Anyone tried acupuncture?

Any ladies here really good with charts and got a spare few mins to have a look at mine?

My acupuncturist asked me to temp this cycle - it's something I've never done before - and I'm now not seeing her until next Tuesday...so I was just wondering if anyone thinks I DID O this cycle?

I know I've got 2 spikes and FF thinks I O'd on the 1st - but I was drinking on Sat 23 and Fri 1st (so evening before both spikes) and not sure how reliable those temps were.

After this weekend (and the rugby!) I'm giving up drinking for 2 months :S

Any opinions would be really gratefully recieved!

Don't worry too much about individual temps (the spikes) look for the pattern. If temps remain high you definitely ov. It is hard to tell when you did ov because of the missing days and the amount of days with ewcm, but i think you definitely ovd.
When are you planning to test?

Ohhh thank you for the reply erm, well on the Friday we were at the fertility clinic for our first appointment. My consultant broke the news about my OH swimmers not being good. And then when I asked him to look at my chart, he said to stop temping as it wasn't reliable for every woman and that it was probably making me more stressed! So I left feeling v sorry for myself! But then I thought what the hell, I'm still doing to temp anyway Sorry if TMI - but from Sun 3rd it was EWCM mixed with creamy CM onwards - more EWCM though...don't know if that makes a difference.

Is it possible to tell things like "weak O" from charts? That's what my acupucturist thinks, rather than no O at all :S

Oh and in answer to your other question - I was planning to hold out until if AF is late (am expecting it Fri or Sat) I hate POAS because all the BFN's making me feel really down. Having said that I'm really tempted to test this month! x

Don't lose hope, ttc is about keep trying, i know it was hard to learn about the motility issue but at least you now know and can plan about that, and i now how hard it is to ser AF or get a BFN, we need to allow ourself some time to feel sad but then we have to pick ourselves up and keep trying.
We are here for you just like you are here for us. Let's see what your temp does in the coming days.

Awww thank you I'm kicking myself for stopping temping for a few days now know my acupucnturist will tell me off next Tuesday! But YAY for the O that proves the treatment worked for me. Tbh I'm not expecting a BFP but just can't wait to get started on next cycle - bring on the Clomid!! Anyway enough about me moaning on - how's things with you? Where abouts are you at? xx

I found one that specialises in fertility, I emailed her my situation and she says ill benefit from it, so I just need to call her to make an appointment. It's be next week at the earliest tho, and I'm due to o at the weekend, not sure if that matters tho.

Just had my acupuncture. It was brilliant! Really tired now though....she said my pulse that is linked to conception is lower than the others. so we are going to work on raising it to be equal with the others.

Today i had a detox one to get ready for the fertility ones. I had needles in my back!! It was so relaxing

Its DEFO made a difference to me this cycle (I'm also taking chinese herbs) but had tons more EWCM and my PMS was better (was more bloated though, but think that's cos I've been going OTT on vits!) and if AF arrives on Sat or Sun then it means my (.)(.) weren't as sore for as long as they normally are. Looking forward to seeing what my accupuncturist makes of my chart but fingers crossed she will be happy that I finally O'd too I'm going to carry on next cycle along with starting clomid. My OH is ok with it, although the amount of money we've been spending on ttc he isn't happy about LOL! Have you got your first session booked? x

Sorry meant to add that from what everyone has said here on when they go it really varies - my lady likes to see me near start of AF and also around O, but not afterwards (well that's how it's been so far) but I know others have gone during their LT.... maybe it also depends on why you're having the treatment!

YAY pleased it all went well I felt super relaxed after my second treatment. It's interesting what she said about your pulse - mine keeps telling me I've got a kidney defiency (in chinese traditional medicine terms)

Scarlett P - I've started Clomid too this cycle. I was a bit dubious about starting but I hardly noticed that I took it, I feel really positive and hopeful this month. I hope you get on OK with it, let me know! I charted for 7 months last year, I would say it definately looks as though you O'd on day 16 - your temp went up over 0.7 in a day which is a big jump. And it also dropped slightly from day 14 which is common before O. Fingers crossed for you! My doc told me to stop temping too so I did, but have started again recently as it doesn't make you stressed, it's just helpful to see what your body is doing and when. When you stop you're still thinking about it anyway!

JasperGold - Good luck for your first acupuncture today! It really relaxes you, I hope you enjoy it.

That's exactly how I feel about temping - and now I've spent money on a fancy thermometer I want to flippin use it! Thanks for your thoughts on my chart I was drinking the night before on the 2nd spike so I think in reality it prob is higher than it should be...but it would still be a jump even without that (comparing to my pervious drink related spike) but I hadn't realised about the dip so thanks for that info

Sooooo hope the Clomid works first time round for you , where abouts are you in your cycle now? I can't WAIT to start!! I'm taking it days 2- 6

I haven't I'd yet, expecting it this weekend, so I think I'll be cd 3-6. Hoping that's ok, she didn't say I had to time treatments around the cycle.
Well, if I'm hoping for anything, it's a bfp by then!! We'll see!
