Don't worry KamKol - I have been doing some research, and it looks like Babytime's customers that will have the last laugh.
Distance Selling Regulations cover online purchases
- You have the right to return or cancel your order for any reason.
- If you don't like the goods or have changed your mind, you can cancel the order
- You can cancel at any time until the end of the seventh working day after the day on which you receive your goods
- To cancel your order, you must tell the seller in writing - by letter, fax or e-mail. It doesn't matter if they don't respond.
- There is more info on the ConsumerDirectGov website in the After you buy / Buying at home / Returning & Cancelling section
But wait... it gets better
If you have been charged delivery fees, the retailer must refund this to you also
There is more info on the Office of Fair Trading Website, under business leaflets. It is on Page 25, section 3.48
But wait... it gets even better
If you paid by Visa or Mastercard, and the order value was over £100, then you can contact your bank, explain the situation about this disreputable online seller that will not respond to communication or refund you. They will then organise a chargeback to the seller, and refund your money.
But the very best part is...
When a bank does a chargeback, the seller incurs a £30 fee. Sweet justice for these theives.
1. Send Babytime London an email (on their contact us page)
2. Then contact your bank.
3. Lastly, tell BBC watchdog about it too.
