20 with immediate effect and refund me the full amount paid by this coming weekend at the latest.

Failure to do so will result in a visit to your shop in with ugly consequences. I was born and raised in Welling and can amass a decent number of family and friends to achieve what I need.

Scammers and thieves like you won't be tolerated and I can't believe you're continuing to take orders from people....you need shutting down and seriously hurting.....and that's what you just might get!

BE WARNED!

thanks for letting me know about Satish's contact number.......

I have called and left a message on the mobile number stating that i would like a refund and my order number. But again there has been no response as a result of the message and emails. I have written to Watchdog in the hope that more responses might prompt them to feature Babytime.

I have done some more research into how to get the money back. Unfortunately the item that i ordered was under £100 so i cannot claim back under section 75, but if you have VISA (credit and debit card) and Mastercard (credit card only) you can claim under 'chargeback'. This is where your bank asks for the money from the seller's bank. The claim has to be put in under 120 days, from when you discover there is a problem. I hope i have that right, please can anyone feedback if i have the details wrong and it would also be interesting to know if anybody has had their money back through this process.

I know that we shouldn't have to do this and it may be hassle, but at least everyone has the chance of getting their money back. I take my hat off to the people of are going to confront Baby time in person and if i could do the same, they would not want to be at the end of my hormonal rant!

will keep everyone updated..............

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that the shop above BTL has a sign in it saying 'Baby Time London' and you can see all the baby stuff. Also when you are in the shop you can clearly see the stairs. I am pretty sure that he has alot of different trading names - one of the threads on a previous page says that the company BTL is dissolved.
As for him being in a meeting, I am sure that it would have only been a meeting with himself as whenever I went in there he was the only person in the shop.

Hi,

I have emailed watchdog through the BBC website! They need to know about this scumbag!! I have posted the links to this thread and others!!

Please do the same if you have had problems! Going by the amount of complaints on this forum, if everyone contacts watchdog they will surely expose this con-merchant!!

Regards :help:

Hi, I am currently waiting to begin the chargeback process. I paid with a visa debit and it's been 20 days since i ordered. I have to wait 28 days to open a dispute because it says i have to wait 28 days in the btl t&c. The guy on the phone said that I have a good chance of getting my money back through this chargeback process. Will keep you all informed, there is hope.

Thanks for your response.......

I'm hoping the credit card company won't drag their heels and reimburse the money! It would be interesting to know also how long it takes kamkol to get your money back.

Monsta and others planning to visit BTL, any luck meeting the infamous Satish and getting your money back???

I am one of you who stupidly ordered off Baby Time London and then decided to look for reviews after. Luckily not spent any where near as much as some on here. Credit card company have to give it 30 days then they will raise a dispute. I never buy anything online wihout using visa just incase. Again no reply from emails will try ringing but know it will be no good.

Order number: 1518/291210/95 (if the posts on here are genuine)

Would be happy just to receive them. Agree with earlier posts go to watchdog to try and get something done.

Or FACEBOOK must be able to set up a dont shop at Baby Time London campaign and if everyone joined it would spread the word very quickly and hopefully stop people shopping there.

We purchased a stroller online, and then saw the reviews, have everything crossed that we do get delivery as probably like most people on here we will be unable to pay out even more money for another.

Sometimes I think, if this thread was called "WARNING: DO NOT SHOP AT BABYTIME LONDON" instead of what it is named, I may have noticed it below the direct link to BTL on the Google results page...:dohh:

Please cancel order # 1718/150111/16.
The order was placed less than a week ago but from what I've read I am not happy waiting for eternity.
My order was placed via a credit card so I'm ok with getting my money back one way or another.
However if I don't get a prompt refund I will sue via my free trade union legal service.....

Good thinking KamKol. I have just started a new thread with this title, summarising the 150+ posts on this thread. Hopefully this makes it easier for people to locate and avoid getting themselves into the same situation as us.

This is the new thread:

I have recently purchased a Britax car seat from this website and stupidly paid by debit card have not received it and they are not answering calls or replying to emails!
Stupidly didn't write my order number down as assumed would be in confirmation email-wont be so trusting again!
Have written to watchdog.

We ordered a pram for over £400 on this website over a month ago. After constant phoning and emailing we heard nothing back grrr. Then I finally got through and the man said it would be delivered on the friday or mon (Irang on the wed) he said there had been a flood in the warehouse (which i do not believe!) and guess what it did not come!! so my father in law emailed them and they appologised for the delays after my father in law threatned to go to the shop if it isnt delivered by fri 5th! (He is still going). Sorry about the huge rant i just think it is a discrace how they take the money straight away with no intention of delivering the goods either in time or atall!!! :growlmad: NEVER USE BABYTIME LONDON!!!!!

Babytime London,

Please refund my order 1698/130111/13 ASAP. I have taken advice from Trading Standards and this morning I have initiated a case with Visa to reclaim these funds.

Refund requested numerous times via email - no acknowledgement, also I received no answer when I tried phoning.

Hi all. A quick update on my order...

I placed my order a month ago, and became concerned when they would not answer the phone, reply to emails or to voice messages. So I cancelled the order just before the 7 day cancellation period was up.

They never gave me a refund. However, my wonderful bank (HSBC) has just refunded the money to me, as I paid on credit card.

Interestingly, and despite VAT increasing, I have noticed that Baby Time has now lowered some of its prices. They are absolute crooks out to steal people's money. But I love the fact they have now incurred the £30 chargeback fee for stuffing around with my order!

REFUND REQUEST FOR ORDER 1787/210111/50 YOU HAVE IGNORED PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS I NO LONGER WANT THIS ITEM SO WANT A REFUND NOW:growlmad:
