Anyone TTC #1 and 30 or older?

Hi ladies, I just removed the image even though it was hidden, it just UGH makes me feel blah just looking at it, but I appreciate the feedback.

No appointment anytime soon and won't be able to unless it is very urgent. I'm having a regular AF cycle, going to see how things go next month, if anything else odd happens again then I'll go to urgent care or see my GP. Can't miss work much since I'm in charge there.

Good luck Angel!

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Woke up today with a temp rise (again!), but also have been throwing up since shortly after 5am, so I think it's more of illness than accuracy. :/

I had the peak yesterday, so we BD yesterday and will try to BD today and tomrorow (if I still feel like this that will be tricky ) but I am expecting a giant temp drop for O day, and haven't seen that yet. So I am hoping tomorrow I see a big drop and then a rise again Sunday

Sorry you are sick. I hope u get that temp drop. Keep us updated. Hope the swimmers catch that egg!

I'm feeling a lot better this evening. Slept until 3pm today, with a couple hours awake in the middle. All in all I think my body was just saying F*** Y** after all the stress and stuff I've ut it through the last week and a half.

Definitely going to BD this evening since I'm feeling better. I took another couple IC OPKs today just to make sure that my surge wasn't really long but they were negative so I should O within a day or two. Still have EW cm too, so that's good sign. :)

star I realized I didn't answer your question about whether Digitals are more sensitive. The digi's leave no question as to whether the surge is really there or not. They are really expensive though so I tend to use cheapies that I buy on amazon (I buy wondfo brand, I LOVE THEM) so I can test daily or twice a day if I want without worrying about cost. When I use the regular digitals I do the cheapies until I get one that appears to be close to positive and then I do a digi (in the same urine cup so it's same urine and I don't have to do another hold) to confirm. When I'm using the advanced digi's (which I am this month and last month) I can't do that because the advanced ones read your estrogen and your LH. You get a bouncing smiley face when your estrogen surges, indicating you are getting fertile and then the solid smiley to indicate the LH surge.

I don't think the digital is any more sensitive, I just think it takes away the guess as to whether or not the lines are the same color. the one thing I Don't like about the digitals is that, at least with the advanced, once you get a bouncy smiley it will always give you a bouncy smiley no matter what until you get a solid. I read somewhere that someone said you could dip it in water and it will still give you a bouncing smiley because it goes off memory for that. Which is why once I get a bouncy smiley I don't always test in the mornings anymore, until I get a +OPK on the ICs and then test with the advanced then. So I'm not wasting the tests.

I think I will look into getting the cheapies too. I've been using the clear blue and they are super expensive. I had been receiving solid smileys for over a week but they have finally gone away. It was negative yesterday and today. Last week my bloods shoes low progesterone. So no ovd. I'll find out more info on Monday when I go to my first FS appointment.

I'm glad you are feeling better and that you got to sleep in. Your body needed the rest and that will help with the BDing as well. hope you get your ovd soon. Good luck!

Star_e I started using ICs recently too (I bought a combo pack of Wondfo OPKs and HPTs on Amazon) and it makes me feel less guilty about my newfound POAS addiction. Good luck on Monday and keep us posted!

Definitely keep u posted. Got another positive opk today. Those tests just read positive for me. Right now I don't think they are helpful as they have read positive for almost two weeks now. I'll let u know what she says. I don't think I have ever looked forward to a Monday more than right now. Even though this ttc journey is fundamentally a waiting game, requiring a vast amount of patience, my restlessness is tempered, if only slightly, by more information. So I think seeing an FS will help me, feelings wise, bc hopefully I will have more contact w her than w my obgyn and at least know what's going on even if it's bad news. At least I know.

Star - are you using advanced or regular CB Digi? I would definitely look into some ICs. I love the Wondfo packs from Amazon. I get like 100 OPKs and 20hpts for around $30 ish. It's awesome.

AFM - my temps are confusing the heck out of me. No rise and no drop. This is really high for me for a preO temp. And today will be 2 days after peak so I should O if I am going to. :/ I'm actually wondering if it was a "false start". Like I geared up and didn't O? Can't think of anything else. I guess it's just a waiting game to see what the temps do.

Angel do u normally O around the same time? Have u ever skipped a cycle before?

Do you all recommend that taking charge of your fertility book? Does she really give helpful tips?

Star - since I stopped bcp my O date has varied. For the first several months it was around CD25-28, with an 8-9 day LP. But in the last several months it's moved to usually between CD13 - CD18, with a 10-11 day LP. I've never missed a month before, and even on months i've had a late O, I typically get my temp rise the day after my +OPK or two days later at least (I usually O on the day of my peak OPK sometimes the next day). There was one month when my rise was actually 4-5 days later, which was an odd month. I've never O'd without a drop in temps into at least the low 97s or high 96s. This is just a very odd month for me.

EDIT: I must have posted just at the same time you posted your second question.

yes, I def recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility. There's some great info in there!

Okay I'll get the book. Thank you! I hope you ovd soon. Keep us updated. Btw do you ever get positive OPKs for a long time or do you stop testing after getting a positive?

I've only gotten a +OPK more than one day in a row twice (been testing now for 11 months). That was a long surge where I got a + late one evening and then still had a + the next day early morning. Otherwise I never get a +OPK for more than one day. I always test for a day or two afterwards just to make sure.

Angel - Good luck this cycle! Hopefully, you'll ov soon. It looks like tomorrow's temp should be higher, since you've had a pos opk, but if not then, I'd agree with the your body geared up and didn't quite make it theory. Are you still using opks?

star - I've heard some good things about TCOYF. Hope it helps!

AFM - 6DPO and had some spotting today. Here's hoping it's IB and not a super early AF arrival. I haven't had IB before, so maybe that will mean good things this time around. But, I guess we'll see.

DBZ - what's your usual LP length? Keeping fx that it's in for you!

So my temp dropped today. I'm very confused. Am still using OPKs because my temps were really confusing but they've been negative (clear lines but negative). Even FF can't decide if I'm still fertile or not. I'm going to try to just keep BD every other day until I can confirm something :/

That sounds so frustrating! Sorry your body is messing you about, Angel. It sounds like your body is still primed for gearing up, if you're still getting lines on your opks. Hopefully you'll catch the next surge soon!

My usual LP is 12-13 days, without progesterone. So, 6DPO would be ridiculously early for AF. I wouldn't put it past her though, so I started progesterone last night. It also is supposed to help my lining be a bit more receptive to implantation, according to my doc, so it can't hurt, I figure. LP with progesterone is 14-15 days, so I'll probably test around there with a real test and do cheapies after 12DPO until then.

Hoping so! I think it's possible that all the stress from the last two weeks and my body just decided that :nope: it ain't doing it. :haha: I thought the surge wouldn't have happened though but we'll see. Going ot just keep taking OPKs until I get a confirmed temp rise, just in case.

With an LP that long I'd definitely say that this is too early for AF. Very possible that it's IB. :winkwink:

Hi girls, may I join? A little about me...I'll be 34 next month and DH is 34. This will be cycle #5 for us, and I've had 2 CPs.

DH and I will have genetic testing done on March 1st, and I'll also be tested for blood clotting disorder then. DH will also be getting another SA soon. He had one about a year ago and everything was low, so we were surprised that I got pregnant so quickly...though they unfortunately ended very early. He's been taking maca and a very potent vitamin so I'm curious to see if his numbers have changed. Oh, and I'm getting an ultrasound done tomorrow to see if they can find any cysts or anything that could be causing problems. I take lots of supplements too, but this cycle I started taking Vitanica's Pregnancy Prep. Has anyone heard of it or tried it before?

CD2 for me today. Looking forward to POAS!

Welcome Mrs. Rose! I hope they do not find any cysts and good luck with this cycle.

I finally had my first FS appointment today.

and the doc says the game plan is to up the clomid dose, do follicle monitoring (3 times during the cycle), give me a trigger shot and also do IUI.

Is this skipping a step? I mean, shouldn't we be uping the dose of clomid, doing the trigger shot and trying to conceive by BDing?

Is IUI something people jump straight to after one failed round of clomid?
