Anyone TTC #1 and 30 or older?

Thank you Kat, it seems like I am lucky and having an easy first trimester. I hope you’ll also be pregnant with your rainbow baby VERY soon!

TexMel, by “my” dates I’m 10 weeks 4 days today but going by yesterday’s scan I’m 11 weeks which doesn’t seem possible! Maybe the baby will just be tall like DH. The rocking boat feeling sounds weird! I’m glad you’re having it pretty easy so far. I was so worried that I have no symptoms but I would have hated to throw up. 8 weeks already, exciting!

MissDoc, I am feeling more hopeful now. Please don’t feel silly about updating us, we’ve all had months where nothing was happening and we’re glad to keep up with you. Hope the digital OPKs will give you clear results this month. Focusing on optimal health is a great plan, it’s all to prepare for the baby!

cutestuff, are you having any other unusual symptoms? Having said that, they can go either way, but I so hope this is your month! When can you test?

I hope so too. It would be nice if it happened this time seeing as how it's my birthday next month (May 1st) and I had my chemical at the end of April so would be appropriate. But not holding my breath:nope:

Here's hoping cutestuff :dust:

Hi Fleur... at least you made it further than you ever have before. That is good news.
No not really any other symptoms I just dont know what to think because I spotted on and off for almost a week and I was not doing any OPKs cause I did not see the point. I figure I will test in two weeks from today at the latest. I most likely will test next week and then go from there.....

Ladies- I have an update and I apologize in advance I am a bit confused but I think I have an answer.....

So I told you all I spotted on and off all week last week and had a couple of undefined could be pregnancy symptoms or could be related either to af or working out. I caved and took a test this morning....

To my surprise, a faint non squinter second line popped up.... That's right: :bfp: then a couple hours later, I felt what could only be something like an electric shock go through my vagina (sorry TMI) and had about another hour of spotting. No cramps and the spotting is gone and hasn't come back but I am also not having tremendous amounts of symptoms either. My original plan was to retest this weekend and make sure the line was darker and also with a digital, but now I am concerned about a possible chemical or etopic pregnancy... Just looking for advice....

Cutestuff-- Wow, how exciting! I wouldn't read too much into the symptoms, but I haven't had an ectopic so maybe someone else will know more and can weigh in. But I certainly wouldn't assume that was the case based off of the vaginal cramp and bit of spotting. If I were in your position I'd probably retest every couple of days at this point (because I'm a crazy and impatient woman!) to notice any changes in readings. A tentative congratulations to you!

Congrats cutestuff:happydance:

As to the lack of symptoms I wouldn't worry so much. It's perfectly normal to first have symptoms between 4-6 weeks of pregnancy and some are just lucky and don't really get any symptoms. I would think as long as you're not cramping while the spotting is happening it should be fine but I'm not an expert or have any experience in this:nope: Maybe try testing again in 2 days and see if the line is darker? That should be a clear sign that it's not a chemical at least.

I hope someone can better advise you:flower:

OMG, congrats cutestuff, how exciting ! Do you know when you ovulated? I'm almost 11 weeks now and haven't really had any symptoms except for slightly sore boobs in the beginning and I spotted for about 10 days after my BFP. My lines didn't start getting darker till about a week after my first BFP. I know how stressful this is with the cramps and spotting be but I'll be keeping everything crossed that you have a happy and healthy pregnancy :hugs:

Kat, I hope you'll also get a nice surprise before your birthday.

Hi everyone... Thank you. I am still in shock and I don't know if I believe it yet.
Fleur-- not sure when I ovulated as I never got a true positive, but I got faint lines from Wednesday thru Friday two weeks ago then spotted from Sunday thru monday of this week and decided to take a test cause I couldnt handle it. Not much really symptom wise other than peeing a lot, being tired, and some soreness in my boobs. Feels more like I stretched them out while working out or something. The spotting went away so I think it was just a one time occurrence, but I dont know if I can handle the wait.... I am planning to retest Saturday cause I really want to know and be sure of it... That said, if this is real I will be due two weeks before Christmas and 4 weeks after my 31st birthday... So nice... I just hope I am not crazy..... LOL

Those ARE symptoms :happydance: I'm so happy for you!

Cutestuff: Yep, those DO sound like symptoms. :-D Gosh, what a crazy feeling that must be! I hope it nestles in really well and your next test brings more confirmatory good news.

Kat: I agree with Fleur, what a perfect bday gift would that be?! As usual, I'm sending positive baby-sticking vibes your way. :)

Fleur: 11 weeks! Wow, sounds like you have a little basketball player in there. :p So glad you've found some peace in enjoying this pregnancy and that all is going so well with the little one.

Thanks for encouraging me to stay involved, ladies. Even when I'm not posting I'm checking in on your progress! It looks like in May my fertile window falls during our 5th anniversary, and that's when I hope to be cleared to try again. However unlikely, how cool would it be for that cycle to be the successful one? Makes for a sweet storyline (in my imagination). :p

Thanks MissDoc:flower: I'll be sending tons of :dust: your way for an anniversary conception:happydance:

AFM I'm only 3 dpiui so nothing yet. Thought I'd mention I've joind an online support group (on Reddit) for people who've grown up with a family member(s) suffering from NPD and have made a friend already:) So won't be bothering everyone (much:haha:) with my family drama since I have a place to vent and share stories with others:blush:

Finally heard back from the dr. RE thinks I would not likely have a polyp because they don't tend to grow back that fast. The lab result came back saying that I have a 'disordered proliferative phase' but RE told me that is the most common result and not to worry about it, also showed no endmetritis. What a wild ride. A crazy biopsy with an unexpected result that we couldn't try this month, to a possible polyp, to the need for another DNC, ending with a 'you're fine'. **shaking head**

Hi ladies!

I haven't been here in a while but I think I've caught up now.

dede: Sorry to hear about all the ups and downs but I'm very glad to here that the end prognosis was "you're fine". :hugs: to you!

Kat: I'm glad to hear that you found that site and also found a friend so quickly. Good luck to you this tww (is it still two weeks with IUI?) Keeping my fx for you!!

MissDoc: Thanks for sticking around! :hugs: Your input, advice and encouragement to all the ladies are much appreciated. :hugs: :flower:

Fleur: I'm so happy to hear that the scan went well and that everything is progressing nicely. Big :hugs: to you and please keep us updated.

AFM:
I am pretty sure that I am now 1dpo. My temps rose considerably this morning and (tmi!) I had a dark red spot in my CM when I wiped earlier today which I think might have been O bleeding...? How long does it usually take before you notice OB (if you have any at all)? Hours or a day or two?

We didn't BD a lot this cycle (even though the plan was every second day... :dohh:) but hopefully it was enough...

Good luck everyone! :hugs:

Yes it is since you're inseminated on O day, preferably a few hours before O actually happens.

update: took a digi last night: pregnant. have some lower back pain and am still spotting a little each morning but it goes away. some soreness to my boobs, some nausea but no vomit yet. first appointment May 11 at 330pm. YAY :happydance:

MissDoc, I also had those “dates” in mind when TTC, oh a birthday / anniversary BFP etc. How cool would it be if you fell pregnant around your anniversary date! Sending lots of positive vibes your way!

Kat, glad you’ve found a group where you can share what you’re going through, they’ll probably have better advice than those who haven’t had any experience with it. How’s the 2WW going?

dede, wow, your head must have been all over the place but I’m glad that the final result is good. Hope you can relax a bit more now and get on with TTC.

EElse, I’ve never had ovulation bleeding but have heard of it. One time is all it takes so fingers crossed for you!

cutestuff, congrats again!

Hope everyone else is doing well, do check in even if you don't have any major updates :flower:

I guess it's ok. I'm 7 dpiui today and have gotten a stuffy nose, like I'm getting a cold :( Otherwise doing fine and taking things easy.

I challenged myself one night (to get over my rejection fears) and decided to reconnect with an old friend from High School. He accepted my friend request over FB and asked me how it was going. I sent him as short of an answer as possible while still trying to tell him how my life is now since we last saw each other 15 years ago. I wrote him back Sunday morning but he hasn't answered me yet and I can see he saw the message about 1 hour after I sent it. Don't know if I wrote a little bit too much but it's honestly a very short paragraph. I guess my question is: what's the norm for waiting for an answer to a PM over FB before writing back in case it's slipped the person's mind? He lives in England BTW. Don't want to come off as stalker crazy :haha:
