Anyone TTC #1 and 30 or older?

This TWW is totally dragging!!! But I don't feel like I'm going crazy this month like I did last month. Usually by 9 or 10 DPO I start going nuts.

Oh & DH and I do not want to adopt so it is conceive naturally next year or we are childless.

I got pregnant naturally first month we tried but miscarried early. Then found out 5 months later that I have high FSH. I've been doing acupuncture and Chinese herbs for the past 3 months. We're on our 7th cycle of trying, so approaching the 1-year mark. As far as I know the only fertility treatment that I could possibly use is a donor egg with IVF...other treatments will not work on me because I have high FSH (crappy eggs).

Do you know the reason why your eggs are not the best quality? I also have egg quality issues...

Hi ladies, hope everyone is having a good day!
12dpo here, still waiting to poas.

Nope....I assume just bad luck?? I'm only 34, I never smoked, I'm not overweight, I don't have any health issues. I wasn't aware that there were reasons for having high FSH at a young age.

Thank you cutestuff, that was beautifully said and so true. It's easy to lose track of what we do have when we're all caught up in TTC.

Good luck drjo, we're all rooting for you!

MJs, what you're going through is so unfair. Adoption is not for everyone, but is there any reason why you only want to try till next year? Or do you mean stopping actively TTCing and just NTNP?

Just got back from my HSG and it went pretty well. Not much pain and only some slight spotting now. The lady doctor was very nice and pretty talkative:haha: Both of my tubes are clear:thumbup::happydance: She said we were welcome to start BDing tonight if we're up for it and since there were no problems, that our chances of getting a BFP are higher now:thumbup: So we should by all means give it a shot this month:happydance:

Glad it went well and that the doctor was nice! It all sounds positive, get busy :happydance:

Thanks Fleur:flower:

That's the plan, hoping DH is up for it tonight:haha:

The only bad news is that our clinic can't start our 1st IUI until after New Years as it'll be cutting it way to close to Christmas :nope: But my RE said that there's a good chance now I could get pregnant naturally now that my tubes have been cleaned out so we can hope. Her advice was to get busy the next couple of days :haha: So unless AF comes here early, I should first call again when/if the AF after it shows up which will be after New Years.

Good to hear that kat. Good luck! Hope u get a bfp this cycle.

Next year I'll turn 35 and DH will be almost 41. It's mostly due to DH's age and worrying that we'll be too old and tired to be parents. I know it sounds silly, but there has to be a point when we just accept that it's not working and that we are getting too old. If DH and I were the same age I might try until I was 37, but even then I get nervous about the increased chance for birth defects, etc.

Great news, Kat! Hopefully the HSG has cleared the way for your DH's swimmers to make their way to your egg!
