Anyone TTC baby #1 who is between 24-29?

Thank you lilmonkey! I said the same thing, it's better than he has problems, than me...THANK YOU for the BFP, I hope you are right!!! I definitely will let you guys know when I get a BFP!!!!

How about you? Is your doctor putting you on clomid? I heard that works wonders!! Also, you should try fertilaid!! I used it to just help and it definitely helped my cycle be right on track!!! It's not too expensive either!!! I can't wait to see your BFP!!!!

I am not sure exactly what he will do, I go see the fertility doctor on February 13th, so hopefully they will quickly figure out what my best course for action is.

Don't worry about the Fertility Specialists, they were awesome when we went! My husband got his SA back and his sperm count and motility are normal but his morphology is low. So there is some at-home remedies we can do for a couple of months and if nothing, they want us to get an IUI!

I hope you have benefits of some sort to help with the cost, I hear the IUI and IVF can be very expensive...

hey 24y/o here, hubs is 25...went off bcp in september..had 2 normal 28 day cycles, then a 34 day cycle and on day 48 now..took the last of my 5 day rx for provera to try to induce a period..ladies at work were like "why are you rushing? you're so young! you don't need meds.."...listen, not having a period in 48 is not normal (in general, let alone for me)..expected to be irregular after going off the pill, but this is ridiculous...just did what the MD told me to! they kinda have experience in this area ~lol~ got a bottle of vitex that i am gonna start taking...anyone else take it? wondering if i should wait until i get a period from the provera and start then or just take it starting tmw?? good luck ladies :)

Hey Ladies,
Just thought I would pop on and see how everyone is doing.... I saw the FS and had my blood work, everything seems to be normal for me, I need to lose about 10 pounds but I am working on that now, DH had a low count and low motility so he had to do a repeat test, which i have to call for results today, the only thing that came back abnormal for me was the fact that i am not immune to Rubella, I had to get a Rubella Vaccine therefore I am now in the WTT category... although i kinda messed up and DH and I got caught in the heat of the moment and BD'd.... and of course i think o'd that day so i am a little nervous for this month.... I am not suppose to get PG for 84 days after the rubella vaccine (I lasted 12 days :dohh:) so if I am PG i am just [-o< that nothing is wrong! Hope everyone is well! :dust:

Thanks! Yeah my wl doc and ob/gyn told me the same thing! I hope thats the case!!!!

Congrats on the weight loss! I am trying to go that route too, I feel like the extra weight is throwing off the balance of things in my system...

@Amcolecchi Did you try the acupuncture thing yet? I have heard of men having success with it too, maybe it would be cheaper then some other options?

After a few months of waiting, my DH and I got our appointment at the fertility specialist. It was a very nice kind of place, quieter, cleaner, more soothing than a lot of regular drs offices, which is good because I think we were both pretty nervous.

Talked with a nice DR who, unlike my GP, didn't say, "You're young, keep trying!"
Instead he said, "you're young, if you've been trying this long, there is probably something wrong- let's find out and fix it."
Finally!
So we arranged some tests. DH will have his stuff tested out, of course, and I'm set up for some blood work and also an HSG. In the letter, it said that sometimes the HSG itself, a test I guess where they flush out your system and also inspect it, anyway, sometimes the flush itself is all you need to get pregnant apparently! That would be the best.
But I've always been paranoid about fibroids, cysts, and endometrosis. I had a big ovarian cyst once that ruptured a few years ago, not a good time, and I always get terrible terrible cramps when AF comes.
I'll keep you posted on the HSG- it's next Tuesday, eek!
Has anyone else had one?

I have to say, it is so nice to know that all of this stuff is free...thank you Canada!

Hey Impatient,
just wondering where in Canada are you? not sure what province your in but I know here in Ontario that even IVF is partially covered so instead of being tens of thousands of dollars its about $2,500 which isn't bad... that is the one thing I am thankful for... I am so happy to be here, especially when i think about how expensive the same procedure would be in other countries!

Yes, it's the same where I am! I really hope it doesn't come to that, I recently turned 27, but I still feel like I should have enough time to fix myself somehow...

In other news, my brother and his wife just announced that they are expecting! I am super super excited for this, this will be the first baby in our family out of all my siblings and my dh's siblings too.

I hope that I can follow in their footsteps, and I also hope that if I am lucky enough to conceive that I don't steal anyone's thunder!

That's awesome congrats on your little niece/nephew, I just recently turned 27 also, I have 2 nieces that are 6 months and 6 1/2 months old, so i am kind of trying to just enjoy being an auntie and not be too upset about not being about to conceive ourselves, it helps because i can still hit the baby section every time i am out and just buy a new little outfit or toy for my nieces, I keep hoping that even though there isn't much hope of us conceiving without help that i will go to the FS and just find out that miraculously it has happened... at this point i am getting so impatient that i am willing to pay for IVF just to have a baby now :( GL and FX'd for a :bfp: for everyone.

Happy easter everyone! Hope u all have a wonderful day with family and friends!!!

i still don't believe this is true. i was 2 days late which isn't exactly abnormal except this is my first cycle off of bc which means im usually right on time. Well i couldn't not test so i figured i would use up my last test and not buy anymore, but now im inclined to buy more to make sure this really is true....
