Anyone trying for #2 around cd 4?

I work full time and don't know how we will manage, I guess you do what you have to do! I am hoping my mother will watch the baby till they are old enough to go to day care, I don't want to put a 3 month old baby in day care...

Castaway how do you do it? I have a lot of friends that work full time so never complain about feeling tired etc (like I just did in my post) as I feel bad that I only work part time yet seem to get so tired. Love my job tho which makes things much easier. I listen to my friends talking about full time work and I just don't know how people manage it! Total respect to all working mums! :0)

Yikes your washing machine drama doesn't sound good twinks!!! We had a similar happening a few months ago. Castaway, you're in the US right? Maternity benefits are so much harsher than here in the uk :-( one of my American colleagues had a baby 3 months after me and was back nearly 6 months before me - doesn't seem fair! But then I guess you are used to it if that's just the way it is. Great that your mum can help anway, gotta love grandma!! :)

Well I get 6 monhs off BUT I used 3 months for the delivery of Christopher and then this surgery. I have to work 7.5 months for it renew, if I make it full term then I should be fine and get 6 months again. I really hope this is an uncomplicated pregnancy...:nope:

I just bought a new washer/dryer last year. Good purchase, we use it all the time!

Wow that is harsh about you having to go back and get it renewed but I know it's very common in US companies. Anyway fingers x you have a h&h 9 months, am sure you will. Was your pregnancy with Christopher straightforward? X

Aw hope the pregnancy goes smoothly Castaway and u get the 6 months off- totally agree with Fleur the US system doesn't sound good :-( we are very lucky here in the Uk with our maternity benefits. We get 9 months statutory but can take up to a year off. Will they monitor you more closely throughout your pregnancy if you don't mind me asking?

A washer/ dryer is something we seriously need!! The lousy weather here again means washing hanging everywhere in the house again as it's raining! :-(

Yes, I had no issues. When I delivered my little guy my body rebelled as it knew it was not time. At my 20 wk ultrasound they found he had a two vessel cord, but all his organs were in good order so they said not be concerned. Then at 23 wks it was noted he had an arrhythmia where his heart skipped a beat. Now they said this would correct itself by delivery. Well the day after my baby shower I could not feel him. I went to the hospital to find my son in congestive heart failure. Long story short the hospital had me sitting for 5 hours before they did anything, in that time our son passed. It was a horrible situation and we all were shocked. The delivering doctor said she thought our son had his air supply cut off by the cord which set off his heart. It was a rough road but in all honesty the hospital messed up and our son passed....

Castaway that just breaks my heart. I am so sorry. No one should ever have to go through what you've been through. Just so so glad you have your rainbow bfp now and your little Christopher will be watching over you now keeping you all safe. Lots of hugs xxxx

Im so sad to hear what you went through Castaway.I think its amazing how positive and brave you have been.I sincerely wish you the very best for the future, and hope you will keep us all updated with your pregnancy and beyond.
Im a SAHM,and i find it exhausting,i have nothing but admiration for all you working mums.
I dont know whats going on with me,ive had terrible headaches since CD1,and they stopped for about four days when i believe i had the LH surge, now they are back. This is all since i came off the pill, its making TTC miserable for me

Thanks, this has been one rough road.

I should be monitored much more closely this time although the doctors seem to think we should have no "issues" with our next pregnancy. Wow, I mean this pregnancy! It has not sunk in yet :haha:

Hey everyone, can I join please?:flower: Weve just started ttc no 2, weve got a 22 month little girl called amy who is amazing! Also had awful HG but an uncomplicated pregnancy otherwise, till the end when I was induced, then amy was very ill when she was born ( shehad a bowel malrotation with ladds bands and volvulus) and nearly died, she had surgery at 2 days old..... it was awful. She spent along time in hospital but is fine now. Also lost a little girl at 22 weeks last year and noone could tell us why, so quite daunting to try again. Anyhow, Im cd 18 and just got my first high on my cbfm, and i am excited as i loved being pregnant, but obviously feeling scared after what happened., especially as no issues were picked up on any scans with either pregnancy. Soooo... where are you all at cycle wise?
Hope to chat to you all soon
Xx

Hi Pcake - definitely join the gang! So sorry to hear of your loss, I cant imagine how hard that must've been. I hope you get a beautiful rainbow BFP soon. Hopefully the doctors/midwives will keep a close eye on you so you will feel reassured next time around at least.

Also sorry to hear that your little girl had a tough time of it when she was born - my dd was 6 weeks early and spent just over a week in low dependency SCBU learning to feed, so nothing anywhere near as hard as what you went through, but I can sympathise with having to leave hospital whilst your newborn baby stays in, very very tough.

Castaway and pcake both of your stories are heartbreaking and Castaway in so happy for you that you conceived quickly. Hope your ankle is recovering and you're not in pain now a week later after the op. pcake welcome to you and I really hope you fall pregnant again quickly after your loss too.

My sister was diagnosed yesterday with polycystic ovaries so she's worrying and upset she won't be able to have children. I must read more into the cloned threads on this site and see what they say amount it. Unfortunately, her partner is a lot younger than her and she has to wait for him to finish college before they can even think about trying otherwise I think she'd start now (she's 27). :0(

Hi ladies can I join in :) im currently cd5 2nd month ttc I have a 2 year old girl Abigail after 5 years ttc her I have polycystic ovaries. I went to see my doctor yesterday about trying to start clomid which helped me fall pregnant first time but apparently because I now have a child the specialist wont see me so im to let nature do its thing and hopefully it'll be nice to me and not take long this time as desperately Want a sibling for my daughter but dont want a huge age gap so 5 years waiting is definitely a nogo! Hope all you ladies are ok and get your bfp soon! :)

Im.not charting as I dont completely understand it haha 5 years of ttc and still didn't get it just confused and stressed me more plus I didn't ovulate :) so will just be doing opk and see what happens from there, hoping my body is going in the right direction as I had a 28 day cycle this month which definetly shocked me because mines usualy 30-35 :)

Twinks thank you, I feel truly blessed, like we are getting a second chance and our son is helping us along this journey.

I am so sorry about your sister. I didn't start trying until I was 31 years old so it can happen...they say fertility really doesn't drop until you are in your 40's....

Twinks, really sorry about your sis. Pcos is by no means a definite barrier to conceiving though - I have several friends who have naturally conceived with pcos. At least she has found out now and can start doing things to put herself into a good position when she does come to ttc. Still rubbish though :-(

Baby dust 1 sorry to hear your pcos story too - I'm really surprised they won't put you on clomid again. Where do you live? Could you see another doctor? That's really positive you had a 28 day cycle this month anyway, fingers crossed for you.

Castaway - how are you feeling? Hope you're taking it easy with that poorly ankle and to look after your little bean!!

How is everyone else? Any signs and symptoms? I am 3dpo and af not due for at least a week but I feel really periody today - horrid. Tbh I don't have any expectations this month and hope I won't be too gutted if af shows up next week but deep down i know I will be :-( I just had such a lovely day with my dd today and I am feeling like its alright if I don't get a bfp yet as it just means I get more one on one time with her :)

I hope you get your BFP too Fleurs, would love to be bump buddies :)

I am well ladies, just made my appt to see the doctor to confirm the pregnancy and make sure we are a good match, going on the 24th!!!

Awww so do I!!!! I really hope so! I will keep you updated!

Ah yes I forgot you guys get to choose your doctor. We just get lumped with a midwife and gp!! But that said, I can't fault either one I was assigned in my last pregnancy. Is it wrong to have a crush on your gp?!! ;-)

It's good that you guys get a routine 7 wk scan (right??) here we have to wait til 12 weeks!! I remember last time it seemed like a total eternity!

I am going in at 5 weeks just to meet them, usually they have you come in at 6 and scan then but they said come on in early if it makes me feel better! Then I will go in two weeks and get scanned but we are going to get a game plan in place so I don't have all these worries!

That's really good. I'm glad they're taking care of you, so they should.

So have you told lots of people or are you keeping schtum for the time being?? Hardest secret in the world to keep!! X
